I've used RainX Anti-fog on the inside of both front, rear, side windows and my bathroom mirror (duh!) first I used HQ glass cleaner, lint free cloths or handy-towels to apply window cleaner, and then applied RainX Anti-Fog to the glass, lasted me for 60+ days. Be careful not to get in onto leather or vinyl, may cause discolouring/damage!
If you want ur windows to be crystal clear, you need to wait until the anti fog is dry, then use a dry paper towel or newspaper and go over it again ... you may think you're not wrong anything, but it's SEALING it into the glass, so you don't have that misty look.
Just done a similar comparison and it has worked well for me. I applied the Anti-Fog after getting home from being out at the shops and on the way back I used the windscreen demister to make sure the screen was nice and dry before applying it. Really pleased with the results.
Works okay but, you might have to apply it multiple times and it might looks a little blurry when you first get in on a cold morning (try not to wipe it as that's the product working and it will clear quickly if you leave it)
Why does everyone comment saying its bad? If this is the case how has Rain X been selling this and there other shit for decades? HOW are they still in business?
Its not perfect, like the moisture still condensates and exists in the cab. What it does is stop it fogging over and if it doesn't, give it another coat as it suggests
@@Dan_AYP does it get streaky over time? Like sure no fog but enjoy streaks? I have that problem with the original rain x water repellent where like after a weak the windshield gets streaky
The old method that worked for keeping the inside of a SCUBA mask from misting up was to rub a cut potato around the inside of the glass. I wonder if it would scale up to a windscreen 🙂
The Rain X anti fog made it even worse for me. Same thing with the Aquapel version too. Best not to apply anything to them and leave as is. Seemed like it attracted moisture to the inside of the windows
This is your second video on this, I’ve literally rinsed a complete bottle of this and I even listened to your advice of having the blowers on, didn’t even work for me mate😂
Try cleaning the vents with some AC cleaner. I use Sonax antibacterial. Then put in a new cabin air filter. Also don't use any dust removers on the dash as it keeps evaporating and fogging your windows up.
I just bought a bottle of the spray because my windows and windshield were fogging up, I applied it to every window and then cranked up the heat and there's no more fogging so at least I know it initially works, for how long is the question.
I used this but i cant determine if it made any difference i still have to use de misters like i used to before and smells for fee days. But the rainx repellant is extremely good.
Enjoyed this informative video! Would be great to see you do another 'car RUclipsr news' video again. Would love to hear your thoughts as a youtuber, with what has been going on between LLF and DMO haha
@Ryuichi Tanaka Ricky lied to DMO in that 53 minute video of what car he was going to bring when he went to meet DMO at night for that street race, let alone that the fact that LLF threw the first punch at vmax. But It DMO also lied to his viewers about 'the guy in the grey' - I have a video I made which shows video proof of that.
Most real prescription glasses will have some sort of coating, and all good camere lenses will have that too. Is be very careful with applying anything to those. With cheap glasses, go for it. It'll probably work fine. Same if you have a UV-filter permanently attached to your camera lens, probably.
Hi, I’m intending to apply this to my windscreen. I’m also intending to apply the rain x water repellent. The water repellent application is on the outside of the windscreen. Would it cause any problem if I add the anti fog inside and the water repellent outside?
Do half the windshield in outrageously overpriced Rain-X and the other half with super cheap Purell hand sanitizer (non moisturizer) and see if you get the same exact level of product performance.
I've got some anti-glare glass cleaner. Would it be ok to use this to clean the window prior to applying the rain X. Or would I have to use a normal cleaner which isn't anti-glare/reflective. Thanks
Let me know if this helped you solve this common autumn and winter problem 😁
Reply please

@@millzinc3 about 3 to 5 weeks.
I did this and it made no improvement with the misting

It sucks, it continuously leaves a smear on my windows. No matter what I used to wipe it off, it still leaves the smear.
I’ve been using this stuff on my glasses because they fog up really bad when I’m wearing a mask and it works great 👌
How long does it last on glasses?
@@andreaswarberg3996 It worked for a few days, but I noticed it started to work less and less the longer that I used it. 😞

little tip . if this fog stuff works , dont has sex in the back of the car every will see in lol
Why doesn't anyone in these antifog videos show how HARD it is to wipe it off? Skipping that part huh?
