I still have my D80! I shoot it with the old 50mm f/1.8 AF-D lens, and there's something about the results that just look great to me. Plus, I work in education and often will give the camera to kids to see what they can do, and the results are so much fun, good stuff!
The Nikon d3100 was such a solid pick I'm glad you said the pros and the cons. Because even though it shoots good pictures it's video its the not the best but that camera was such a greater starter. The Nikon D80 was my first serious digital camera. Ergonomically it's the best camera I've ever used. The only reason I left Nikon was because they refused to expand their line of small, light primes for APS-C. I miss that camera.
One advantage of the Nikon D80 over the D3100 that was not mentioned is that the D80 has an autofocus motor in the camera body, so it can use older AF lenses that don't have a built-in motor. The D3100 needs AF-S lenses for autofocus and can only do manual focus with older lenses.
I liked the D80 a lot for its controls; it handles quite well in my opinion. I like having the top LCD and more physical buttons compared to one of the smaller DSLRs or mirrorless options
I recently picked up a Canon 30D for relatively cheap and I've been absolutely loving it. I slapped an ancient EF mount kit lens on it and I've been doing car photography for my friends. For the money I spent I'm happy
My first DSLR was the D80. Loved it. Didn't know about the CCD vs. CMOS sensors; thanks for explaining. I have a D750 and D500 now. As great as they are, I'd swear that pix I took with the D80 are often just as good, which usually relates to the CCD sensor.
You said it first, and I said it above....I much preferred the sensor on my D80 as opposed to the D7000 I bought afterwards. I wanted to go full sensor but could never justify the $ for the semi-pro event stuff I did.
I currently shoot a D300 and a D300s. SO under rated. also D80 is a gem. having said that, I recently got a sony ZV-1 and was amazed how camera tech has advanced in the last decade.
I'm so used to using a viewfinder and I switched from the d3200 to a sony nex5 and that took some getting used to, but the photos were perfectly fine. And it fits in your pocket. with light room's new noise reduction you only need to worry about your lens really. I like using vintage lenses for artistic shots
D3100! my first DSLR! Bought it second hand years ago. I still use it for risky environments like sailing! If it get's damaged or sunk - oh well. It's a tool and i still use it where needed. Currently have the D5600.
Fall 2023 and people are asking too much all around for many old cameras. But I've noticed Canon's 40D go for cheap, even down to $40 I stil use mine and it takes good quality 10Mp raw & jpegs, but no video. Sort of a semi pro model, and sturdier than later iterations in the Canon two digit line. One negative with this is that the shutter does not like far below zero C temperatures. For that, get a Pentax or Canon's 7D, which is really well built and can be had for as low as 150 USD.
It's always good to look for body and lens options, it is often cheaper when people sell an old gear and doesn't have much knowledge about the cameras. My first interchangeable lens camera was Canon EOS M, I bought it with ef M 18-55 in 2019 for 780 PLN which is 158 USD now (was closer to 200 USD few years ago because we have greater inflation now than US). The lens alone was worth more... I used it for 2 years and then switched to Fuji which was a major improvement for me in the terms of image quality
D5100 is similar to the 3100, but has an articulating screen. Similar specs and price range, too. And a work-around the auto video settings is the exposure lock. You can set it once it adjusts to the lighting, and then release it and reset it when the lighting changes. Not perfect, but gives you a little more control.
Have the same camera rn, borrowed it from my cousins as the camera was literally just gaining dust in their drawer. Have a slight vignette on the screen but really doesn't matter. Takes great photos even with only the kit lens that came with it. My only issue with it is that it doesn't have good fps for burst shooting(which is a must when trying to shoot sports which is what I mainly shoot)
I've got a D3200 which is a fantastic camera for £110 with a kit lens, battery and charger. I would recommend a Canon EOS 400d/Rebel XTi as well which I have used. That would fit nicely in the under £100/$100 budget with slight upgrades over the EOS 350d/Rebel XT. Just wanted to say thank you foxtail as your vids helped me a lot in finding my D3200 as I was clueless about Nikon cameras before I watched your channel. Cheers!!
In case nobody has clarified this for you: the Dxx series ended at D90 (because Dxxx are FX & the 2 pro DX bodies) and was replaced by the Dxxxx series, with the D7xxx being the true successor while the D5xxxx and D3xxx are dumbed-down versions.

I rocked a d3200 for years until I got a d7100 which could auto focus my tokina 100mm macro lens, I would not be surprised if the D3100 was just as usable. It ended up being a pretty good body as a webcam with a $5 HDMI to USB adapter and power adapter.
