think about restaurants and how they have food containers sitting open all day as they take from it to serve guests. all day, peoples skin and hair cells, dust, randomness of all sorts are getting into that food. we eat so much contamination lol. but in some ways it's good for us. in some ways... it can be very bad.

I am 68 years old and have had misophonia my entire life. It has been a very difficult journey. My family always made fun of me and told me that I had bad nerves. It wasn't until a husband and wife doing research put a name to this condition. I feel vindicated because some family members thought that I was just plain "crazy" and I know that I am not. Knowing that misophonia is a real condition has given me a great sense of relief.

Assuming he was lactose intolerant, I asked my coworker if he had ever tried any of the medications designed to mitigate lactose intolerance. It's very common but not a lot of people know about it. Mine has been a more severe form. It's not as bad anymore but when I was younger I found my younger brother extremely annoying. He would always chew so annoyingly and it seemed like it only bothered me. People talking loudly for me is part of it. My brother would talk so loud and high pitched and it made my skin crawl. I could never pay attention in school because the sounds of keyboards made me so horribly uncomfortable I wanted to scream. When people talk loudly I can't concentrate at all. This plus a lot of other annoying sounds. Edit: I say more severe because it affected my daily life.

They may have just thought that they were getting a cheaper price, or maybe a friend or family member recommended it and they didn’t think anything bad could happen Since their friend or family member had a great time, or maybe they are seeking a procedure that isn’t legal or available in their country, etc. I can’t imagine genuinely thinking that people would willingly knowingly have these materials put into their bodies. Interesting about what you said about being lactose intolerant. I really think it's the way the food and even milk has been treated. When did you become lactose intolerant? I think that's when they change the process. Little story: I worked with a girl who is 'lactose intolerant' in the UK (also I can't drink the milk in the UK). She went to Switzerland, and later South Korea. She loves milk so she wanted to taste it She had no problems at all. Returned to UK and couldn't drink the milk again. I believe it's how some farms process their milk, and make their cheeses.
Even just by feeding the cows. In Australia, making cappuccinos we could froth the milk and make a huge head on the cup. (Mind you, I don't see that being done anymore, anywhere.) However in winter time it was virually impossible to create that. That was because the farmers would feed the cows hay through winter, thus changing the composition of the milk, making it impossible to froth up!
It's these experiences that makes me believe its what we're doing to our food that is causing us problems.

To me it’s sounds which neededn’t be made. Like noisy eating. Or clicking when you talk (the movement of the tongue in the mouth of some people seems to make a click).
Mind you, I can’t stand loud noises either.
Regarding the eating thing, it’s astonishing how many people are noisy eaters. I don’t know why their significant others don’t tell them, since their parents failed to do so.

Since I remember it makes me extremely mad and anxious every time people make some kind of noises, I thought that everyone was feeling the same way and they didn’t complain just like me until about 10 years ago when I watched Dr. Phil and he was describing my symptoms, Now I know I have a condition/disorder and I don’t mind to tell people to close their mouth or just leave the room when the noises are occurring.

I have misophonia. It is much more than just getting annoyed by certain sounds. It activates the fight-or-flight response, resulting feelings of anxiety, rage, and panic. It literally feels like you’re being assaulted; a chainsaw directly to the brain. A lot of sufferers, me included, also have misokinesia, where the same feelings are activated through visual triggers. Misophonia is extremely painful, anxiety and depression-inducing, and isolating.

    Two questions relating to implants.
    1. If the implant is filled with mold or even, let’s say, sewage water, how much does that matter? How protective and sealed is the implant’s outer layer?
    2. If the outer lining is not protective, and you fill the implant with sterile saline, how can you be assured the saline is uncontaminated? (During the covid pandemic I saw some videos showing how some of the masks were produced - in factories with absolutely unsanitary and horrid conditions 🤢)

    • @dianec66
      @dianec66 9 дней назад

1- It matters a lot. While the implant skin is very, very durable, it’s not impenetrable. If the implant were to rupture, could you imagine how bad it would be if the contents weren’t sterile?
2- Go to a reputable plastic surgeon. Do your research, don’t just take someone else’s word for it. I did a ton of research before I got mine. Looked up if they had any disciplinary actions. what the actions were, what their certifications are, what medical organizations they belong to, their education and training and where they did it, what fellowships they have, if they’re insured, pretty much anything I could find on them. Each state has the ability to look up licensed individuals through state websites (make sure it’s the state’s .gov website). I even went so far as to look a doctor up in any other states they went to school or worked in and where they were licensed. Good doctors don’t cut corners or try to be shady and cheap (that’s how you end up with contaminated medical products).

I have really bad misophonia. One of my worst triggers is screaming. I have a full mental breakdown when someone screams near me. That's why I have headphones in at all times. Even when I'm not playing any music and can hear people speak, it muffles it enough for me to handle screams. Same thing with open-mouth chewing. It makes me angry. So I wear headphones and just listen to music :3 there are currenly no treatments for misophonia so you gotta come up with your own solutions.

my misophonia is mostly with wet noises. i can't handle especially wet mouth noises. gentle water trickling noises like moving your hand through water gets me, but the absolute worst is a dog drinking water, 10x worse if its out of the toilet because it has that " ew someone just sh*t in that and flushed 2 seconds ago " disgust factor.
step dad doesn't close the door outside my room when he uses it in the morning and i had to train their dogs to be too scared of scratching noises on my wall/door to come in and drink from the toilet when he's in there. grosses me out he lets them WHILE ITS FLUSHING or immediately after he thinks its " funny " ... definitely worse than Styrofoam lmao also dry carboard or news paper, that's like a combination of sound and touch tho but they're all awful. feels like my spine is gonna yeet itself out the nearest window xD

I have misophonia and when I was young, I hated hearing my parents chewing, especially my Mom who had dentures. I'd cry, get angry at them, ask to be excused from the table, I just couldn't take it. When I was 16, I dated a guy named Randy. We went to the movies one evening and I bought a package of twizzlers. As I was eating, he asked me "taste good?" I was about to say yes, then he blurted out "sounds good!" I didn't know whether to be mortified or angry because I had no clue if he was joking. I then asked everyone I knew to listen to me eat and tell me if I make noises. Whew, they all said no, I was a quiet and polite eater. I still have misophonia but I do watch a Korean mukbanger and the noise she makes eating is minimal, so I think that's why I can watch her. I stopped dating someone because he smacked his lips, chewed loudly and sometimes ate with his mouth open. I couldn't handle it. He was such a nice guy too. I've spent 64 years dealing with this and only a handful of people are aware of it. Until now 😂

I spent a year when I was 16 totally unable to be in the same room as other people eating. I would take my food and eat in my bedroom. It wreaked havoc in my house. It never goes away I am now 59 and will still leave a room to avoid it. Nose whistling when people breathe is another trigger or teeth clacking when people talk. And don't get me started on cutlery against crockery omg. It's such a weird thing lol.
