- No one wants their posts flagged as spam. So hopefully these tips will help you avoid triggering the spam detectors on Facebook.

Within the last few days it's got really ridiculous. Totally innocent posts are being flagged left, right and center, for "violating community standards"! I admin a buy & sell group, and tons of perfectly legit posts by its members have been unnecessarily auto-blocked by Facebook. I have to waste precious time approving those posts. In fact, my _own_ ad (promoting a small printing business I run) has been flagged as spam in all the groups in which it's been posted.
I suspect it's an overreaction by Facebook to the recent congressional hearings.
It is fucking out of control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark needs to step up and look at what is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was flagged as spam so i figured Facebook can go fly a brick and i closed my account problem solved. Simple reality for business and facebook. If you are going to treat people as spam AND above all give us no reasonable way to appeal then bye bye platform. Facebook will go the way of the dodo and something new will take its place. Natural progression. So if your business is facebook dependent i highly recommend to contact facebook on the people's behalf and figure this out. And or bye bye exposure. Cheers.

Hey very good information. Currently facebook has blocked me from sharing for couple of days and I was worried about it as I didn't know the exact reason.

Same here!!!!!!!!!! Flagged me as spamming in one of my groups. I was actually chatting with someone who had a birthday coming up and posted a pic and said " if you do not have this, I will give it to you for your birthday." They flagged it as spam and banned me for 24 hours!

All of a sudden today, in every group I belong to, and only my groups, all my comments are being labeled as spam.
But it’s not. How is saying, where is/was this? spam?
How is saying just looking at that makes me gain some weight back I lost. lol how is that spam?
As I said, this all started today. How do I resolve this?
An admin if one group looked and every comment where I replied to something someone else posted; similar to what o showed and said above, is listed as spam.

there has been a bit of a bug with Facebook around this unfortunately wait it out is all you can do.
I am on month 3 of this happening now, in every group I belong to--none of which I've ever spammed and many of which I've belonged to for years. I don't even create posts of my own that often. I'm talking like once or twice a month--at the most. So it's not like I'm posting too frequently. And I don't duplicate my posts in multiple groups, nor do I share links. But starting in late April, every post I try to make in every single group is going to spam. And of course, FB is ZERO help. I'm to the point now that if I even bother to try to post in a group, I have to message an admin and ask them to get it out of spam for me, which is exactly where it is every time. It is getting so old and frustrating. I did nothing to cause this.
Tina try this it may or maynot help but has worked for some.
Change your password when you do make sure you log out of all devices
Then clear you web and phone cache
And then give it 24 hours and the flag whatever it is that the algorithm had just might reset
HI do'nt beelive half of this as seen the same explanations in other grus, but no one can sya where they got their information from, it seems like heresay and it certainly does not say that is the reason on ANY facebook help page. I mainly buy & sell stuff and in sewing groups for discussionon clothing, but mainly selling items becuas eit's free to list on facebook. when you post one item for sale in a group an dpress next, facebook then gives you a box to tick where it shows a list of all the groups your in, you tick the box next to that group to say i want to post my post to those groups ticked at once. If facebook didn't want you dong that then why do they let you, why do they come up with the post to all groups at once box?
can you please point out then where it says 10 post only, that's very stange for a social media platform like facebook who want you to use their site want you to post thing, would restirct you, where does it say that, give me a link please to facebook help forum, tell mewhere where it says that??? That's what I'm saying above, people seme very quick to point out these therory's, but as soon as i ask where theproof of this is, they say they heard it from someonelse or just a guess. As said i've bene on facebook ten years, never had a prblem till 4 weeks ago, they give you a box to tick all the groups you want to post that post you've jsut made to all in one go, instea dof postng them individualy. Why would they give you this box to tick to all groups at once then mark you as spam, think about it?
My posts are being flagged in all the groups I am part of, including some coaching programs I have paid for. What should I do? It's like being locked up in a hidden room.
If it is all going to the same link the domain might be flagged

Just got a post flagged, but they didn't show me which post got flagged. So how do I know that I posted it? Or how would I know what I did wrong if I don't see the post? What really ticks me off is that they don't have an email address that I can use to contact someone. Or at least provide a Facebook page/account to respond to.
That is hard I know Facebook are working on better notifications but I get it is frustrating
hello Mrs Linda. I wanna ask. So, I originally wrote about 'Gaming industry in Asia' in Facebook Group and i'm not plagiarism to other writer.
When it's been sent to the group, but it doesn't show up. Then I posted again for the second time, and at first my post was successfully published in the group with 5 likes, but a few minutes later my post was taken down, and Facebook notified me that I was indicated as spam.
Even though the first post was not published at all. I sent one more time and still get a notification that I'm spamming.
what i want to ask, how long do I have to wait so that I can post again? is it 7 days? 14 days? or even 30 days? Thank You.
It seems to be bug Facebook is having with groups flagging spam for all sorts of reasons at the moment but your post may not be spam

Hello Mrs Linda thank you so much for your answer. I want to ask again. So, after waiting 3 days, it still happens to the post I made. i'm send from another smartphone, through another account, to the other groups, the posts that i made are still identified as spam :(. then, what should i do? is this actually bug? or is this really a new facebook policy?

