Doom II: Countdown to Death (MIDI Cover)

Here is a cover of Bobby Prince's Doom II track, "Countdown to Death", I made from scratch in MIDI form. I wanted to give this track a different kind of feeling by ramping up the paranoia factor and then finally 'pulling the rug out' once the namesake countdown inevitably ends, leading to a new melody entirely that may sound familiar. Can you guess where it's from? Regardless, I hope you enjoy!

Loving this cover! The vibes kinda remind me of a few music tracks from _Divine Divinity,_ such as _Drunk with Dwarven Mirth_ or _Dwarven Clockwork._

I LOVE using those low pitched steel drum/music box notes. They set a creepy tone so well. I never really did mind the original CtD either, but over the years, it seems to have gotten quite a bit of flak in general. That was one of the reasons I wanted to cover it!
