Thanks for the pep talk I didn’t know I needed.

Thank you Greg. I’m right there in the middle of change trying to figure it out. My mother called me out the other day for my self deprecation jokes about my butt. Apparently my big fat butt jokes aren’t landing well now that I’ve lost 55lbs. I need to change how I see myself in a smaller body.

You are so right! It’s hard to see yourself any other way. Every single day I have to remind myself that I am not the same anymore. I used to call myself fat in front of people or if people would give me a complement, I would point out 5 other flaws as if I wasn’t deserving of a complement. It took years to get over that. I don’t want that for you! Accept the complements and more importantly, start giving them to yourself every damn day. It’s the only way to get rid of the years of negative self talk we inflicted on ourselves and things others said to us. I know you’ve got this!

    Hi hi!
I am no where near reaching my weight loss goal since I'm still starting out/figuring stuff out but I still think that this is an incredibly helpful video. I learned a lot from watching it! 😁

That’s great! I’m so happy that you got something from it. Sometimes I make these videos and only hope people get something out of them. But I’ll still make them because I was that person looking for someone to believe in them because I didn’t believe in myself. Figuring stuff out is all a part of getting towards your goal. The first steps are the ones that are actually the hardest, but once you do it, you start getting confidence and then that will help push you more and more. I’m so glad you are starting your journey and am here if you ever have a question or just need support or to vent!