I am hearing from admins as well as our team that there is false flagging of comments and posts. Unfortunately all we can do right now is appeal if Facebook give the chance. I am gathering it is a bug with the new admin assist features hopefully Facebook will fix it soon

I see. I hope that this bug problem can be solved, because my intention is to share information and knowledge, not for promotion thing :(. and my 2 posts have been considered spam, i.e 'history of video games industry in asia' and 'history of the entertainment industry in asia'.
Facebook is a place where i share my joys and sorrows and also what i want to share with others. i hope this bug is resolved quickly, because i really want to share the article and write other topics again.

I know this is unrelated but I have to constantly flag public posts being paid to show up in my feed constantly because it’s the only way to get to an option to block the channel completely in some cases. Take videos by ryan stock and his wife and the ones their other 2 friends make for example. You start to get tired of their content or disliked it from the start but they pay so heavily to have their videos everywhere that anytime I’m scrolling through a feed of random videos, they showed up waay too often. The videos have a “see less of these” option but no block option and it doesn’t seem to have an effect on money boosted posts when selected to see less. So i go to the actual public page and still no block option. Only through reporting do I finally get a block option. In some cases depending on the page type, blocking content is a lot easier but for most, this is my method.
+Xeric I think the only option you have is outlined. But I thought blocking pages should be an option on all pages so that sounds like it could be a Facebook glitch at the moment
I'm the administrator for a Women Veteran's Group and my events and posts are ALL being marked as SPAM. I'm posting patriotic and Veteran information that is directly related to Women Veterans of the USA and Facebook considers all my posts as SPAM. This has been going on for over four months now. I actually have done what you suggested in this video. My postings are only going to this one group, they are not the same post over and over again. New content, new wording. Even when I post an event, I use different graphics and different dates and descriptions. The problem is you are using a computer to flag me that can't disguise who or what I'm doing, it's just looking for a post from me to flag. Since this is an old video of yours, I hope you still get notified of this situation that facebook has put me into.

Yeah, and the most fun part is that porn or drug dealers offers are posted on groups and when people report them they are not deleted.

I cross promote with mane groups and I think I may have been marked as spam
Stephen time and changing up the content you share to the groups seems to be the only way.
Share unique content to each group
Slow down on your cross posting
And if all the content is from the same domain maybe stop sharing links to every group as the domain can be flagged by FB as spam if it gets overshared

Sharing different content across groups is not new in FB land they have been saying it for years
As a group admin, the amount of post dumps we get with no introduction or the same post shared multiple times would surprise most.
My tip is try variations in text, images, videos and mix things up
ALL posts I make are called spam. ALL of them. I can post, "hi, whats going on guys?" and its marked as spam .
I have shared similar content...BUT THATS NOT what I am posting NOW..

There seems to be a bug in Facebook at the moment flagging posts as spam that are not hopefully it will sort itself soon we are having to approve alot of posts and comments that are being flagged as admins

Shaddow banned is more of an Instagram thing. Do you mean it cannot be found in search or is it gone completely?
I have been repeatedly flagged as spam for sharing music videos (via You Tube) to music groups. The latest five minutes ago was a song by Sting. The post 7 hours before that was a song by Joni Mitchell. It is ridiculous.
It could be that FB is sensitive on RUclips shares at the moment. Make sure you are adding text
I think the Facebook robots are not well. It has been flagged as advertising. And I always add text e.g. the musicians, songwriter, date of concert etc. Not that the bots can read ..

