    Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.

    Guys. He said THE ENGINE. Please open your eyes, he didn’t say vehicle build, he said L83 build. He knows what he’s talking about because I’m currently working on a very similar build. The engine has put up with the power. Obviously I had to replace the trans and the diff but that’s because everything else isn’t built for 1k hp. But like I said, this is about an L83, not about the rest of the specs.

      🧢 youre full of shit too fuel system wont come close to 1k on an l83 even if its upgraded to the lt4 stuff. Have to use port injection to get anything close to 1k. My l83 is tapped at 760 on the direct injection fuel system and ive done a lot more to my engine than he suggested. sounds good though

    Yeah you don't need to do all that. Cam, L86 intake and TB. take it apart and add ring gap, since you have to fly cut the domes in the pistons for PTV clearance for the cam. Add ARP Studs when you reassemble then add turbo.

    Talks about a direct injected engine but shows an intake and injectors set up for port injection. The only way I’d pay the premium for the L83 is because it’s aluminum and directed injected. If you’re getting rid of the direct injected I’m not sure why people would pay the high dollar amount over an older vortec.

    That engine seems nice and easy to come up on but I just want to put new bearings and go through the engine in my old 64 Buick wildcat coupe it's a 401 425 actually 425 nailhead and I would just love a video of that $425 horsepower I believe

    I have some of this in my 2jz build. Arp main and head studs, king thrust washer the other bearings are ACL king was the only thrust washer available rn. Big single turbo lmao. Of course built bottom end built head stock crank but I swear I paid ALOT more minus buying the car with partial built bottom.

    2200. That rods and piston were 1k or better head and cam packing for about another 1k. But it's a good build.

    If y’all do a turbo set up like that, be sure to run a $400 methanol injection set up to cool IATs and run more timing.

  • @Loucfr
    @Loucfr 2 года назад +1

    Everything was good except the heads. Unless you have money to burn, all a ported head will do is create more power for the same amount of boost. You can accomplish the same thing by increasing the boost a few pounds. Then you can use that $2200 for a good stage 4 turbo cam and a Holley terminator. Boost on a stock computer can be a nightmare to tune. The Holley makes it so much easier. But you do lose all of your creature comforts so not ideal for a daily. But then again who in their right mind would daily a 1000 hp car 😂

    • @loswilson5331
      @loswilson5331 2 года назад

      Why can't you daily a 1,000 hp car if it's reliable?

    $2200 my ass! Ain’t no way. That Holley high ram intake and big turbo is a$1k rite there , rods pistons rings bearings will be at least $15-1800! Then the head work is probably a grand at least, the ARP bolt kits for my engine 5.4GT500 was over $600 in bolts alone mains, side bolts, headbolts, cam bolts and washers , tensioner bolts, Kenetic crank bolt is $100 for one bolt!

  • @phillipstein9099

    Richard Holdener proved you can do that with a stock bottom end on the dyno. That's only part of the expense of trying to do in an actual vehicle.

  • @m0nster324
    @m0nster324 2 года назад

    L83 is direct port injection, the LT4 injectors are the biggest ones you can use and they don't support 1k hp so you'll need methanol injection or add port injection

    I was thinking about putting at least $3K or $4K down on a engine to go in my 99 Dodge Ram 1500. But what u said got me thinking to go ahead to drop something good off and they're like what you're talking about. What's the use of putting a regular stock 5.2L V8 engine back in when I can have more power. Thanks for the idea brother🙂