I may not have the vocabulary to describe it but when I saw the photos from the CCD sensor, I immediately recognized the color profile and grain from when I took pictures in HS with those cameras, to me it’s a bridge between film and the more saturated colors of CMOS sensors
I bought a Sony Nex 5T with kit lens, flash and a leather mini bag all for $140 bucks, I think it's one of the best purchases I've done, I totally recommend the Nex 5R or 5T for beginners (like myself) 💯
Good video. I have a Nikon D7100 which I love. I noticed you were wearing Calgary Flames tshirt. I hope they have a good season despite losing two of their best players.
You can use manually settings for video on the 3100. You have to dial in your settings turn on live view then take a photo but then after when you start filming it will film with settings you dialed in
I just picked up an Olympus E-410 with 2 lenses, like new for about 130$ shipped. I regularly see Pentax cameras for around the 100$ mark that would be really good for budget and beginners alike.
I needed a DSLR in a hurry and couldn't afford a full frame camera at that time, so after doing some research, I bought a Nikon D90. The plan was to do this job, save up and get a full frame camera. Many years later, I am still using it. I have been shooting professionally for over 50 years and had a commercial studio for 32 of those. Since I sold the studio and retired, my needs have changed and the. D90 suits me just fine. Good video!
got a gf3 with 14 - 42 lens , one battery and strap . Came with box and all that crap . Missing the wall charger ( standard panny charger ) for $30 Canadian money , so about 22 USA money . Most of these cameras are around or well under 100 bucks in my Canadian cities buy and sell . None of them are relevant and desired these days . Good luck shopping .
Nikon d3100: 99$ in good condition Nikon d80: 99$ in good condition Sony nex c3: 50$-70$ in ok- good condition Canon rebel xt: 20$-35$ in good condition Panasonic gf3: around 90$ in good condition This is what i found. Ofc you wont get a perfect new camera but i found all in good condition under 100$
The 350D- pretty much an "entry level" back in the day- but I loved them... Just a great picture taker, with reliable metering. Totally dependable- and built SO much better that low end Canon's today...
For a solid 8MP DSLR look for a Canon 20D. You can find clean ones for around $50-60 US. I have one that is IR converted (bought it on eBay for around $100) and another I got from Adorama just over a year ago for $50. Added the used battery grip and a used 18-55mm and total it was around that $100 mark too. I enjoyed the 20D because it was more like shooting SLRs in that you kind of forgot about the LCD on the back and just used the camera like an old film camera. Do your part and see what you got when you get back and load from the CF card. There are some fun and solid old cameras that will still take some fine lenses and take some good images.
i even had a long time the Nikon D3100 - and it's in fact a good camera (without the video-problems; the only thing you might have forgot, that you need to put it in "live view" to record video) for a long time for me. the only point for me, to sell it (well, it stays in the family) was that you need a big bag when you use more than one lens - and that was something, what let me go "back" to the normal-looking cameras like a sony Rx-Series ('cause they're easier to travel with, especially when you don't want to have lots of luggage with you) - and a point for that change was even the display, or the option that you can't control the camera without need to stand behind it to look for the people (especially when taking group photos); when you don't need that, then the D3100 is a good choice - and it even gives a lot of lenses for them.
Great video. I'm a Nikon, photo only guy, but I wouldn't be against Canon either brand wise. I started with the D3100 and I bought a D90 and found I preferred the feel to use the D90 quite a bit more. But then I upgraded to a D300 and the D300s is still my favorite DX to use though I no longer have one. The D300 and D300s are pro quality and pro feeling cameras, especially with the battery grip. They are the sisters to the legendary Nikon D700 FX taking the same batteries and battery grip. I sold off all my photography gear, and ended up regretting it. I was able to get my D700 and I wish I could have got my D300s back too. Both cameras are a blast to use. I can't say how much a D90 cost now, but the D300 still cost like $300 to $400 I think for one in great shape with a low shutter count. The D300s is a bit higher. I think the D90 is video capable, but I'm not positive. But it is better than the D80 for sure. Anyway thanks for sharing the video. 😎👍
I had a D90 but sold the body a while back. I still had the lenses though I was primarily shooting Sony and Canon by then. Naturally, instead of getting rid of the lenses, I had to go find another body. I ended up getting a clean D300 for around $100. The last one I saw in a camera shop was right at $100. That shop won't even take them in anymore. They do seem to be grabbing a little more on eBay currently though. The D300 is a great camera that I enjoy using and I like the images from it. I may run a Canon 6D and 80D currently with nice lenses, but that D300 is a hell of a camera for small money that I will keep around and use with a few vintage lenses. I've seen more D80s on eBay and places with shutter errors that aren't fixed by cleaning the contacts than seem good and quite a few posts asking about that issue. A D300 is still a pretty solid camera that is easy to use.
