This is really a reflection on his life & the official video has great clips of him throughout his career, including his rodeo days. Happily married for over 40 years, this decent & generous man, who has had zero scandals in his life, has over 60 #1 hits & is 'King George' to the country community, He served in the military, he was a real rodeo cowboy & loving family man. And, he does not have a bad song. 'I saw God today' is a great song & he has some fun ones like 'All my exes live in Texas' & 'Oceanfront property' for starters.

That's one of the reasons I quit watching a lot of his song reactions. I know he chooses lives for less of a chance of a copyright strike, Sometimes I think they aren't the best choice though.

My favorite George Strait song. Second favorite: Amarillo by Morning. So great that his live singing voice is so strong.

"Some times I feel like Jesse James, still trying to make a name." this line is a testament to his humility. 40 years of being at the top of the game, 60 #1 hits, sold out venues that litter his career, and still thinks he's trying to make a name for himself. I will tell you that I have met and spent a little time with George (a chance meeting and over an hour of conversation about golf, fishing, rodeo and music), and that is exactly his personality.

My very favorite George song, Troubadour. My dad was like that until the day he died. He was a wonderful country drummer/singer who played with a lot of bands back in the day like Little Richard and James Brown. I miss him so much. Wonderful song choice, Boyd. Thank you. ❤️

King George has 100s of great songs. One that gets over looked is "Best Days". It's basically about a son growing up doing things with his dad

This was during the last day of his last official tour. He still performs here and there but he retired from touring. That's why there are so many other country singers on stage. They were giving him a big send off.

I don't know if the person that requested sent you this videos specifically... There must have been a live one out there they didn't have all these other voices mixed in so you could really hear George.

One of my favorite songs, I’m 45, feelin pretty nostalgic nowadays, and there’s nothing wrong with country music, I could jam out to this, then Yanni, then Wu-Tang, then Killswitch engage, down with all of it.

George just gets better with age like a fine wine...his voice is the epitome of country music and the man became a legend standing on a stage with a guitar singing....no light show, no smoke or mirrors....just picking and singing. He had no need for all the fancy crap....I've seen this man in concert 10 or more times and it never got old. He did not live the easiest life and not quite scandal free, there was a period of time when he was so drunk he would literally fall off the stage at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and he almost killed his young son in a drunk driving crash. He straightened up and a few years later he lost his daughter, the man has his share of demons and still to this day has the inner strength to stand on a stage and do what he loves. He's a husband of 40+ years, a father, a cowboy, a consummate entertainer and an incredibly proud grandpa. Live on King George!!! ❤

My grandpa said to me when he was in his 80’s that life is like a vapor (which that scripture is in the Bible) and it seems like yesterday that he and grandma were getting married and getting in the surrey to go on their honeymoon and now here we are in our 80’s. He said he didn’t feel any older than 18 mentally but he said his body was breaking down. I was young at the time (High School) so I understood what he meant that time had went by in a blink of an eye but I really didn’t understand until I got older exactly what he meant about how you mentally never age but your body does. I of course understand exactly what my grandpa was saying now that I’m 55. The older I get I also understand better what he meant of life being a vapor. The older you get your life seems to fly by faster and faster. Our children are all in their 20’s now and I look at them and think how is this possible, it seems like yesterday that their dad and I were getting married and then bringing our newborn home from the hospital. Seemed like we had so much time ahead of us then as we were just starting out in life but it flew by and all of a sudden your dropping your oldest child off at Middle School for 6th grade and then on the heels of that it’s their Senior year of High School and then they’re graduating and then it’s college graduation and life just seems to be moving at a whirlwind speed. Our children are grown now and have their own lives and my husband and I are grateful and thankful for the wonderful godly young men we’ve raised with Gods help and guidance all along the way but we look at each other and say “How did this happen, when did they grow up, how did it go by so quickly?” We think how did we get this old already, when did our music become “classic old school” music lol?! Life does seem to go by faster and faster with each year that passes. Mentally we still feel 16-20 years old but our bodies are telling us we’re not that young anymore. I think it’s interesting that in the Bible God says he will give all those that receive Him new bodies as He knows the ones we’re in are going to break down because of sin. I’m so looking forward to my new body. I’m sure young people can’t understand that as they haven’t felt the rigors of time on their body yet. I was there once but I see and feel what my grandpa was talking about way back when I was in High School. I believed him then but just didn’t really comprehend it exactly until I got a little older. Life is like a vapor, here and gone in an instant, goes by so quickly.

Another great one by George Straight is called “Give It Away.” I think you’d get a kick out of that one - or it could make you sad, depending on your life experiences. 😅
