    I thank you for your total step by step clear, consice instructions. I don't think anyone else told me to load the paint in one direction. So many tutorials are of the 'look what I can do! ' variety. They just want to show off, forgetting that they are supposed to be teaching something. You however, are a very good teacher. You kept your focus . Thanks so much! I think I can incorporate this into a piece I'm trying to finish. I'll let you know if it turns out well. New subscriber!

    Nicely done and tips you gave were great. The camera needed to tilt down a bit since some of colors

      If it's acrylic, I bet you could paint over it and enhance it. Oil too but that needs scraping off. If you really needed to you could fix it. Best of luck, cuz we all know how it feels when something turns out less than.

    Thank you so much for showing this technique.
    I'm re- painting a watercolor picture which has trees and bushes in the background with acrylic paint. I can use any advice I can get.
    Edit it's been tough because the bushes are different shades of green.

      This technique will also work with other paints, but it won't quite look the same. This is really best used with oil paints and a one inch brush. But do give it a try. You may have some surprisingly good results.

    Yovette, I love your techniques! Love your bushes! Such pretty greens! I just gotta keep practicing. I still can't paint wet on wet. It comes out a blob . Is it all practice with this too?

    So I have a piece am currently working on and discovered I can't get the painterly bush close to the foreground. Honestly, I needed to see this video and just realized I have been using the wrong brush .

      I think we have all been there Chinornor! Sometimes it is as simple as using the right brush. Other times it is learning the right technique. Hope this video helped you. 🌺

      @@PaintingWithYovette yea, I understand you pretty well. I paint and grasses like these ain't a challenge to me, but all of a sudden, I realized am not getting what I want. It's not appearing like a Bush because of the approach used, may be. I saw this video and I think it will solve my challenge.

      The brushes I am using Peggy are the Bob Ross brushes, and the bushes are made with the 1" landscape brush. You can get them at the Bob Ross company online, and I believe Amazon and all the big box art stores carry that brand.

    Ok. I hear you mention Bunny brush in every video. I tried to find an explanation online. Nothing except in pet department. HELP 😮

      Oh dear, It's just another common name for a blending brush or a hake brush, made of very soft goat hair. It feels like the softness of a makeup brush you would use on your cheeks to apply color. They come in many different sizes. Amazon carries them. Just type in Hake brush. So sorry for the confusion. 🌹

      @@irenemorrison2728 If you are using regular oils Irene, you may want to use odolress thinner. I use water mixable oils and I clean them with soap and water. If I use acrylics, I still use soap and water. Thank you for that question. 🌺

      I was using Bob Ross oils but just ordered WMO brushes, linseed and paints bc I don’t like the smell of that odorless thinner etc. I’m still new to this…took a few BR classes at Hobby Lobby and paint w my 11 yr old granddaughter (another reason to switch away from the poisons…so can’t wait to get started once everything arrives. I ordered a mottler brush. We shall see what that does … but bunny brush is on my wish list now :-)

      @@irenemorrison2728 Congratulation for switching to water mixable oils Irene! I hope you will love them as much as I do. I have another video coming out tomorrow using them. All my new videos are WMO. Also wonderful that you are painting with your granddaughter! It is a learning curve when you change mediums, but these paints are wonderful.
