Quick Information: The "Licensing" thing is not something we make money with, we actually call it "Certification". Its totally free for ANY manufacturer. It was just a way to try to somehow control the quality of the products that are being manufactured by the many different manufacturers that market and target for DMD2. We are also making sure the integration is perfect and is not going to be broken on the next update. We just dont want the hardware to ruin the experience for the users. If you are doing hardware just for you, at home, we even added instructions on how to implement (for example controllers). Devices with "DMD2 Edition" are not exactly "Licensed", it simply means that devices sold by Thork Racing obviously include DMD2 Lifetime License, only the devices we sell include DMD2 Lifetime pre-installed, we are not licensing DMD2 to any device (phone or tablet) at the moment, not only its a nightmare to manage but its not like there are many manufacturers asking for it. We rather certify the devices and if they want to offer DMD2 they can get licenses at reseller price. Products where the name start with DMD, like the DMD-T865 and DMD-T665 are devices made for us, under our guidance and requests, and because we like the result we are putting our brand on it. We will be adding controllers and even one OBD2 dongle, and all this will be made by the same manufacturers already available in the market and that we already resell. The reason why we are not locking anything in our software and opening it up to everyone, even helping them develop products and code, and even inviting them to make our products, is because we believe that in the long run this will bring us more users and create a bigger market with more exciting products. Also our community was very clear and verbal about this, this is what our users want.
@THORKRACING - North American resident here (Canada). Your devices are priced too high when comparing to market leaders here such as Garmin Zumo XT/XT2 (newly released). I just recently purchased the XT2 after considering your (Thorx) products and it was priced out when I looked at what benefits I would gain. I love reviewing products and consider myself a techie but you may find it difficult to penetrate this market with those prices.
@THORKRACING please provide more specs on your new devices like weights (device, holder), gnss update rates etc. stuff you like to know when dealing with an expensive high end device 🙏.
@@OneManTrail I was actually hoping to see @NomadSweded do a review on it too.Considering all the navigation, drone use and general computing done by riders today, I'd say it ticks all the boxes. Excellent device that one.
Hello, a friend of mine bought the big Carpe Iter last year. On the first tour to Croatia the software kept crashing. Thork was also unable to repair the device via the Internet. Thork took the device back after the tour without hesitation. As nice as the theoretical advantages of the system are, I much prefer a Samsung smartphone, because the Software is more stable. I like your videos a lot, please keep it up, best regards, Malte
I would never buy such an expensive device without knowing I can handly all warranty issues locally with my own language. Active Tab 3 with Brodit/RAM cradle was was good on 890 R, but when I put it to EXC500 it lasted 2000km of heavy vibrations from single cylinder in offroad condition and then it was toasted. Some components loosened on circuit board and it was lenghty discussion with Samsung service to make them believe that device has problem. I hope Thork comesup with some longterm proof that devices can withstand offroad usage and charging works on single cylinder bike without pogopins drilling themselves into contact pads...
I just received my Carpe Iter pad a few days ago. I’m looking forward to using it when it will be mounted on my motorbike. For the time being I’m playing around with it and it seems very promising. Of course a live session with questions and your input would be nice. Cheers!
That's a big 'YES' to a tutorial video, please. I'm just a recreational rider doing relatively short journeys, no ADV trips etc, but I am finding these developments fascinating 😊 I'm also not very techy. I think I've grasped what DMD2 is, but to get the best from it I guess you have to use an OBD dongle, yes? How will you manage that on rented bikes in Tanzania? I'm starting to believe that if I'm going to spend reasonable money on a bike tolerant satnav (Garmin, TomTom, etc) then for a little bit more it can be a multi-functional device like one of these. I hope that with this pace of development the tablet device you buy today can be updated tomorrow. Bring on that tutorial 😁
Thanks. The tutorial was yesterday so feel free to watch the recording 😊 Actually I rarely use the obd dongle since i have most info on my bike display anyway. So on the rental I will not have it either
I have one of these, and I got a lemon. It broke down twice and randomly reprogrammed itself once on the trails. So, do I rate the Carpe Iter? Yes. I got a bad one, it was repaired once, when it played up again, well out of warranty it was replaced with a brand new device, which has worked perfectly. If you are really bad at tech, then maybe go with Garmin but if you can work an Android phone, you'll be all good.
Sansung Galaxy phone + Locus maps for off-road, Garmin Zumo XT for general travel and gpx track double control in off-road. Works well for me even at +35 C
I do everything on one Android phone.... All free! Google maps for road trips. Free apps like Locusmaps for TET and trail riding. I used a cheap generic universal phone clamp. Works on 3 continents so far.
