It’s been years since I’ve seen her so I can’t remember exactly what happened, but she definitely went to jail for something to do with failing to pay, but she was also doing m*th and pills, and had a lot of other issues going on, so I can’t give specifics because I don’t know. I don’t think she ever paid CS to my father like she was supposed to, so maybe that’s how she got a number that high. $21k is insane, I’ve seen it be a higher number though😭😭😭😭
Trust 21k for child support is nothing the average payment a month is about 430$ and for a year it’s about 5k and they have to pay that for 18 years… it also depend how much the payer is making because that’s what they go off of to see how much they have to pay

As someone who has had to deal with the family court, a lot, because of my ex-husband… Looking at that MSA, she just has to get a job, stay employed for 6 months and do a psyche eval. and as a therapist, his behavior pattern sets off tons of red flags as a narcissist, who successfully manipulated the Family Court system (and probably guardian ad litem) AND has the money to do so. i’ve seen it so many times it never ceases to amaze me how many are proud of themselves! One father tricked his 18-year-old child into taking a bit of a gap year… He did this to exploit a state law that required parents to pay for college, but only if the education was continuous. He’s still proud of this 20 years later SMH.

She has 0 days or nights visitation to her children and is required to have a full psychiatric assessment before that can change. That isn’t something that courts just do for fun. Speaking personally, you get so desperate to get away you will do almost anything. The harassment, the stalking, the smear campaign, the triangulation of people you thought cared about you and your kids, the CONSTANT threats (like NEVER. ENDING THREATS) the physical violence… If she had said “Im raising money to leave my abuser” , who knows what he would have done. In the absolute desperation of my abuse I could see myself trying to raise money as fast as possible to try and disappear. If she raised money for any other cause, I guarantee he would have taken control of it immediately. In this situation HIPAA may have been able to protect her long enough to put a plan in place.

He told me, taking my kids was the only way he knew he could hurt me. My kids cry to be with me and he won’t let them. I don’t even get over night weekends. I’m not on drugs, I own a house with my husband. I have a steady job where I’ve gotten 3 promotions in 1 year. I still don’t make enough to afford a lawyer and in the court system, apparently that makes me a bad mom

I’m far more likely to take his side that hers, because of the settlement paperwork he showed. She has 0 days or nights visitation to her children and is required to have a full psychiatric assessment before that can change. That isn’t something that courts just do for fun. ETA When I say side with, I mean believe the side of rather than support. I can’t support either parent in this BS as they are supposed to love their kids more than they hate each other and it seems both of them are incapable of doing that.

Speaking personally, you get so desperate to get away you will do almost anything. The harassment, the stalking, the smear campaign, the triangulation of people you thought cared about you and your kids, the CONSTANT threats (like NEVER. ENDING THREATS) the physical violence… If she had said “Im raising money to leave my abuser” , who knows what he would have done. In the absolute desperation of my abuse I could see myself trying to raise money as fast as possible to try and disappear. If she raised money for any other cause, I guarantee he would have taken control of it immediately. In this situation HIPAA may have been able to protect her long enough to put a plan in place.
