I love your story in Hawaii, I stayed there for 13 years and reminds me a lot of memories and the beautiful scenery . Now I'm here in Oregon. Enjoying your videos. God bless you more Yovette.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Hawaii is an amazing place, and I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Hawaii is a very special place in my heart. I would love to be there for 13 years. Where in Oregon are you? I am in Grants Pass.
Great Painting. Always love your videos. Glad you out from under the watchful eye of your predecessors. You stand on your own merit as artist & creator. IMO!
Hi Yovette wow this painting really grabbed my attention to the very end so much that I didn't want it to end but my word it looks absolutely beautiful, sometimes a painting really moves me and this one did just that . I don't know how your going to top this one but I'm really looking forward to seeing you try so until next time take care and stay safe.
I'm so happy you liked the waterfall Clive. I thouht it came out really well. Already thinking about what I might do for my December 1st painting. Maybe something cold for winter time. However, don't know if it will top this one either! Wish me luck. Till then, I will be updating and reposting my older videos. Hugs
this is a beautiful painting YOVETTE I am looking forward to giving it a go ,and with mist because it's pretty, looking forward to your next painting ,until then take care keep safe .
@@PaintingWithYovette YOVETTE I say that about every painting I do, I thought it was just me ! Your paintings are great and your clear instructions are such a help to a beginner , looking forward to your next tutorial ,hope its a snow scene that would be lovely for Xmas gifts 🎅☃️🎄 take care keep safe .
@@PaintingWithYovette its that time of year isn't it? No matter where we live we think of snow. Ice ,Xmas trees ,snow topped mountains, and even in the hot summer months its great to see a painting with all those details ,if helps cool us down 😁 whatever you decide to paint for us YOVETTE it's going to be brilliant 👏

I love your painting, Yovette ! And it's interesting that you used water mixable oils. My wife has trouble with solvents, I was cleaning her oil paint brushes for her in another room and set aside to dry ( she has asthma). So we have since gotten in Windsor Newton Artisan water mixable oil paints for her. We are still filling out the random colors but she has what she needs to get going on her own now. She only has painted swatches of her water mixable colors but has a couple of ideas for her first tries into the water mixable world. She had no trouble or reaction in cleanup. A lot of people don't realize that oil paints themselves, for the most part, are non toxic, as you mentioned Yovette.. But even some of the odorless solvents can be. I use Odorless Turpenoid for cleaning my oil paint brushes etc., basically with that, there is 0 odor. But even so there is evaporating non odor fumes in the air near the cleanup area. I personally mostly use Gamblin oil paints. I do use some Van gogh and Winton series WN.. These are Linseed oil based, with some Van gogh having safflower oil base.. Artisan is Linseed oil as well but the oil has an emulsifier so it mixes with soap and water for cleanup ( and it cleans up very easy in soap and water). However, these are not made to be thinned with water but rather to use medium for thinning. Just felt like sharing, thanks for the Vid and keep em coming !!
I am so happy your wife will be able to use water mixable oils and I really hope she loves them. I know I do. I use other paint now too, but still clean everything with soap and water. My lungs can not handle chemicals, not even household cleaners. So I stick to non toxic everything I can find. It will take her a little time getting used to WMO, but should happen pretty quickly. Just treat the WMO like any other oil paint. It is only the cleaning that is different. Her lungs will be so happy. Thank you for sharing that David. Let me know later how she is liking then.
its a nice minimalistic painting :) the only thing that threw me off were the birds coming from the stones on the left :D heres a video idea: how to paint detailed rocks and stones - i feel like there arent that many good videos on youtube for that specifically
Thanks for the tip Dedgy! I have no idea why I put those birds in there! LOL. But I can easily remove them! Rocks are a good idea. I will have to study up on those before making a tutorial. Some rocks easy, some not so much. Thank you. 🤣
@@PaintingWithYovette I mean, to be completely fair with you, I really really love the rocks and stones you have on your painting with the center rainbow and stream - if you can show us how you do those and make them blend so well with the landscape, it would be awesome
@@Dedgyblazer Oh gosh, I think that may be one of my paintings that I never did a tutorial on. It is acrylic not oil, but it would be a good idea for a tutorial, and quite a challenge. It took a long time to do that painting, but I love it. I see my hubby and my family who is no longer with me up in those clouds.
The medium I am using Pay, is Water Mixable Oil. It is oil paint that has been manufactured in a way that you are able to use it with soap and water for cleaning instead of chemicals. I really love it. 🌹
