      @@Just_me509it’s still vandalism. Most vandalism can be cleaned, but defacing property- even if that property is technically just glass- with things like paint, is still a form of vandalism/property destruction.

      Needs a huge fine as well, like $25k per incident, and they pay whatever it costs to replace or repair. They cannot afford it, garnish their wages for life and deny them any social benefits if they don’t work.

      By "ruined" you mean temporarily inconvenienced the museum staff who had to clean off the glass after these young women knowingly got themselves arrested by staging a virtually harmless demonstration in order to garner worldwide awareness for a just cause. To stand idly by in the face of a looming climate crisis and mass extinction event is one thing, but to deface that noble sheet of protective glass is beyond the pale.

    This art has nothing to do with wetlands and whatever else they were “protesting” about. Even if the painting itself wasn’t harmed, they got their point across that they would do that to an unprotected painting.

    I like the time protesters glued them self too the floor in Germany in a the Porsche museum and the staff just locked up and left them there over night too then get arrested the next morning. That’s how justice is served
