My man even wiped the control side hahah, great video
After all...hes doing it on his car....might aswell clean everywhere.
People say that having no ac is bad in the heat cause its hot, they dont how bad it really gets when it rains and gets foggy
Having to get splashed by the rain with the windows down smh…
Ur not wrong
@carterst.lawrence2338 had an 86 trans am with ac delete system. Not fun
bought rain-x, was worthless, good for 2-3 days max, gonna do colgate
Just for curiosity should've added a 5th one that combines all 3 solutions.
Haha.. What an idea!
Great video ! Your testing method seems pretty effective. I'm curious if you followed the exact directions provided by the Rain-X Anti Fog spray. Sometimes products like this can be very specific and recommend multiple coats... but toothpaste is probably cheaper.
You're correct! I did not follow the exact directions listed by the Ran-X Anti Fog spray. This video was meant to give you the alternatives using items readily available in most homes. Let me tell ya, toothpaste is an amazing stuff!
Did the car smell like toothpaste though?
@@edwardrodriguez4159 Oh, 100%
liquid soap is also very very effective, put in a very small area of the towel then wipe it, thank me later
Great video Buddy!
Yeahhh I'm definitely getting the spray.😂
What if the fog is setting from outside the glass
Not just good for your teeth! Also, be careful with the toothpaste. If it's abrasive, it could damage your glass, especially if you have tinted windows. Apply it somewhat gently if you can. There, you've been warned.
Excellent point!
I don't see how it is abrasive. Toothpaste has nothing that makes it abrasive. Unless you get some with baking soda. But what do I know, I'll ask my dentist in a couple of weeks when I go see her. Take care!
There are some sandy toothpaste
@@BikerGirlTraveler Or just goole "does toothpaste contain abrasive cleaning particles" Answer ; YES it does. Dont use it on your windshield.
Thanks to Colgate,i can afford and available at home 😆
If anyone are willing to try alternative, I suggest to use WD-40 specificalist fast drying contact cleaner( for circuit board and switches). I find that the result was quit satisfied, no thin fog film form on interior windscreen , which other anti-fog product did.😂
The WD40 evaporates quickly once you spray it and form a temporary protective “steam” layer for hours. Thus, it forced moisture to vaporise.
The product is also a degrease cleaner. Hit one bird with two stone.😮
I usually spray it when I am ready to go.😊
Does ordinary WD-40 work?
@@Svaraijtdont even think about doing it.
I just saved myself a hundred and fifty bucks.
Duhhhhh tootpayyyyyyy!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
won't toothpaste scratch the glass surface?
Just like it would to your teeth... "Rub it gently" :)
Do we apply on the inside or outside of the windshield ?
yes
Exactly !!
Editing is 🤣
How did you remove the toothpaste? Wet tissue or just wipe it dry
My question exactly
I've used Dawn dish soap on my ring cameras I wipe it on let it dry then wipe it off till it's clear... it works great.
A ChrisFix videos with different person doing it lol
Basically we scuba divers also use toothpaste as an antifog treatment for our Scuba Goggles
SHAVING G E L ...not SHAVING CREAM .
Nice test! But that was on glass. I wonder how it would do on plastic. Specifically a motorcycle helmet visor. I know that you can't use Rain-X on plastic as it damages the plastic. If I remember correctly, Fog-X is the same. The anto fog products for motorcycles are not as effective as Fog and Rain X. I used to use both not knowing that you are not suppose to. It says it right on the bottle of Rain-X. Dhaaa! I don't see toothpaste hurting the visor soI might try it.
Did you determine that it's effective? The toothpaste/shaving cream
Just Colgate? Will Crest work to prevent "Titanic" handprints? 🤔
did all the windows in the deer blind with Colegate toothpaste and made no difference but the glass smells nicer
Hahaha hopefully they don’t wind ya!
It will work from outside...?
the toothpaste is prob the best alternative but i dont want my swim goggles smelling like mint😣and ive tried to look for non flavored but have never found any unfortunately
Great Video! Thank You!
Toothpaste has abrasive compound. Dont use it on your windshield. ;)
Window tints are applied to the inside of a window, how does this affect a car's window tinting?
Thank you for this.
Shaving foam is better. Toothpaste is abrasive.
Nice!
Ant has frog eyes
Do you think this would work inside part of headlight lense?
you have a broken seal somewhere if that is happening. you need to take it apart, dry it good, put it back together after identifying the break.
And some headlight lenses are plastic, so don't even attempt using the products designed for glass because they might completely ruin the plastic.
Wow. Try it with a potato
Does any fluoride-based toothpaste do the same?
What about on prescription glasses?
Wow surprising
Thank you
toothpeyt... 😂
Wow
I wonder if it's a safe method using toothpaste on a window that has tint on it
Tinted windows are not safe for any other products to use on except the approved cleaning products.
@@mrmightytiger7385 what are the best product for tint?
@@flashbread7529 For cleaning, I'd use distilled water and nothing else. It'll do the job safely.
@@mrmightytiger7385 what are the other alternative ways to prevent frm foging wthout compromising the safety of the tint?
@@flashbread7529 Not sure what a "wag" is...
Uh turn on the defroster. Duh.
You think if people had a defroster they would look this up 😂 gotta use your brain a little
Is that just plain white colgate toothpaste?
Yes it is. What can clean your teeth can clean your glass :)
Nice. How long did you let the toothpaste sit before wiping it off?
Let it dry for few minutes.. It also do amazing results in cleaning your car, bike, paint, headlight, or other tans
I think that toothpaste makes small scratches, I use toothpaste to polish coins
You're probably correct, but I'd need a microscope to see them. I just did a quick search: tooth enamel hardness is about 5 on a 1-10 scale. Glass hardness ranges 4-7 on a 1-10 scale. On average people brush twice a day... I'm not planning to polish my windshield that often :)
Not safe for eyeglasses.
What do u recommend for eyesglasses? i practice airsoft and i need an anti-fog :(
@@chicocrazy220691 Rain-X anti-fog.
How much time it protect from fog the 3 products?
I have not done a usability test.
Toothpaste not good if you have tint
Toothpaste has an abrasive in it DONT USE !!!
Very stupid idea. Can prove dangerous as well.
Toothpaste contain abrasive agents and it will micro scratch the glass. After a few applications the scratches will affect visibility.
The commercial, made for purpose anti fog spray has the active agent but is free from the abrasive.
