- I've kept this golf vlog quiet for some time now but it's now time to show you an update to Alex Etches' WITB.
I purchased my Miura Wedges in New York City earlier this year as I couldn't resist its sheer beauty and attraction. Miura Golf is a family run business dedicated to creating the purest of golf equipment. Handcrafted by founder Katsuhiro Miura and his sons, the Miura story is compelling as much as it is inspiring.
"Miura has been making the world’s finest forged golf clubs since 1957. Designed and constructed by master craftsman Katsuhiro Miura, each club is individually made using Miura’s patented forging process. To this day, Miura-san continues to work in the factory with his sons, Shinei and Yoshitaka, who proudly carry on the Miura legacy" (Miura Golf - miuragolf.com/)

Hey Guys, I’m Alex Etches and I’m a golf professional and product reviewer. If you don’t know me, I started playing golf from 10 years old, turned professional at 22 in the UK and have been creating entertaining and informative golf content on different platforms for the last 10 years. My home is now AUSTRALIA and I hope to take you around some of the best golf courses from down under.

I also do lots of travelling and will bring you along the journey with me. With Golf Vlogs from the UK, the US and many other locations it never gets boring on tour with #TEAMAL! - Спорт
Please be the first youtuber that review "BOUTIQUE GOLF CLUBS". I am sure there are many golf maniacs out there who wants to see a review on such clubs as they are rare and expensive, hence people want to know more before buying it but there are few reviews online as they are hard to get (rare and expensive). If you can be the first youtuber to do this then i think you would establish and cement your position on youtube world golf community. There are many other brands such as fujimoto golf, seven golf, jean baptiste, itobori, zodiac, bennock, etc. They all make incredibly beautiful state of the art golf club. Like so AL would see this
A couple of mates bought me a set of second hand Miura wedges (51, 55 and 59) - despite being second hand they spin more consistently than anything I've ever played... liked them so much I treated my self to a set of the MC-501's
I've seen great clubs for a steal.
I've seen plenty of garbage for a mint.
A full set of Miura blades and wedges and I could die a samurai's death, happily.
Also, great camera and editing work in this one!
Haha thanks mate 🙏
Love the fact you stayed true to form and played a par 5 with a wedge
Anyone who doesnt know Miura himself still inspects and grinds every single club that they make!! Awesome clubs!!
I played Miura 501 irons and wedges in a custom finished black satin. They are stunning and the forgings feel like no other.
My mate just bought Miura mb 101 3-PW full fitting. And the lockdown happened. All driving ranges/Golf courses closed. I cant imagine the urge of hitting a ball he has right now. Lol
Full set 4-gap and 60/56/52 K grind wedges. Love them! Best irons I’ve ever played!
Best looking clubs I have ever seen!
I've had Miura irons since 2012 and never looked back. The feel of the ball on the club is amazing, the latest wedges I have are the K grind which I find brilliant. I lent them to my friend and he immediately went out and bought a set of Miura wedges and is now also completely hooked on them.
I love the simplicity of them.....top notch
Absolutely beautiful!!! The wedges Al. Like you said a work of art. Great content as always pal
Miura clubs are unlike any others. The feel is totally unique. I got the LH CB irons 5 years ago and just picked up a set of the new LH wedges. Looking forward to actually being able to use them on a golf course.
Okay first things first!! The chaos that is your filming style is amazing!! I feel like I'm actually there!!. Second I want miura clubs so bad. I am in no way good enough to play them but they are stunning!! Keep up the killer content!!
They are really beautiful! I have seen the Miura video on RUclips amazing that all are hand crafted! I am really jealous! Thank for the video and showing us off your new loved ones lol
I bag that wedge in 50,54&58.
They feel like butter.
Artwork you can put to work for you.
They look absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely love the music and videography at the start of the video. Every single time, the best content!
Thanks mate 🙏
They are beautiful, and have the stopping power of water. So much spin!
👍👍👍🔥
Those are indeed a beautiful club and design. You are fortunate to have gotten the wedges and would put those in the bag
When I saw Miura, I almost needed to leave the room and have a moment in private by myself.
Miura irons have always been on my bucket list and their latest Miura MC501's are my absolute pinnacle. I actually built myself a set on their website the other day after watching Matt Fryer's build your bag and they were around $2,500 for a set of irons from 4 - PW. And that was with absolute stock shafts with no up charge.
I just bought a combo set a few months ago. Miura is a thing of beauty. Now I'm that guy with the head covers for irons....
Wow certainly 3 little rippas there. They do look gorgeous!
