As i think, when your russian mbt is stock, you should better to use HE round OF-26 instead HEATFS, in close engagement. Only russian/ussr mbt in mix battles can resist it. But tis is definitely a completely different method of aim from apdsf, y should train it before put on red button "into the pain". Also, for example, often y must waste 2-3 apdsf rounds to kill striker, and only 1 apdsf + 1 OF-26.

Heatfs is still effective against western mbts tbh but never worked against Soviet and China top mbt

Soviet heatfs are very good only heatfs to have 550mm pen where nato heatfs is only 480mm pen