I started with a D90, then to D7000, then D7200 & now D300s. I just wish Nikon had released a D400 with the D7000 sensor. The D7000 was let down by an unreliable AF system & questionable build quality.
Yeah that's what I said. The Canon XT was decent back in the day but it's only worth like 50 bucks now. My Canon SL1 is way better camera I paid about $100 also maybe I got a good deal. And I agree it's better than any other cameras compared in this video.
This Christmas, I was on holidays and I had forgotten my camera bag (with my camera) at the hotel, and when arrived at destination after a long trip, I and especially my wife were quite reluctant to go back for the camera. And as there was a lot of electronic shop in this area of the island, we visited one and found a little Panasonic GF3 NOS with its 12mm 2.5 , as I already own MFT cameras, I bought it, in the worst case only for the lens (the price for both was a bargain), the seller charged the battery during our lunch and I took pictures with this camera, and to be honest it's a nice little camera, and its 12mm is amazing. I have this little one with me all the time, with the 12mm and the pana 14-42 pancake.
I got the 3100 from duty free and didn't know much, there is a guide mode which taught me heaps, I still have it and am surprised at how nice the old pictures look...
Back around 2008 or 9, I bought a Canon Rebel XTi. For a 10 megapixel camera, it's not too bad. I found a software hack for it so now the camera thinks it's a Canon 30 or 40D. The ISO will now go up to a noisy 3200. It now has a built-in spot meter. The kit lens will not work properly with the software hack but I usually use it with a 17-35 2.8 L series lens that I picked up used. There are some gems out there for those willing to hunt them down.
Funny thing is that I shot a feature film on the Nikon D3100. I bought it not knowing it didn’t allow manual adjustments 🙄 I ended using the exposure lock to get my exposures. I was shooting in the woods, I would find the hottest spot in the woods, allow the camera to adjust, I would lock the exposure and check it if worked for the scene then shoot! Lol 😂 I soon upgrade to the T3i after that!
If your willing to spend a tiny little bit more than a hundred bucks (around 150-200 at this time) you can get a Nikon d5100. I've been using mine since I got it about 5 years ago and its generally great for most everything as far as I can tell if you are a beginner making that transition into more intermediate things.
Good choice, D80 remains an excellent camera. Moreover, it is the last one with CCD sensor, in its most advanced form. Shortly after CMOS took over (D90 etc.). Also worth mentioning, Nikon D200 with the same sensor and processor as D80 but with much better build quality can be found at approx. USD 100 these days.
Mirror less, compact, cameras ! the innovation has entered here as well, which was obvious demand, when Mobiles have made headways ! I have Nikon D3400 model camera as on now.
If you look around a little bit you can get a Nikon D300 for around $150. Wow, what a camera! To date I have been luck and have 5 of these that I got for around $150 with less than 2K on the shutter. The build quality and 12MP sensor are outstanding. The best part for me is that it can AF older screw drive lenses. I don't know what it is about the D300 but I prefer it to my D600, D7000 and D7100 in terms of image quality. The higher ISO quality is wanting, but over all, the D300 is by far my favorite Nikon DSLR. Would I get a 6th one? If the price and condition is right, yes. I hope that you have the chance to get a D300. The D300 uses CF cards but the CF / SD card adapter works great.
Found a D300 for my daugther for christmas. 200€ with a 35 f1.8dx, a 18-200VR and à second batterie. And just found a D200 for 50€. Both like new. Far better than a D3000 or a D80.
I’m getting into photography, and I can’t decide between D3100 and D300. Found D300 at $117 and D3100 at $123 (both don’t include lenses). Which one should I go for?
@@panconleche6311 Hands down the D300. It's built like a tank but most importantly it can use older screwdrive Nikon lenses. My favorite lens set up is a Nikon 18-55mm VR, a 28-80mm G and a 70-300mm G Nikkor or an 18-55mm VR and a 55-200mm VR. The D300 uses CF cards but you can get an SD to CF adaptor on Amazon for $11. It is well worth it as SD cards are cheap and easy to find, plus most computers have an SD card slot built in. 2 other lenses to consider are the 70-210mm 4.5-5.6 non D or the 70-210mm F4 These are outstanding film era lenses at a good price. Don't under estimate the humble 18-55mm "kit" lens it is sharp and versatile with good close focusing. I mentioned the 28-80mm G lens because it is a remarkable lens for only $40 The best part about this little gem is that it has only 6 elements in it for great sharpness.
