I used a Bullworker when I first started ITF Tae Kwon Do back in the day. Today my resistance training workouts consist of TG Encompass, Free Weights, and Sandbag workouts, but, there is just so much this 66-year-old man can do. Oh, I forgot! I found a great "Ho-Am Tae Kwon-Do" school near me, so, I'm doing that too. After 39 years of being away, I am back to formal Tae Kwon-Do training and it feels wonderful. 203 lbs, just 13 pounds to reach my goal weight of 190 lbs.
Love your contact! I have an extra bar as well as a total gym. Would love to see you put some sort of program together that incorporates both. Honestly something I’d shell out a few bucks for if it were detailed enough.
Ever since I got the GTS I was interested in the X3. I joined the X3 users group on FB and had been lurking for a few months. I pulled the trigger on it last week and it was one of the best workouts in terms of how quick it was to get pumped and how short it was about 10-15 min for push/pull day. The intensity is excellent as I hardly sweat working out using weights before and GTS but with the X3 it got me sweating in minutes especially doing partial reps after full reps until failure. It's very efficient. I am following the 12 week program exclusively as recommended so I'm not using the GTS. Instead I let a friend use it to get him started in working out again.
@@josephshatrowsky Right, it does all the major workouts and some have added variations and adding other tools to it but for new users it is highly stressed to just follow the program to use it properly at least 12 weeks before doing anything extra for best experience/results. If only they have the travel case in stock... it is addicting so I like to take it with me.
Thank you brother. I'd love to, let me know what kind of stuff you want to see with it. Just used it at the end of my leg workout. Little jealous as I'd love to try that black beast. That may be on my wish list in the future, but do I need 2 Isokinators!?
@@hybridresistance I'm always wondering whether the leg exercises are any good. And it does seem hard to target the hamstrings ... I bought an Isokinator and X3 since watching your channel, you're going to bankrupt me!;)
@@hybridresistance to come back to you on this, I received the beast and trained a couple of times with it. Genuinely surprised of how hard this is!! My shoulders are sore as hell. Main negative for me is that you can't track the two balls with some exercises because you simply can't see them. How has your experience been in the meantime?
@@sanderderycke801 Most definitely. This thing is usually the icing on the cake at the end of my upper body workouts. This one exercise where are you move your arms up and down slowly working your lats and shoulders gets increasingly hard as the reps and sets progress. I know what you mean about not being able to see the tracking balls. I either emailed them about this question and or I saw the explanation in the manual, but essentially they say something to the effect of you’ll get used to knowing where the tension is supposed to be. Not sure I really like that answer but I can kind of understand what they’re getting it from spending some time using it.
hmm.. Using the longer X3 bar I see. I sure wish they would have given us the choice when buying the X3 system. I avoid some exercises because of the smaller bar. Love your approach to the combined methodologies.
Appreciate it brother. I can see how some people may need / want the longer bar. I mentioned it in my review for the long bar, but I do feet these setups work best with a narrow bar / footplate, but certainly could just be my personal dimension preference. Here's a link to that long bar vid if you haven't seen it ruclips.net/video/wTInLoWDyLU/видео.html
I did see that, but I actually prefer the shorter bar / footplate with these set ups. I do like the longer bar though for chest presses and optional versatility though. I also like wider plate baseplate use for isometrics. I'd have to see it up close, but would be hard to beat how awesome the x3 bar feels / looks.
Now that you've spent some time with the GTS would you recommend it to someone else over the fit ? What are the advantages or disadvantages of any comparing the two machines
@@hybridresistance I got my MAX Fit for a great deal and I'm still learning what all can be done with it. I come from 20 plus years of weight training, probably not too far from your build. I was skeptical for years because I used to have an earlier model from the early 2000's and I didn't feel like it challenged me enough...even now getting a hard workout out of my legs and back takes forever. So I'm curious if the GTS would be something to look at for my needs.
Hey Mike, what model is that new fancy total gym? Haven't seen you use that before. How much is that bad boy? Any advantage over the FIT?? Thanks man.😊
Yep....didn't realize before I commented. Just watched it. Looks really nice. fyi...I occasionally put the FIT on top of a metal, cross fit style plyo jump stand. It's pretty stable, and gains a lot of resistance. I've learned to mess around, and workout without limits like I used to. Thanks for all you do.
Doing iso on the bands on last rep I breath like I'm sprinting and it becomes like some hiit cardio. I don't think holding your breath does your body any good on those isos 👍👍
So are getting a Financial Kickback from these Companies you're Advertising for??? A lot of your recent Videos seem more like an Infomercial than an Educational Tool.
I'm an affiliate for these companies, but essentially every company has an affiliate program. I'm sorry you feel that way brother, I think may have said this a recent video, the main videos/topics I get asked to do are product reviews and "what I'm doing/using for workouts". I have a literal backlog of emails with people asking me to review products. Also, an aside based my analytics, my viewers predominantly are watching home fitness product reviews. Compared to these channels, but reviews are light. Every product I do feature and review generally is exposed to me from a viewer and is one that I'm interested. This video in particular is all about me sharing what I'm doing that's working and the products I'm using.

Can't beat martial arts mixed with a Total Gym. Pretty much go hand in hand. Great to see in the comment section again Doug.

👍good stuff
Great stuff.
Mike In my opinion you should create and start a separate Board and Band Channel. Run two channels just my two cents
That has crossed my mind for sure.

The x3 doesn't do everything but I can't see myself without it for a lot of exercises. Its also fun and easy. Can't stop using it.
