Another insightful review! Thanks for showing all the minor differences between this figure and the previous 2.0 Vegeta, as I didn't pick up on those details from watching other reviews. From my knowledge it is true that web exclusives don't get re-released at least under standard circumstances. That is why we got certain characters re-released before as "premium color editions."
I hope they'll re-release this figure. They are doing it with Broly movie Broly and Gogeta, so hopefully Vegeta and Goku will come next. A Golden Frieza re-release would be nice too.
Wow!!! I'm surprised the all previous 2.0 body and head works interchangably. The scouter black hair vegeta looked awesome in the latest God Vegeta body. I'm gonna try it when I get mine.
The third party companies (Demoniacal Fit in particular) are stolen molds recast in transparent plastic. Personally, I'd rather get this (in spite of how people are relentlessly bashing his SSG head/face) because now that I've seen an actual review of the real thing, I'd rather give Tamashii my money. Though, I loved the timing for Vegeta's announcement. Right after DF made their crappy knockoff heads, Tamashii revealed the real thing.
@@beepboop2021 You make a fair point, but the QC on both Ginyu and Jheese are god awful. Jheese's leg falls off at the slightest touch and very akin to "Special Forces Captain" the joints are hideously loose.
What throws me off a bit, is that the only time you see Vegeta grin in SSG is in the Manga via vs Goku Black. You don't see SSG Vegeta break a smile yet in anime. I know they're doing Manga stuff/Manga colors for exclusives. Sooo... Can we get a SDCC Super Saiyan (Yellow) Goku Black?
It is indeed true that Bandai of Japan doesn't re-release Tamashii Web exclusives. Now they did re-release figures with the same old molds like the original ss Trunks, ss Vegeta, Frieza and Perfect Cell but they were "Special Color" repaints so technically they weren't the same figure they just shared the same sculpt's with slightly different colors.....ironically these repaints were also Tamashii web exclusives lol.
I’d buy this for the SSG Vegeta, it’s probably my favorite transformation that Vegeta has used. That is if I could buy it because it’s like $100 - $200 where ever I look 😤🤦♂️
@9:33 I noticed some scratching on Vegeta's shoulder. His Left shoulder near where you would rotate the arms against or near the upper gold of the armor. Is that to be expected? Am I gonna have to protect this figure more than others?
Yeah, that was me just not being careful with it. I tried a little to hard to push the shoulder up and it rubbed up against the yellow part of the armor.

This figure came out well, except the head doesn’t look as good like his prototype. Another thing, I’m disappointed they didn’t include more accessories for vegeta. It’s always just faces and hands. Add an effect like trunks. He came with a spirit bomb sword with galic gun. Same with goku, give him another kamehameha

Those are great places to look online but you need a Japanese address or be here long enough to find one and get it sent to you. If you’re looking for a store, try Mandarake in Akihabara or Nakano. You’ll expect to pay 8000-10,000 for one unfortunately.
This kinda makes me want to buy every vegeta you showed because I want the base head, super saiyan head and the red and blue head. Maybe I can live without the majin vegeta
They have demoniacal fit vegeta base heads. If anything, I would skip scouter and get majin based solely on the body. It looks badass with a normal ssj head
I believe it was the binding move he used in the Broly movie. The move was also an inspiration for a Banpresto figure. I think a lot of people have tried this pose with their figures, but one of the first and in my opinion one of the best SHF DB photographers to pull it off is Gary Garzon. You can find his work on Instagram.
That’s what I keep hearing too. The only time they kind of re issued a figure was with Goku Black by making him an exclusive for this years Dragon Ball tour. I think Frieza was a web exclusive as well and they kind of updated it for an over counter release.

The SS head that came with the original 2.0 Vegeta is not a Super saiyan 2 head. It was always supposed to represent his buff SS transformation during the Cell games after he came out of the room of spirit and time. And besides Bandai has never made a SS2 Vegeta because Vegeta's hair in his SS2 state has more detailed individual strands of hair. And none his figure releases are labeled "SS2".

Virtual 64 he’s talking about the new exclusive comic con Gohan figure. They’re just reusing the mystic gohan figure that came out couple years ago, but it includes with a ssj head with his ki effect being blue instead of yellow.
Hmm.. the decals on the eyes don't look right. Seam lines on the hair also look bad. Looks like Bandai just phone this in.. the sculpt is no where near the quality of the 2.0. I understand they are going for a different look but these are some serious corner cutting design just to cash in on the fans.
This isn't really based off dragon Ball super. It's based off the Broly movie. Yes it's still technically DBS but it's based off the Shintani design specifically
2.0 Vegeta is a HORRIBLE figure. His shoulders are off from his arms (big shoulders punny arms) His shoulders are smaller on the Sayain Saga Vegeta which looks just right with the arms. His legs are WAAAAY TO BIG ON ALL VERSIONS AND THE MAJIN VEGETA MID SECTION IS 🤣🤣🤣. First he has a pot belly in the Sayain armor now he's anorexic in the Boo Saga outfit.

Leg articulation is the same as the 2.0 but the god face plate does come off, yes.

These were revealed very early on, they most likely hadn't learned about gogeta after the figure was basically done.