Great video, all that is missing is a good tutorial on how to use the app. The ideal would be how to prepare a route for your navigation system, the management and transfer of files. In short, more or less what you propose in the video. Thank you for your work, at home we are already waiting for that trip to Tanzania.
The choices become more exciting with DMD2 capable devices. Thank you for the insight. I will be in Tanzania about the time you’re in Country. Are other Moto Riders joining your Tanzania adventure? Please let me know.

Built my own cheap as chips navi solution with the help of your videos using an SEK350/GBP25 blackview rugged phone and dmd2. I totally love it apart from one thing - I can’t make turn by turn nav work in dmd2, so I’m stuck with osmand for now. That’s not a bad solution, but I do love the idea of one app for everything. You mention turn by turn in this video, which suggests it is possible somehow. Do I need the beta version, then? What’s the secret that unlocks the full potential here?
Well, DMD2 has turn by turn, but only if you make the route in DMD2 because it will use actual roads. Personally I most often use GPX files and they are not limited by roads but only GPS coordinates, which makes turn by turn impossible in some cases. Some apps allow conversion on tracks to routes for turn-by-turn but you must know it only uses the GPX for inspiration and alters the track to fit the roads. I like to use tracks like lines on a map and just follow it. To get the beta you go to Google Play where you downloaded DMD2 and click "Join beta program". It's a bit down if you scroll you will find it. It's great that you can use this in a cheap way as you did. 👍🏻
@NomadSweden @ThorkRacing As a long time Garmin user, I'm considering switching to the *DMD-T665 NAV PHONE* as I don't like the Garmin policy of the last few years at all. I have a few important questions: Can I also plan the routes on my MacBook like I do with Garmin Basecamp and only then transfer them to the DMD2 devices? Can I also save the planned routes on my computer in a database (with preview on a map)? As we are now on the road 90% of the time, we are very interested in turn-by-turn navigation. It should also be possible to drive on small winding roads / beautiful roads (such as those marked green by Michelin). What is the current status here? I am available for an exchange of ideas.👍🏻
To make tracks to the DMD2 on your computer you use any software you like, even Basecamp. I use stegra.io It has turn by turn with several routing modes. For exchanging ideas i suggest joining the drivemode dashboard community on Discord or Facebook.
You should try SilverFox B8J bluetooth controller. Made in Finland. Not plastic like others it is alloy! And your bike controls stays as close as they are original. Nice! It works nice with DMD2 now and with other Android apps. I have use it with DMD2 beta about 2000km now and also a bit with LocusMaps. SilverFox works with phone and with tablet if you want bigger screen. Nice buttons and joystick. I have Oikitel RT3 tablet on my CRF300 Rally. It is ok - just could be a bit brighter on sunny days. DMD2 maps are not yet so god as you can get on LocusMaps at Finland. Hope that in the future you can use same maps with DMD2. Thank you so much for all the DMD2 videos. AND OTHER VIDEOS TOO. I always look forward to your videos, they are very interesting and informative. I want to buy one of DMD2 products, but I'm not sure how, because I'm in Russia and there are some problems with delivery, considering all the restrictions. I don't support what my country authorities are doing, but alas restrictions apply to all Russians.
Hmm i am just looking for a NAV-System. I was about to buy the caper one but the 1 kg weight are really high. So i looked in to the DMD-T865 Nav Tab, but i cant find a lot of feedback on the net , how well this product is. Are you going to use the DMD-T865 Nav Tab for now ?
Please create a video showcasing the navigation functions onroad and offroad. The unpaid version of DMD2 has an annoying 15 minute limit overlay that prevents from seeing the whole screen.
Another thing to add would be running a tablet in split screen with Locus Maps on the left and DMD2 on right since Locus has better on road routing. DMD2 would show ODB2 info or weather radar. Assuming DMD2 will run in split screen.
Hey Robert! Can you advise re controllers? Struggling to find the information I need. (Ideally I’d like something that can be easily moved from bike to bike, so) a battery operated Bluetooth controller would be great, but I guess I can live with the carpe adventure one. I’m not clear however whether that would work with other software like rally roadbook for scrolling and resetting odo, and things like osmand for things like zoom in/out and pan the map up/down/left/right. Do you know? You showed a ARN controller, would you recommend that? Thank you and cheers.