Those screens are for checking the histogram, not for composing. The OVF is for that. And the top LCD screen on the D80 saves you a ton of time and battery when moving to different light locations. I'd concur on the D80. Thanks for the video!
I love Nikon older Nikon cameras. My carry camera is Nikon 1 which I believe was Nikon's first mirrorless. Built like a tank & great quality. My "big" camera is a D300...super heavy but professional grade in every way.
The D3300 is my first DSLR and still have it - bought it with a 2 lens kit back in 2015. 2014-2015 vintage and an updated version of the D3100. The further back in time you go usually the max ISO gets lower and lower, along with MP count. Nevertheless these older cameras can take great pics still in good lighting. I got the D7200 a couple years later and recently sold it (switching to mirrorless) but kept the D3300 since it is a nice compact travel camera. A few key limitations of the Dxxxx models - pentamirror instead of pentaprism so you don't get a 100% view (97% in the D3300), no internal focusing motor so the "D" series lenses have to be manually focused, and slower AF. Not great for sports/action (but still possible) but everything else is game.
I just picked up a Canon XSi from MPB for 38 bucks. It’s head and shoulders above the XTi. For under 100, you probably could have gotten a T2i for Canon with 18mp, video capability, and a way better rear screen.

Picking up the Sony Nex-C3 for $140 with kit lens. Looking to upgrade through other Sony camera bodies and take advantage of the E-mount for hoarding lenses. Great info thank you!
The accessory port on the NIkon's is their DC-2 port, which is used to connect things like GPS units, wireless/wired remotes and some flash accessories to the camera. They had this on most of their DSLRs but have omitted it on some of the new Z cameras (like the Z50 and Zfc, and it was also omitted on their D3400 and D3500 DSLR cameras).
The D80 is still a favorite among photographers, pro and amateurs alike. I love mine and it's proven to be a workhorse both in my usage in cosplay photography and photojournalism.
You should have added that the D80 supports older F mount AF lenses without a built in motor since it has the small screw drive in the mount while the D3100 only works with newer AP-S lenses. Important for those who like to use vintage and older AF lenses.
personally i would have recommended the Canon XSi over the XT, its $60-70 on average from multiple used camera gear sites, better quality 12mp vs 8mp, more features, larger lcd screen for reviewing photos or live view and super important part here, it uses typical SD cards over CompactFlash, which is way more convenient for anyone new to photography that likely doesn't have a CompactFlash card or reader
Generally, any camera that has an LCD on the top is going to be at least in the Prosumer band, at least on release. So the Nikon D80 was used by pro photographers who were just getting into digital.
I have the D3300 wich ups the resolution to 24mp, has better dynamic range, more features and much more. It is a really great option! Love it to this day. Some good glass on it and you can do work no one would suggest it's been made with a cheap oldish camera for sure!
Still love shooting with a 5D mk I that I got for like 200€ a couple of years ago. Paired with the 85mm 1.8 it’s a really enjoyable setup that is super affordable. Today the mk ii has also gotten quite cheap and brings some nice improvements, especially low light performance and video.
I managed to get a used Sony A3500 for a bit less than what should be equal to 100$ (I'm from Malaysia, got it for about 380 ringgit) And it's amazing for photo's for the price. It does struggle a little in low light but it works fine after cranking up the ISO a little. Video is decent enough, though it lacks stabilization even in the kit lens so it is a bit shaky. Overall it's a good budget camera, only problem is that I heard it's quite rare outside Australia and markets nearby.
My comments: I own both (2 of) the Nikon D3100 and (one of) the Nikon D80 - I would hightly recommend to step these up to Nikon D3200 and Nikon D300, which I also own a couple of - significant stepups for little money... and then sink a bit into some nice primes ;) The advantage of the D4300 is the much better screen over the D3100 and the D300 is an amazing "semi pro" which is just amazing - albeit that neither of these 4 are low-light kings ;)
You can make their colors even better using GIMP program and its two fully automatic operations: Colors -> automatic -> White Balance Colors -> Automatic -> Enhance Color Of course if you learn GIMP - it's powerful software - you can squeeze out of your photos much, much more.
