Dude if this was your introduction to SWANS it can be a bit confusing. SWANS started not like this at all. Some of the earlier stuff is great, some of the latter. They are a frustrating group shall we say. This album and and Love of Light were 2 of the very best albums of rock music in the last 50 years.
@@aedgardaethelredd5578 yeah the early stuff is quite different from this, it's slightly industrial and noisy. This is actually has a Gothic feel to it, that's probably why it appealed to me. I love stuff like The Sisters of Mercy and Fields of the nephilim, Type o negative etc. I'm kinda fussy with Swans more recent stuff, some good some also good it just doesn't appeal to me. I love everything they released in the 90s. Soundtracks for the blind is an incredible record. The song helpless child gives me David Lynch funeral home vibes lol White light is probably my first love though 🤗
I had a chance to meet Mr. Gira after a concert for an autograph and I had a chance to tell him "I love you and thank You for Your work", he's a really great person

played this at one of those newer jukeboxes at a restaurant, the volume was loud and when the intro to the song started playing, let's just say it almost blasted everyone's eardrums including myself. I was kicked from the restaurant and was banned from coming to the inside of it and was only allowed to order delivery to get my food there.