I am waiting for the DMD controller which is released soon. Its on their website aling with all controller that works 100% with DMD. Perhaps there is a battery driven one that can be moved
Hi thanks for your video… wondering if the DMD2 works well with the screen set in portrait. Are there restrictions on the number of tracks and POIs that can be loaded.
Very interesting. In fact, I'm right looking at the DMD-T865 to mount on my KTM 890 to replace the Zumo XT. My only concern right now is the screen brightness of 800 Nits vs the 1000 Nits of the Carpe Iter (which is not any more sold by Thork). Have you by now been able to check the brightness of your DMD-T865 under direct sunlight compared with the Carpe? By the way, very good point on the weight of the devices. Was not taking that into account. Thanks a lot.
@@NomadSweden Thank you very much for the quick answer. Will go then with the DMD-T865. Enjoy Tanzania very much. I'm looking forward to seeing the film when it's ready.
Is that what you got? Looking to put something on my Tiger 900 Rally Pro. Was thinking Samsung Active 3 with apps etc...then came across the DMD and Carpe Iter....not sure what to do. I think Samsung is less $$...@@AlexFBuchholzPhoto
Two things, first a live how to would be great. Second and I don't know you you or anyone other than Thork racing can comment on this but does the T865 have to be powered by the included holder? I have an expensive holder I bought when considering the Carpe itr but now I like the idea of the T865.
But actually dmd dont have a Turn by turn navigation? So its note usable when there is a construction Site or i will delete next waypoint. So when the route ist Not perfect from beginning dmd ist Not a good choice for me or?
Hi.. i have one question.. did you ever try handlebar risers? for example sw motech.. i have a feeling that my arms a little bit to short for my t7 :D.. i am 1,76 cm. all the best, christoph
Hi Robert, is it possible to use the sat nav phone on vertical position only with the map? Their website RUclips video has very little information about it.
CanBus connectivity with the DMD-T865, how is that solved? Do you have to go for the full kit "RAM® Quick-Grip Waterproof Wireless Charging Holder with CANsmart™ Connection" to have this?
So glad I found your channel!! Brilliant stuff. So if you were me today on a 2024 890 Adventure Rally currently using a Zumo XT what would you buy? The Carpe or the DMD-T865 Tablet?? Curious to get your take. Do a lot of .gpx files and BDR rides here in the USA. Thanks in advance!!
Than you and welcome :) I would go for the T865 because it's lighter, developed by the same team as the software and the support is responsive. The carpe only beats the T865 in screen brightness. The T865 could use some more brightness but it works.
One of the biggest problems I have with my phone compared to a old school tom tom is using it with gloves on or when the screen is wet. I would like to see some more info on that with these devices.
I am learning how to use DMD2 Beta with SilverFox and maybe I'll do some videos in finnish. DMD2 is getting better and beter all the time! I like to help others and do this just to help others not for money. Maybe I have time to make some how to use DMD2 and SilverFox videos this summer? I wonder why you took the T665 to the trip instead the Tripltek one, also I really wonder what differences they have. I’m ready to buy one of these devices but there’s no much info available: / Great video by the way !!
The triptek would be my choice on my own bike. But this time we rented small bikes and needed a quick installation with usb. The big difference beside size is brightness. But i never tested the triptek
@@NomadSweden I think you mentioned this Triptek phone in one of your videos, would you point me out to it ? Which model is it ? How much bigger is it ?
How do you use DMD II as navigation? It doesn't work as navigation as it sends you to google. I was negatively surprised that when you pick a point on map you actually can't use DMD maps for navigation to that point. Can you explain?
Fist you need to use the beta version by going to google play "dmd2" and click to join the beta program. Then you can use the map for navigation. But navigation is in early development so it will be improved a lot over time.
Not sure what you are doing wrong but there is an option to use DMD or other app for navigating to selected spot. So you can of course use dmd for routing
Great vid Robert, quick question that has probably already been asked……. If you didn’t already own the CARPE and was going to buy one of the tablets…….which one?
Hello, I am looking to get some mapping device, as I am rider and paraglider, very interested by the T665 to use in both, so what about the battery charge duration when used not connected on motorbike and running for mapping? Do you get chance to test this point?
With a tomtom it can plan a windy and hilly route from A to B, can you do this with the DMD -T665, or do you have to plan the route in, and then uploaded it?
Hi I ´d like a compartive between original cape iter device vs new tablet. Screen brightness is main key point to decide my purchase. I have sold my Samsung Tab because to low brightness
This was reqally not that clear to me, but it may be because of my ignorance. It demands a certain familiarity with the soft and hardware, which I don't have.
