The orchestration, the arrangement and the voice and style of Sinatra creates magic
The American classic singer - never will there be another like him.
One of my all time favorite songs!!!!
I can't pinpoint why exactly, but this song brings me to the verge of tears every time 😢
This is MY reaction to nearly EVERY song of his, and I am a 6' heterosexual man happily married. Sinatra was from some distant better planet. yet uniquely relatable. He was/is amazing.
It's a song entirely about nostalgic, sad memories of happy times, spent so long ago. It's universal.
This is one of my favourite songs. Sinatra is amazing. Every detail in this song is gorgeous
Have you heard his, ''The Wee Small Hours of the Morning''?
Fabulous reaction video. . .You have the maturity and musical sensibility to allow a video like this to play out without stopping it. . .You allowed the mood and the storytelling ability of Frank to wash over us unbroken. . .And your reaction afterward was very insightful. Thanks, you're one of the very best "reactors" to music on RUclips!
Frank did several tv shows with Ella Fitzgerald. Because they were on competing record labels, sadly they never recorded together. But several shows are on RUclips. Ella was his equal and he really respected her amazing talent. They were clearly fond of one another.
the best singer ever tnks from brazil
Sinatra had it all, the awesome voice that was so smooth and rich, he had the swagger, the confidence, the talent, the believability,...etc. he had it all. Other than his awesome voice, his phrasing was fantastic. There are many good voices out there, but very few come remotely close to Sinatra who had it all.
Wonderful reaction, as always. Your insights into a performer and how they sing a song are always interesting and quite accurate. Sinatra was the consummate performer: an excellent instrument, as you mention, a wonderful story-teller, and a marvelous stage presence, even in the studio (love that you picked *this* video!). He learned lyrics the way every singer should...no music, just reading the lyrics as a poem, to learn where to put pauses, what phrases or words to emphasize, and the tempo for each phrase. Then, it's up to your accompanist (or, conductor) to follow your lead.
Sinatra stamped every song he sang, and it became *his* song.
Truly melancholy wonderful wonderful love love
If you will indulge me a story: Like Frank, (who was born on my maternal-grandmother's birthday and three days from my own.although in a far-earlier year) I am a ''train-nut'': Well Frank had the 1949 Lionell Showroom Layout from Manhattan recreated in his FABULOUS Palm Springs estate, (Which he purchased from his profits from the equally- WONDERFUL ''Pal Joey'') and was a member of a Lionel Trains club I was in, and in the annual register of this club, (A heavy phone-book-like tome BEFORE the internet) he was LISTED, in an unpretentious way, under ''S'' in the register, WITH HIS HOME PHONE NUMBER. This of course was a decade before he passed. I never called it, but I wondered then and now how many of the Paparazzi would have KILLED to have this phone number, if they had only known where to look. Miss you Frank.
He sung this here in one take!!!!!!
Sinatra was an artistic-genius, and I don't throw this term around. He was also a fortunate-product of his times when the Culture was BETTER.
Thanks Kasian for that. I Remember my mom playing this on her record player when I was a little
girl. Brings back a lot of memories....Judy D.
Cycles is my favorite Sinatra song
100% love frank, he’s a classic! You should react to this amazing emotive singer Hua Chen Yu, specifically the song child, or dad I’m home.
Great reaction. Seriously. Good breakdown too. You were into it and I dig how you broke down Franks quiet authoritive style.
frank was and is the best
His phrasing is legendary.
FS in his element. Always fun to watch.
Just beautiful singing. And so jarring to see him flip the switch back to professional singer doing his job when it’s over.
You should react to the rat pack together and separately (deano, sammy, and frank especially but some of the skits with peter in Vegas were funny)
Another amazing voice is Nat King Cole and definitely worth introducing to a younger generation. Thank you for highlighting one of the most amazing voices in our history!
Sinatra at his best !!. Please react to Mina, Citta vuotta. Sarah Vaughn said that she would have liked to have Mina's voice if she did not have her own.
Thank you, thank you - I thought I was the only one out there who appreciated this song. So beautiful, but unfortunately this was not one of his favorite songs at all!
Hi Kasian..U have to see Morissette singing "Fly like a bird" at home being quarantined...Cant say anything but shocking and stunning performance..!!U HAVE TO SEE IT..Hurry..!!!

This was not his original style of singing. He wanted to sound different from other voices of the day and came up with this style it worked.
If you're ever having a bad day and need a laugh, or you're having a great day and still wanna laugh, you have to check out Superfruit's La La Land Medley (feat. Kirstin). I promise you will laugh, possibly cry from laughing so hard and you'll feel better, no matter what mood you started in! Pretty please with a cherry on top???!!!
Over 500 recordings
Sinatra's One for the Road is my fav.

Since you like Pentatonix you should react to Todrick Hall's Black and White Ft Superfruit, I like Boys or any music video of his. Better yet watch his Straight Outta Oz Musical and react to whatever part impresses you the most. I think Todrick is highly underrated.

Don't confuse "modern" with "classic" or contemporary. Sinatra was an instant classic who kept up with the changing times. Of course no little credit must go to his arrangers and later, his producers. Ed Sheeran is contemporary and exerting himself only to that extent which enables him to keep up with the turbulent whims of twelve year old girls.
Please react to Kirstin Maldonado singing her song, 'Bad Weather.'
Here is the link to her singing in live:

Nostalgia is what many young people have instead of a life. You are obviously in your early twenties, listening to a song about a man in his middle ages. Get a life man, just get a life!