For anyone wanting cheap DSLR option making great photos: Just buy Canon 5D and 50mm 1.8. Everytime i use this combo i am blown away by this cheap old system. You can also get YN 35mm f/2 for really cheap if you want something a bit wider. Also, buy m42 adapter and the whole world of great cheap manual focus lens is in front of you.

My first DSLR is a D3100 and I still have it and still works. 🙂
I learned a lot from it and will keep it even if I have newer bodies. 📸
I went from an XT, to a T3, and now an SL1, and I've gotta say the XT is a fantastic camera.
I still have my ( old ) D300 Nikon.. but im using a A7ii sony.. Missing shooting with that Nikon.. the sound!

I rocked a d3200 for years until I got a d7100 which could auto focus my tokina 100mm macro lens, I would not be surprised if the D3100 was just as usable. It ended up being a pretty good body as a webcam with a $5 HDMI to USB adapter and power adapter.
how did you fix the 30 minute live view timer? That's what annoys me about the D3300 as a webcam
My first was a d200, then a d300s, d800 and now I'm back to a d300. Love it.
The d3100 was my first DSLR and I absolutely love it
I may not have the vocabulary to describe it but when I saw the photos from the CCD sensor, I immediately recognized the color profile and grain from when I took pictures in HS with those cameras, to me it’s a bridge between film and the more saturated colors of CMOS sensors
I love my Nikon 3100! I bought it used and it one of my favorites to take photos at truck shows.

Im probably getting de D80 for a photography class since I don’t want to spend lots
A D300, D300s, or even a D200 would be good too, sometimes you can find them for around 100$, found a D300s recently with a 50mm 1.4D for 120$
Nice, I’m using a D200 with a lens from an old F100, great combination and gives such unique results. Must be the CCD sensor working it’s magic
Regarding Nikon camera series numbering -
Nikon D40 - D50 - D60 - D3000 - ...
Nikon D70 - D80 - D90 - D7000 - D7100 ...
Nikon D100 - D200 - D300 - D300s - D500
Good video!
still using my d3100! it's so crazy how good old cameras are!
How Good is the quality?? Can u zoom?
ok wrong not one of these camera are under 100$ wtf
yeh wtf
The whole point of this video gone
Things have certainly changed in the last year!
got a gf3 with 14 - 42 lens , one battery and strap .
Nikon d3100: 99$ in good condition
Nikon d80: 99$ in good condition
Sony nex c3: 50$-70$ in ok- good condition
Canon rebel xt: 20$-35$ in good condition
Panasonic gf3: around 90$ in good condition
This is what i found. Ofc you wont get a perfect new camera but i found all in good condition under 100$
The 350D- pretty much an "entry level" back in the day- but I loved them... Just a great picture taker, with reliable metering.
Totally dependable- and built SO much better that low end Canon's today...
Got a 350D here and recently a 40D. Takes "classic"-looking photos. The softness or the shots is just something else.
@@ayuchanayuko Indeed. They have such a smooth, refined texture- as did the 300D.
I have a 400d and completely agree with you, is a entry level camera but take a very nice photos
duuude, that was smart comparing the cameras while talking about the sponsors.
The d5300 might be one of the best budget cameras ever. Solid pics and 1080p 60fps! It got my career started in 2014/15!
I also have the Nikon D80 witch I purchased when first came out and still using it 2022 and is my favorite camera

I've been using a 30D for a similar sort of thing recently and it's been great. I just did a bunch of car photography with it today
i even had a long time the Nikon D3100 - and it's in fact a good camera (without the video-problems; the only thing you might have forgot, that you need to put it in "live view" to record video) for a long time for me. the only point for me, to sell it (well, it stays in the family) was that you need a big bag when you use more than one lens - and that was something, what let me go "back" to the normal-looking cameras like a sony Rx-Series ('cause they're easier to travel with, especially when you don't want to have lots of luggage with you) - and a point for that change was even the display, or the option that you can't control the camera without need to stand behind it to look for the people (especially when taking group photos); when you don't need that, then the D3100 is a good choice - and it even gives a lot of lenses for them.
I bought a Canon EOS 40D a few months ago for £70, and I gotta say I frickin' LOVE IT! 32,000 shutter count, too!

The D7000 was let down by an unreliable AF system & questionable build quality.
honestly the canon 100d out preforms all these cams and it shoots decent 1080p video with 18mp for 100$ used best bang for buck cam out there
and its pretty new so you get the perks of modern cameras like touch screen if you care for all that jazz
Yeah that's what I said. The Canon XT was decent back in the day but it's only worth like 50 bucks now. My Canon SL1 is way better camera I paid about $100 also maybe I got a good deal. And I agree it's better than any other cameras compared in this video.