If you want to run DMD2 you should have the T-865. Carpe is not allied with Thork Racing anymore, which is why Thork made their own tablet the way they like it. Plus the T-865 is much lighter and trusty.
@@NomadSweden It doesn't have to be very complicated. It could work like it does on a Carpuride where they're just apps for those who wants to use it. Support for the controllers would be nice but just by the touchscreen is good enogh.
To me it's look far to much money for thoose stuff , guess Zumo xt2 will be a far normal price for gps, in the end we both will find the goal of journey without have to spend astronomic cost for a gps.....
I have a question! What is the different be a pre installed dmd2 on a Samsung galaxy (ruclips.net/p/FL-AeHuLUffYi9pIdGjqH61A) which costs ~€400 and the Carpe iter device for €800?
Mainly brightness and gps-cirquit which has better update frequency and precision. Probably more, if you read on the website. But the Samsung is a popular choice also.
I had my share of problems with my Carpe. Water and charging. I will now test the T-865 this year and see what it’s like. I don’t notice difference in speed. I do like the lighter weight yet larger display. Lets see

You are mixing products. This is targeted at best at Garmin Tread 8". You cannot use handlebar controllers or install apps on the devices you mention. That's a closed Garmin system.
I have to agree with @starstreetadventures The US and European markets have some different needs and or use cases when it comes to serious Nav. As a rider (and tech geek) who keeps a 1250 GS in Europe and a 990R in the desert here in the US, I live in two worlds when it comes to GPS and nav needs. In the US I rely on dedicated devices like a Garmin's Montana (despite my disdain for them) or my trusty rail Tech Voyager Pro to get me through the thousands of miles of backcountry roads and trails. In Europe however, I rely on a TomTom Rider and my cell phone. Different needs for different tools....with different levels of failure implications. This trend of adding more and more bells and whistles to Nav Systems does not really track to the serious ADV rider who uses their bike in true back country environments with a near zero tolerance for failure. I really don't want a GPS that I can install apps on. An open ecosystem looks good on the promos, and maybe for the guys tearing up the autobahn with their ADV bikes, but the system stability risks and feature creep costs are just too high. Most riders need fewer distractions on their bars and controls and more time in the saddle focused on the ride. If people would spend half the time and money on their off-road skills as they spend screwing around with $1500 nav electronics, most on the trail would be better off.

The devices are targeted at users who want an Android device where they can install multiple apps, users who want to use handlebar controllers too and users who want to do roadbooks. I'm the main dev at DMD, and more team members ride with me. I don't even ride in the street, 100% off-road in either ACT/TET like rides or local hard Enduro with small bikes. I never had a single problem with my one year old T665, we have 6 extreme riders testing the devices too. We ride multi days on these things, that's our target, devices need to handle multiday off-road rides.
I run the app on my Android device and it gets better and better and better. The recent online address search integration was a big step forward. I'm still missing "navigation by voice" as this allows me to concentrate on riding much more. I hope to see this feature coming soon. And I'll try "lock screen" next ride in rain 😅
well, the next time I need to change my phone, I know what I'll get. By that time hopefully the app will be improoved further and my garmin will be old enough for retirement. I have the already "old" lmt 396.
Hi! Could someone give comment about GPS work. How quick and good it is without internet connection (A-GPS usage)? As some older tablets are not good with location detection and precision when internet connection is not available. Thanks in advance!
Hi! The certified devices have a tough requirement to have high quality GPS chipset. Because indeed it is the core functionality. So it's not like the normal consumer tablets relying on also mobile triangulation. Their product page says "Believe it or not, the GPS precision is higher than 90% of dedicated GPS units". I have never had a problem so far and I use them offline mostly.

The T865 and T665 have the best GPS we ever seen, better than S22 Ultra, better than the Carpe, better than the Garmins. We even have a external GPS connection on the T865 but never announced it because it just does not need it. It's the fastest fix, precision is sub 2m most of the times and location is spot on, zero issues. This is now our "gold standard" at DMD2.

Greetings from Finland to all bikers. Ride safe.

Thanks! Yes would be nice to try silverfox. Cheers
I understand completely. I hope things turns out better soon.
@@NomadSweden Thanks for your understanding!
My experience with phones is that they shut down when it gets hot. I'm looking forward to your experience.
These are made for motorcycles and have this covered. Not like a normal phone. I rode with the Carpe in 40C and never s problem
@@NomadSweden Good to know!