The word that coming to my mind when I hear the word "Miura" is: Perfection. Absolutely love them. That said,.their is just one problem, which I will leave nameless...but for those of us that know these amazing clubs, know what I'm talking about. Almost 3 years ago when I started my research in which clubs I was going to buy...only 2 club manufactures were on my list: Ben Hogan and Miura. Their iron and wedges not only achieve outstanding craftsmanship but also carry the names of men I respect and admire in the world of golf. One can list such a correlation on a handful of club makers. I'm pleased Al, you have such equipment in your hands....congrats. I will tell you this, it would be dam shame for such equipment to collect dust and not be put to use. Thus, USE THEM every time you play golf. Mr. Miura would want nothing less to his gear being played!
Im always so scared of hitting a rock or something every time I play. So now I try to play at courses that look 'safe'
Beautiful clubs and... that sound!
Clean and stunning. Aspirational.
This is an art piece, long for this clubs
Another good one Al. We need a vid of all the times you go to describe something, can’t think of a word and grab the first one that comes into head, love it! 😁
Haha!!! Thanks mate
Saw these first on adventures in golf and they’ve always looked 🔥
Beautiful. I own a set of Honma (LB300) irons and a Maruman (Conductor Pro) driver both also from Japan. I love them.
They loook amazing
During the intro thought for sure BIGFOOT was going to make an appearance. Beautiful wedges. Love the athletic demonstration of you running down the fairway and jumping 😂😂😂 also you chasing your bad chip in the intro
i love theeeem. Please review the irons, you'll be astonished by the feel. I'm gaming the MC-501 and it's the best looking and feel you'll ever get!! Thanks for the video Al, great content as always.
They look stunning 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The course is in perfect condition every time I see it in the videos, wish I lived there
Love my Miura baby blades 😍
Thanks mate - i am going to be skint!!! Lovely clubs.
Amazing looking clubs, look like they work well too, seen one on Ebay and wasn't sure, now I might look in to some
great video Al, keep it up!
I'm quite new to golf and needed a lob wedge, so lucky to get a miura new wedge series in the second hand market (barely used) for USD150. One of my greatest buy ever, boy they felt and looked so good.
Loved the Sergio esk run n jump, almost like I remember it...🤔😂
Should try the MB001’s or the baby blades. Such beauty. Think you’d fall in love!
Oh... oh man. Those are so stunning lol. I’m jealous, for sure.
I’m literally in-love with a set of wedges haha!
Beautiful club. You convinced me have the 60,54,50 on its way.
Beautiful
Best wedges I own period
Those might be the best looking clubs i have ever seen
Nice jump in the fairway. You got a good 4"-5" off the ground.
Thought you might go for the T-20. Outstanding clubs. But those are beautiful 😍 Never had you pegged as a boutique golfer. You should give Matty at TXG a call and buy his old Miura irons.
Wowww what a stunning looking wedge, shame on the price though, bit out my budget. Great video again Al 👍
Wow!! 😁😁😍😍🥰🥰
Dear Alex. Keep the good work. I play Miura 501 so I know what you are talking about. Sometimes i just enjoy staring at them. Please go for the boutique clubs. Just to name a few: More Miuras, Fourteen, Seven, OnOff, Avian, Kyoei, Jbeam, KZG, Artisan, Itobori
I'm a designer and I must say: those are timeless beauties
You should get a full set , I have epon hand crafted , the feel .. well there’s nothing like them .. enjoy your new toys 😉🏌️♂️⛳️🍻
Nice clip I play with the MC-501 and the same tour wedges.
Alex another great review> If you can find time could you do a comparison with some of the top wedges...Miura, vs Cleveland CBX vs Titleist Vokey, vs Mizuno HMB and possible Hogan Equalizers.....This would be interesting...Thanks...
Gorgeous looking wedges. You HAVE to do a review of their irons..
Those are my dream wedges. I'm so jealous.
Don’t be jealous, just get a set of your own 😂
yeh would be awesome if you could test the new MB001. These are my dream set of irons / wedges ...
Dibs on first refusal big man hahaha.... Someone very good also had a full set made with a different brand on... he has big claws.
Hi Al, I have been the happy owner of a full set of CB57's and K grind wedges for almost 4 years. Although you would not know it from looking at my irons...they still look new as I keep them headcovered (I know, I know), because I will never be able to afford another set...in fact, I can no longer play my two most lofted K grinds, I wore them completely out. I hope to get into some money some day to buy two more...so easy to play, and so beautiful. Unlike anything else out there. I have not tried the new iron models, but if you ever have a chance to hit some CB57's, don't do it. You will fall in love, and they are very hard to get now.
Someone is in love 😂
Love Miura stuff just wish it was easier to get hold of them in the UK.
Commentary is legendary 😂😂
It's droll that the only rubbish shot on the par 5 was the one using the right club haha. I've got Miura 1008s. Awesome clubs!
I've hit a blade 9 iron from them and it was butter I would love to have a set myself.