Hello, thanks for the info. Ok so i cant post on any group since yesterday, when i post, it goes to pending. When i comment on any post of any group it fails. I havent got any message or any sort of warning. Though i used to share posts of my page in a group but only 2-3 of them a day. Now fb has not given me any message about this, whats the solution and how do i get to know when will i be able to post again? tnx

I'm totally distraught here. I was testing keywords and I confess to using a keyword that might have violated fb rules in my website. Even after removing that keyword, fb and instagram still continue to flag my website.
I cant use my website URL on both platforms. Does anyone have any idea what else to do besides contacting support cos I haven't gotten a response from them.
Facebook really needs a competition.
You might need to try debugging the link with the Facebook Debugger. If that does not work you will need to reach out to Facebook and have them review the URL now the violated word is gone. Because it has been blocked sounds like a manual appeal might be needed so a person reviews it

I think this has happened to me. How do I get off this spam list. All of my posts in my groups are now requiring approval. The admins have told me they are going to the spam folder on the group

Yes I believe that is what happened. It was a copy and last of seeds I have for sale onto multiple groups. It was suggested from another admin to not post for a week on any of the groups and it might reset. Suggestions?

Yes that’s exactly what’s happening. The admin are having to approve my posts all of a sudden and they said they are going in the spam section of the group

I really liked this video, only got one question, I have the same link that I share over and over, does facebook flag me as spam because of the link or because I share the same message with the link, or does facebook not allow me to share whatsapp group links.
The link is a job opportunity whatsapp group link but I only shared it to about 10-15 groups in about an hour
How can I share my invitation link without being flagged as spam, can I type like 5 different messages and copy and paste them one after another or is there a certain time period that I should wait
The don't tell us fully what the trigger is but 10-15 times in a hour might have Facebook seeing it as valuable contribution and might trigger spam
What we find Facebook look for is not over sharing the same content or link
Natural conversation that introduces why you are sharing the link etc

The algorithm coders have zero oversight and are flagging way too much as spam. My text content as a group admin is completely original but about half of my posts are flagged as spam and I do NOT copy/paste them from/to elsewhere.

@@LindaReedEnever No links whatsoever. They're censoring silly stuff, really. I had one post censored for 'beat him to the punch' and another for 'knock-down, drag-out fight.' I read their coders are mostly foreigners who don't understand a lot of English idioms so that could be the problem.

Lindesy did they say the post was violent. There are lots of reasons a post can be flagged for a community standards breach it could be a word or image. Did you try to appeal?
This lady is a goof .Memes I share from other groups that are fine are getting marked as spam in mine. I posted our top contributors it got marked as spam. There is no longer an option to request a review all you can do is agree or disagree
Dale it could possibly be a case of oversharing the same image that the Facebook algorithm is picking up without enough time in between or not enough change in the post.
If you are sharing the same meme in multiple places then it is likely triggering the spam algorithm and then your other posts are also being flagged.
Tagging a large group of people can also trigger off the algorithm.
Ps: I maybe a goof in your eyes but name calling people who have created content when you want help might not be the best way to start when you ask in future. As other might choose not to respond to your request after being called names.

OK two other factors to look at
How often are you posting to the group and other places in general is there enough time gap for Facebook (it is unknown what that gap is but think along the lines of the time to type a post, read a few posts and comments then post or comment)
The other thing is with the changes on Facebook at the moment it could be a glitch and you might need to report it as something wrong to Facebook using m.facebook.com/help/1126628984024935
@@LindaReedEnever I own my group I don't post to any other groups. Facebook doesn't give me the option to request a review only agree or disagree.
They have flagged something on your profile by the sounds of it. It could be wording you have used or something outside of the group that is a trigger. All your Facebook posts and interactions add up on the algorithm.
You can still use the report to Facebook option at the top of your group

Tap  in the top right of Facebook.

Scroll to the bottom and select Report a problem.

Select the Facebook product that you're having a problem with.

Describe your problem in the text box, including the steps you took to encounter the issue.

Attach a screenshot (optional).

Tap Submit.
The other option is to reach out to your Facebook Ads account manager if you are running ads and see if they can help via chat.
Either way it is something Facebook has to look into.
There are lots of factors in the algorithm in the meantime I would take a quick read of the community standards and see if your posts are inline with those m.facebook.com/communitystandards
It might be one unintentional word the image might have too much text the could be triggering it.
A report to Facebook will help you if it is a glitch.

Sorry I only just got notified of this comment. Picking your top groups is a good idea. But it can be more than 9 the important thing is making the content you share different for each post
How to unblock the link which has been flagged spam. I knew this later but wants to unblock that.
thanks for reply, actually i posted a youtube video link on many unknown group and timeline so fb blocked my link as spam. so now i can not post that link again on fb. All post has been deleted automatically from timeline...I want to know how to unblock that links..

absolutely useless video - the answer to having your posts mistakenly flagged as spam is to not post, post less often, change your post content? ridiculous
Over posting the same content, the same link or two fast all trigger the algorithm for spam.
It is Facebooks policy and even advice that you don't do the above