Little live stream would be awesome!
Yes it's quite new so not much info yet. I will install it on my bike and try it out for a while.
Great video! Ride safe!
Cheers 😊
@@NomadSweden thx. Looking at the remotek one.
Hi thanks for your video… wondering if the DMD2 works well with the screen set in portrait.
Are there restrictions on the number of tracks and POIs that can be loaded.
Yes it can be used very well in portrait mode. Not sure if there is a limit on tracks and wp. I have had quite a few but never tested max
Thanks. I am using the DMD-T665 (phone) in africa right now. It not as bright as Carpe but i have not had problems reading the screen at any point.
Who makes the cabinetry in your garage? Cool stuff.
Check my link collection in description. They are Homeworx.se
Looks really cool! Does it also have a high update frequency GPS chip?
Yes 5hz 👍🏻
Two things, first a live how to would be great. Second and I don't know you you or anyone other than Thork racing can comment on this but does the T865 have to be powered by the included holder? I have an expensive holder I bought when considering the Carpe itr but now I like the idea of the T865.
Live is scheduled 👍🏻 i think it can be charged by normal usb-c also
@@NomadSweden Thank you!
What app do you use to navigate (maybe different on street / offroad)? or do you use only dmd?
If I just want to find an address and go there quickly I use Google Maps. Otherwise I use DMD
I would not recommend risers. Make sure you have a good riding position and handlebars in line with fork angle. Unless you’re way over 2 meters
Have bad experience with Pogo pins in other devices. CarPlay form China but also my Garmin Zumo...
Hi Robert, is it possible to use the sat nav phone on vertical position only with the map? Their website RUclips video has very little information about it.
It will be possible as far as i understand. Its not possible now but upcoming feature
@@NomadSweden thank you Robert!
CanBus connectivity with the DMD-T865, how is that solved? Do you have to go for the full kit "RAM® Quick-Grip Waterproof Wireless Charging Holder with CANsmart™ Connection" to have this?
Sorry I don't know much about CanBus and how it would work here.
@@NomadSweden Thanks Mate, much appreciated!! Love your channel - keep up the great work!!
How does the DMD T-865 goes using osmand? How does it run? Does it overheat?
Nnever triwd osmand but others do. It does not overheat
One of the biggest problems I have with my phone compared to a old school tom tom is using it with gloves on or when the screen is wet. I would like to see some more info on that with these devices.
I have tried the Carpe with gloves and it works good when the glove is prepared for touch. But I mostly use the hand controllers.
There is a lock screen button in the upper right corner that should prevent a wet Android screen to develop it's own life.
@@skybluetenere It's more that you can't use a phone screen anymore when it gets wet. This is why I still use an old tom tom.

Are these shipping to the US yet?
Think so. Check with Thork racing who makes them
Can you use these in a vertical/portrait orientation? do the apps run well that way?
Yes it has both vertical and horizontal modes that works great
I wonder why you took the T665 to the trip instead the Tripltek one, also I really wonder what differences they have. I’m ready to buy one of these devices but there’s no much info available: /
Great video by the way !!
@Lowdown13blues its one of the larger tablets on thork racing website. I never tried it but i mentioned it
How do you use DMD II as navigation? It doesn't work as navigation as it sends you to google. I was negatively surprised that when you pick a point on map you actually can't use DMD maps for navigation to that point. Can you explain?
Fist you need to use the beta version by going to google play "dmd2" and click to join the beta program. Then you can use the map for navigation. But navigation is in early development so it will be improved a lot over time.
@@NomadSweden thanks for clarification
Not sure what you are doing wrong but there is an option to use DMD or other app for navigating to selected spot. So you can of course use dmd for routing
Great vid Robert, quick question that has probably already been asked……. If you didn’t already own the CARPE and was going to buy one of the tablets…….which one?
The new DMD tabs or phones since they seem very nice and have the DMD team close to the production. That makes sure that DMD are proud of them
Thanks Robert, just been looking into mounting kits for these, I’ll be giving it a try……really appreciate the reply👍
Hello, I am looking to get some mapping device, as I am rider and paraglider, very interested by the T665 to use in both, so what about the battery charge duration when used not connected on motorbike and running for mapping? Do you get chance to test this point?
Hi 👋🏻 I used the T665 in Tanzania on the bike. We rode morning to afternoon each day without the battery running dry. So it works quite long
Thanks!
Which one do you recommend between carpe and T865?
