Back at ya 😉
Hello Gert's squirt! Great video mate
Thanks weirdo ! 😘
That bit of sampling with foam and the hex pattern was genius!
Thanks mate ! Totally stole it from the cosplayers
Looks amazing. That wifi USB hub is giving me ideas already.
Thank you.
Hi John - forgive the copy paste from another comment here: The WiFi card is a “wemos d1 mini” board that is very similar to “Arduino” (if you’ve heard of it). Available from amazon pretty cheaply, due to being mass produced in China! The interface board he used is a terrain tronics Harlech Castle board. There’s “codeless” examples over on TerrainTronics channel/website.
I like that " l am the whole zoo , not just a monkey." Good build , l have been putting off the lighting my builds , my daughter came home from the $ store with 50 or so , looks like it is time.
It’s time !
Thanks 😉
You're seriously one of my top five fave content providers. Great build, great humor, completely educational and entertaining. Keep on keeping on, Gert!
Thank you very much!
Will do.
wow this one was fantastic sir, that containment tank was a great example of how few elements can make something look so damn cool.
Thanks !
That monkey part made me laugh pretty hard. Keep up the great work, been really enjoying your content.
Thanks ! Enjoy 😉
I like your stuff, Gert. Extra kudos for using wire-wrap to connect the circuit.
Thanks !
Mooi Gert bedankt voor de video. Gr.John (opa)
Dank u ! Hopelijk tot binnenkort.
@@DarkMatterWorkshop i hope so :)🤪
Nice use of resin. Liked your critter, too.
Thanks !
Thanks for the laugh, I needed it.
Glad I could help, cheers 😉
Ah yes, the highlight of the day. Always a good time seeing you work on projects. Neat trick with the storage bin for the hex pattern flooring. Now I need to keep my eye out for something that has a similar pattern. The detail work really brought this to life, love the flickering light in particular. Great work as always!
Thank you very much!
Awesome Gert. Love the led lights will need to check out the wifi card.

Yay. DMW video. Boom. The weekend begins.
BOOM !
Gert, it's been a minute, I hope all is well in your world. Much love and great sounds!
All is well, coming back soon.
Thanks 😉
This is one of those times where I'm not even a minute in and I've got to say I love it. 👏
Thanks !
Very interesting. It looks so cool! 😜😍
Thanks !
this is one awesome looking terrain! You put a lot of effort in this piece. Excellent work!
Thank you !
I am loving this music, nice stuff.
Thank you !
damn that looks cool. i was kinda hoping that the creature head in the tank would also be engulfed in some kind of liquid but i guess thats hard to emulate.
awesome work either way!
Thanks ! Yes, I thought about pouring resin in the tank but time was of the issue so I decided against it.
Maybe in the future.
Gert, thank you for the shout out! I have to say, I was amazed how little support you needed to get up and running. Brains and Dashingly Good Looks! :)
Yes ! 😂😉
From now on you will be known in our house as Gert the grey. Grey is our favourite colour. Great build as always and using our favourite materials, junk, love it.
Gert the Grey ? I like it !
Thanks for watching 😉
Last time, I voted for Eric.
This time, no shame to Knarb, but you definitely nail it, so far!
Oh, so when there are no negative consequences you vote for me ?! Thanks !
😉
Great video. Even greater background music.
Thanks !
Loved the music this episode! I know you do it yourself so I wanted to make sure it got some conspicuous appreciation!
Thank you ! Much appreciated.
Stamping patterns in to hot EVA Foam is a great idea.
Thanks ! Expect more EVA stuff soon(ish)
@@DarkMatterWorkshop I can see the thicker EVA Foam being useful for making curved walls.
For shure !
Fabulous I’m trying to build a feature like this for my model railway 👌😎 great work sir 👍🏻
Thank you !
Hidiho. Great as always. See ya!
😉
a good trick i have found from my time as a cosplayer is to have an ice cream container filled with cold water to drop your hand into if you get hot glue onto it
Great trick ! Thanks 😉
Bromance between you and Bill really cracks me up. I think the creature you made looks so cool! Also great tattoo.
Thanks ! 😉
That finishing touch with the resin was a great add!
Thank you.