“The wand chooses the wizard Harry.” (Er, wait... I meant..) “The Miura wedges choose the golfer Alex”!
Also I believe Miura San used to use shimada shafts and go and collect them on his motorbike - sure I read that somewhere👍
One day. I just started redoing my bag: SIM2 MAXD driver, SIM2 TI 3 wood, (soon to get the 5w), SIM DHY 4, 5-pw Mizuno mp59 and i just started with the wedges. Found a steal for a miura 56* wedge now I just need to get a 52 bent to 50 and a 60 bent to 62 eventually the 59’s will get replaced with miuras but for now I’m excited to get my final 3 clubs
Hubba hubba 😍
I tried them but a little out of my price range. Purchased Mizuno’s instead. They are beautiful clubs.
baby blades will forever be in my bag
Al have you watched Erik Anders Lang’s fitting at the Miura factory? It’s on RUclips. You gain even more respect for the company after watching it.
I'd like to see your reviews on Epon Golf too :D
There could be a real Niche for you Alex...Review clubs that the others like Crossfield and Shiels DON'T. Huge view numbers! I haven't seen a Miura review in forever and of course they are GOD LIKE STATUS amongst true golfers...
buenas la verdad increible video lo disfrute aguardo por el nuevo material me despido les dejo cariños gracias
I play Miura irons, and I love them because the leading edge sits pretty tight to the ground- I don’t like looking at a lot of bounce lifting the front edge up. Can you tell me how the wedge sits? Straight leading edge or curved and sits tight or raised up? Thank you!
They look sexy. I've gamed a couple of sets of Miuras over the years (plus a set of Miura forged MacGregor PCB tours). People often talk about how soft they feel but my experience was they felt no softer than Mizuno blades. Definitely less clicky than Titleist blades. The softest feeling irons I've played were actually cast, Maxfli revolution black and red dots. They were so soft you almost needed to loft and lie twice a season, but the Pro would like doing it because they were so easy to move! Have you ever hit their Aussie blades from that era?
Feel is all very subjective. I recently commented on another RUclips video that the old Callaway X12 pros had a great feel too!
The chrome wear spot on Miuras was much better than my Mizuno or Titleist irons.
Enjoy your new wedges. Thanks for your videos, I enjoy them.
Great looking clubs were they very expensive.Top man to be able to score a6 Ona par 5 just using wedges 👏⛳️🏌🏼
They certainly are a thing of beauty and they must be working for you - never seen you hit chips that close that consistently before. So, do they make a putter Al? ;-)
I practice with a set of Mizuno Pro TN-87’s. I’d love to see how they compare to the Miura’s.
@matt becham for strike. If you can get consistantly good strikes from old forged clubs my P790's start to feel like I'm cheating.
Absolutely awesome brilliant review, can you only bye these in America.
From seeing them been produced on youtube, it seems to me that this is without doubt, the most true/pure/honest brand on the market. And they probably also cost like 2-3x more than the regular most expensive clubs from Titleist/mizuno and such. Miura are all hand made, and so much more time is used on making them. Only the richest people get to try them, a pity. It is rumoured that Tiger used them instead of Titleist in his prime, together with some few other players.
@@casualguy393 Thanks :-)
Where’s that filmed al it looks lovely there
James Robinson will be so jealous, beautiful clubs
You are going to do a give away for sure on these wedges aren't you. Count me in. LOL
Great clubs! My buddy bought a entire set! Think they cost him $3300. Insane but they are beautiful
😍🤤😍🤤😍🤤😍
What golf course is that? Lovely looking wedges btw
So do you like them or not? So hard to tell. Cheers Al. Great vid.
they are beautiful. to bad i cant afford one of them. but like you said i would not want to play them, they would go on the wall.
When you doing a video of what’s in your bag??
Miura Baby Blades are calling you.....
I’ve got a single Miura 8 iron. I bought years ago. The plan was to buy a set a club at a time. Unfortunately that plan didn’t survive contact with reality.
@@casualguy393 not Hawaii 😂
@@casualguy393 lol I would love to go , get a new set of clubs I use my pops clubs old mizuno irons how are you liking those irons I was thinking about a brand new set of Miuras or and brand new set of mizunos !
3 wedge shots on the green....Tommy has to wait for 16 shots 🤣🤣🤣
Bro get you hands on some seven golf clubs to review please.
I've never seen check like that outside the tour
Is Muira extremely difficult to get in your area? I never realized Muira was as big a deal as it is. I've lived within 30 minutes of Carl's Golfland in the Detroit, Michigan area my entire life. They sell Muira off the rack like any other major brand.
Just a quick question? What's your what's in the bag from driver to putter
They look stunning, sound amazing, and the ball spin...! So... do they perhaps have an available single sister that you’d like me to meet? ;) Keep doing what you do!
