    You said to divide the finished width by 2 and add the seam allowance. I'm guessing you meant multiply by 2? So if I want a 3/4" finished width strap, I would start with 1 1/2" strips plus 1/2" for seam allowances, so 2" total, correct?

      Any really, but it depends on the fabric you’re using and function.
