Clearly most of the people reacting here don't know about this amazing sax player. His name is Clarence Clemons and he was part of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. And in fact you clearly don't know this man died two weeks after this performance. This was his last performance and Gaga just wanted him to have a good and positive last performance on national tv, only because of these people who don't know about this, they just spread hate.

For those that have nothing nice to say about Clarence's sax playing during this performance.
Quote from Bruce Springsteen's autobiography, Born to Run.
Shortly after this performance Bruce asked Clarence how he is doing, Clarence told Bruce "he had numbness in his hand that was inhibiting his sax playing and making him very nervous".
Clarence died a few weeks after this performance, making it his last performance.
I was 11 at the time and heartbroken when I found out that the Big Man had passed away.
    R.I.P. Big Man ❤🎷.