Tiday i would get the 865 because it is supported by Thork for the future. Carpe is no longer in their product line
With a tomtom it can plan a windy and hilly route from A to B, can you do this with the DMD -T665, or do you have to plan the route in, and then uploaded it?
You can make routes in dmd2 but it is a new feature that is being worked on so its not perfect yet.
@@NomadSweden ok so in the future you will be able to input a destination like any GPS?
@@ashleygwilt3313 yes you can do it now in dmd2
Great product review!! Is it possible to lock it for security on the bike?
Yes it has a lock on the holder
@@NomadSweden I’m sold! Thanks!
Do they have route planning software like Garmin basecamp( except easy to use)? If so, that would make a nice video!! Excellent video BTW!!!
Thanks. Yes route planning is there
I would like to watch how the gpx files are transferred. Let me know when you have a live session
Just bought the carpe iter so a little pissed they have a new version that would have worked better for me…….
Hi I ´d like a compartive between original cape iter device vs new tablet. Screen brightness is main key point to decide my purchase. I have sold my Samsung Tab because to low brightness
I will mount the new tablet and try it out. The DMD2-T865 is brighter than the Active Tabs, but not as bright as the Carpe Iter tab.
hey there nice bike ! can you tell me what mirrors are that? i hava an honda at and my mirrors hit the touring windscreen and i hate that ! ty!
Check my links in the description
Is it any good for off road riding trails etc???? Thanks 🙏
Sure its good for that too
This was reqally not that clear to me, but it may be because of my ignorance. It demands a certain familiarity with the soft and hardware, which I don't have.
Lucky i made videos before this that explains it.
A tutorial would be great! 👍
Sooo carpe iter or dmd t865 ?
If you want to run DMD2 you should have the T-865. Carpe is not allied with Thork Racing anymore, which is why Thork made their own tablet the way they like it. Plus the T-865 is much lighter and trusty.
@@NomadSweden yeah DMD is a must at this point. T865 it is. Cheers!
I would go with the 665 phone to use it on moto, ebike and old car. And you have a second phone on a journey, for whatever reason
Take my money!
The only thing that would take devices like these to the stratosphere were if they'd also support Android Auto and CarPlay
I’m interested in how you would like to use carplay on these. If you’d like to share 👍🏻
What is the different be a pre installed dmd2 on a Samsung galaxy (ruclips.net/p/FL-AeHuLUffYi9pIdGjqH61A) which costs ~€400 and the Carpe iter device for €800?
ruclips.net/p/FL-AeHuLUffYi9pIdGjqH61A
Mainly brightness and gps-cirquit which has better update frequency and precision. Probably more, if you read on the website. But the Samsung is a popular choice also.
Still waiting it on iOS… 😞
The carpe iter is faster as well. Allround the best of all
I had my share of problems with my Carpe. Water and charging. I will now test the T-865 this year and see what it’s like. I don’t notice difference in speed. I do like the lighter weight yet larger display. Lets see
They look awesome but Holly shit they're expensive
Well at least cheaper than the Carpe Iter 😊
@THORKRACING - North American resident here (Canada). Your devices are priced too high when comparing to market leaders here such as Garmin Zumo XT/XT2 (newly released). I just recently purchased the XT2 after considering your (Thorx) products and it was priced out when I looked at what benefits I would gain. I love reviewing products and consider myself a techie but you may find it difficult to penetrate this market with those prices.
You are mixing products. This is targeted at best at Garmin Tread 8". You cannot use handlebar controllers or install apps on the devices you mention. That's a closed Garmin system.
@ But how much value are you placing on the ability to install apps? These devices are certainly made for a specific use case(s) requirements.
We ride multi days on these things, that's our target, devices need to handle multiday off-road rides.
yes please for a tutorial
Slightly off topic Robert, how are your eyes feeling now 🤓
Thanks for asking. It works very well for me and no complications. Feeling good
I run the app on my Android device and it gets better and better and better. The recent online address search integration was a big step forward.
I'm still missing "navigation by voice" as this allows me to concentrate on riding much more. I hope to see this feature coming soon.
And I'll try "lock screen" next ride in rain 😅
I just found out today, that the Navigation Voice Instructions option is disabled by default 😬 I'm going to test it next week 😊
well, the next time I need to change my phone, I know what I'll get.
I run the app on an UleFone Armor 7 and have no problems.
Fick min i går Carpe Itter och awd controllers
Mycket nöjd
Har bild på montaget
Gött!
Looks like a bit of a faff to me.