Nice, Gert! The finish on the tank, and the green ick turned out great. Nice looking piece
Thank you !
Woaw, awesome ! 👌👌👌
Thanks mate !
Another excellent video man. Underrated tip with heating the EVA foam to add texture and patterns; such an excellent, cheap and fast method for builders! Keep up that great work
Thanks ! Will do.
Very inspiring video, it's giving me great ideas for my terrain. Thanks a lot! By the way, the music is sick, consider uploading it to youtube. I'm sure many people, myself included, would love to hear the whole thing!
Thanks ! Working on a album, hope to release soon(ish).
From Darkness, We Ascend. (Great Build!)
Thanks !
great work indeed :)
Thanks !
Hello. Great video, this looks so cool. I'm never any good at scratch building
Keep doing it, you WILL get beter!
This is fantastic Gert! Well done on a great project! 👍🏻
Thanks !
OK, maar deze is echt te cool!
Merci ! 😉
Wow. Ziet er vet uit
Dank u wel!
Exelent video... Like allways.
Thank you !
Baking soda! Not just for cooking crack! U can use it on terrain too! 🐶😂🤷♂️
Indeed ! 😏
Fantastic video as always, I have finally managed to get some foam board so I can't wait to try out something like this myself!
Thanks ! Have fun 😉
splendid
Thanks !
AHHHH! something horrible happened to Crafsman, and Gert has him in a jar!
😂 it does look abit like him.
I dont know why but I cannt feel safe when someone calls me children of light
Do you feel beter knowing i’m a sarcastic bastard ? 😉
"Eerste keer alleen thuis met de wifi code". hahaha veeg me op.
😏
Quality
Thanks !
I was the 500th like woot!
Thanks !
Super sweet! Fantastic detail and grunginess! Whatever is that blue wiring tool?
Thanks ! That’s a wire wrapping tool great alternative for soldering.
Hi Mike - Wire Wrap tool, available from Amazon and Aliexpress - not much a price difference. Expect to pay ~$18USD for one. Wire wrap tools work AWESOME on devices with square shaped pins. For devices with round pins (such as the leg of a resistor), you can still use a wire wrap tool, but bear in mind that without corners, the wire won't "grab". I suggest giving it a quick blob of solder as well.
@@TerrainTronics Thanks!
Great build! I have to ask you in about 5 min in the build the plastic container you glued plasticard to it, but how did you paint the inside of the plasticard after? I presume you either just ripped them apart or made a new container with prepainted strips :D
Thanks ! I just painted the inside of the container where the white was showing thru.
Awesome as ever! What is that magical stick you use for the LED?!
Thanks ! That’s a wire wrapping tool.
@@DarkMatterWorkshop thanks, I'll look into that one!
Your music is excellent. Is there a place I could listen to it?
Thanks ! Not yet.
Awesome build. Whats that tool called that you used to join the wires to the LEDs?
Thanks ! It’s a wirewrap tool you can find it on amazon
That looks brilliant. Did you say you had Wi-Fi when you were 14??? I feel old!
No I ment the internet acces code, you know what i mean 😉
That's impressive - when I was 14 the only place you ever saw a computer was on Star Trek!
Yeah I'm old now :(
Gert, what's that tool at 10:02 for wire stripping and connecting?
I've tried googling, but I'm getting nowhere.
Thanks
That’s a wirewrap tool, found it on amazon.
Hey Gert I love the videos, I’ve just started Necromunda and terrain for it. When you use plaster mesh, how does it hold up over time? Does it support the models ok when they are on top of a section like the one with the pipes below?
Hi, thanks for watching!
It’s pretty strong but I wouldn’t recommend heavy models or doing big open plains of the stuff unsupported.
@@DarkMatterWorkshop sweet thanks for the reply Gert.
@@AndyJohnson3leftturns anytime 😉
mind = blown. I may have kept some of the wires unpainted. cool LED tutorial next?
Thanks ! Check out terraintronics for more in detail LED stuff.
@@DarkMatterWorkshop Thanks for the additional shoutout Gert! :)
Where do I find the container tat you use to make the tile as? Thanks.
That*
Found it in a hardware store.
Awesome I am glad you understood my comment. Haha. Thanks
