Do you have access to abandoned places, where you live? Except for the too remote mountain valleys for touristic appeal (where every rotten shack gets converted in a holiday home), these places are rare in Switzerland. Good to be running around again with the camera(s) - Thank you! Cheers
@@thomasrhinow Many here in Wales, UK, very rural with lots of mining history so you see lots of abandoned places. These buildings remind me if the abandoned mining buildings here made from slate. Will show you about it you ever visit Wales.
@@Lennymcgra Nice! Abandoned industrial buildings are almost non existing here. I've never been to Wales and would love to visit one day. Last time in the UK was as a young man, hitchhiking my way from Dover to Scotland.
Thank you! On one hand it's a wonderful place - mystical and creepy in a beautiful forest. On the other hand it's also quite a sad place - looking at the decay where once human life prospered. Cheers
Another great video Thomas. You put a lot of work into making them look so natural. It is so fun to see your creativity at work. Great images as always but for me the best was seeing your gauge the size of that huge ancient tree and the little affectionate pat as you started to walk on. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much! Yeah, those chestnut trees really impressed me. I have never seen such large tree trunks in Switzerland before. Many of them were dead though, including the one I stepped into. It was sort of a goodbye to the tree :) Cheers
Großartig. Sehr schöne Motive. Die Kameraführung während der Anreise und zum Spot gibt dem Wald und der Herbststimmung etwas Mystisches. Erinnert mich leicht an Blair Witch Projekt.
Gruss
I have only discovered your videos recently. I have been binge watching them, but this one is making me dizzy. The frame speed on the video is too fast when you are walking and moving around. Very dizzying.
Sorry about that. While the (subtle) camera shake in the village was intentionally added in post, I must admit that some of the walking shots can feel dizzying. All shot at 25fps. The Fuji X-T4 which I use for filming does some jerky things when handheld, I will have a look into this. Thanks for letting me know.
@@thomasrhinow Hi and thank you for the reply. I didn’t notice it on any of the other videos I watched. Great videos though and I love your photography. Thank you
Great one Thomas, good to have you back.
Thank you :)
Great Thomas, this is prob my favourite type of Photography, good to see you back.

Great video Thomas! My favorite type of photography, a mystical place that could serve as a continuation of my "Human absence" series :)
Thanks Miro! Your "Human Absence" series plays in a higher league though :)
@@thomasrhinow - Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it very much, Thomas!
Love the location and the greens and blacks. Nature taking back 👍🏻
Thank you!