@D R Nikon aren’t known for there video quality their known for photography cameras and canon has ten times better colour
I have this little one with me all the time, with the 12mm and the pana 14-42 pancake.
my favorite camera in this range would be my first ever camera, canon 1100d. great quality, great colors, great bokeh even with the kit lens 18-55
I got the 3100 from duty free and didn't know much, there is a guide mode which taught me heaps, I still have it and am surprised at how nice the old pictures look...
I can sign for the D80, I have had mine since 2007
Back around 2008 or 9, I bought a Canon Rebel XTi. There are some gems out there for those willing to hunt them down.
my grandpa discovered an old Sony NEX C3 at his house lol
Glad it's still an okay option!
really cool, I might start using it :)
Great video!
Nice video. I have a Canon XTI. It’s an oldie but a goodie.

CF cards are also ridiculously cheap and most of those cameras have slow write speeds so you don't even need a nice one
@@panconleche6311 if you want à real camera and progress on photography, of course and with no doubt the D300, nothing to see!
Great reviews on these cameras, thx for sharing
Ive just bought Nikon D200 for 100$, such an awesome camera.
I still own my Canon Rebel XT, from 2005, have taken around 200,000 fantastic shots and still works and looks like knew
Yessss!!! I was rooting for the D80! I kind of feel like my favorite football team just won.
Those screens are for checking the histogram, not for composing. The OVF is for that.
And the top LCD screen on the D80 saves you a ton of time and battery when moving to different light locations.
I'd concur on the D80. Thanks for the video!
Wow! I find this video rather insightful. Thank you for contributing to the community in a sexy way!
I love Nikon older Nikon cameras. My carry camera is Nikon 1 which I believe was Nikon's first mirrorless. Built like a tank & great quality. My "big" camera is a D300...super heavy but professional grade in every way.
the canon 400d makes very beautiful pics and was my first camera
Not great for sports/action (but still possible) but everything else is game.
it's a great camera, I still use a d3300 as my main even though I have a canon m50 mark ii
I just picked up a Canon XSi from MPB for 38 bucks. It’s head and shoulders above the XTi. For under 100, you probably could have gotten a T2i for Canon with 18mp, video capability, and a way better rear screen.
Could you make a budget friendly vid about cameras that shoot decent videos

Picking up the Sony Nex-C3 for $140 with kit lens. Looking to upgrade through other Sony camera bodies and take advantage of the E-mount for hoarding lenses. Great info thank you!
now under 200 or 500!! an auntie borrowed me the 3100 and its a very cool starter camera but i do need one for me, great channel btw :p
I have 3 DSLRs: Nikon D90, Nikon D7100 and Nikon D3400. My favourite it the D90. 😁

Nikon d80 is fantastic camera, it also has motor drive which will facilitate auto focus in non motor lenses.
I’m starting on the d7200, would you suggest some lens
Generally, any camera that has an LCD on the top is going to be at least in the Prosumer band, at least on release. So the Nikon D80 was used by pro photographers who were just getting into digital.
I have the D3300 wich ups the resolution to 24mp, has better dynamic range, more features and much more.
It is a really great option! Love it to this day. Some good glass on it and you can do work no one would suggest it's been made with a cheap oldish camera for sure!
absolutely phenomenal video
1 of these a year would be a great series, great vid 👍
My comments: I own both (2 of) the Nikon D3100 and (one of) the Nikon D80 - I would hightly recommend to step these up to Nikon D3200 and Nikon D300, which I also own a couple of - significant stepups for little money... and then sink a bit into some nice primes ;) The advantage of the D4300 is the much better screen over the D3100 and the D300 is an amazing "semi pro" which is just amazing - albeit that neither of these 4 are low-light kings ;)
I recently bought a GF3. It was ridiculously cheap, and gets used as a webcam, dashcam, semi-disposable camera.
Do you have the link so that I can buy it? Please 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I used to have the D40 but I sold it and got me a D90 and I love the color of the images!
You can make their colors even better using GIMP program and its two fully automatic operations:
Colors -> automatic -> White Balance
Colors -> Automatic -> Enhance Color
Of course if you learn GIMP - it's powerful software - you can squeeze out of your photos much, much more.
@@beholder2012 Thanks!
Great video. I had one of the old Rebel XT cameras.
Now I shoot with a second hand hardly used Pentax K5 ii S.
Awesome ad transition. 👌🏿
Good video. Best of luck to your channel mate.
