Some criticism: I'm only 3 minutes in and my head hurts from the video editing. You don't need moving transitions every 0.5 seconds in long form content. I needed to scroll down and just listen to the audio continue.
Loving your content and did some binge watching today - super micro learning - solid strategies, simple and straightforward steps, and authentic presentation. I’m starting my solo coaching and content biz in the new year.
Starting from scratch on LinkedIn can be daunting, but your insights are super helpful! Your step-by-step plan is just what I needed to kickstart my LinkedIn journey. I appreciate your honesty and practical tips.
Sooo.. I’ve watched a ton of “gurus” and have even paid for courses on how to use LinkedIn. But this single 12 min video taught me more than all of them. Dude.. hearts. Fantastic post and incredibly valuable information. I will be doing all of this 🗣️ TODAY!!
It's really encouraging to see my rag tag ideas of building a LI strategy was similar to someone as successful as you! Thanks for posting this. I'm going to implement some tweaks that you mentioned here and take the next steps in my business. Thanks!
Great advice and very well thought out and edited video Alex. I like that there weren"t distracting captions on this since it was 12 minutes long. You're going to grow so fast on RUclips. I've already shared this video in an entrepreneurial forum.
I really appreciate you…seriously! It means alot to me. Putting alot of effort into these and its nice to know people are watching, getting value, and sharing! ❤️
Such a powerful strategy! Love the clarity on combining short-term wins with long-term brand-building. The Core 4 strategy is gold for anyone starting from zero on LinkedIn. I also appreciate the emphasis on authenticity and how personal stories can really drive results. Video content, especially short and educational, really does build trust fast! Can’t wait to implement some of these tips into my own approach.
Hi Alex! You deliver a lot of value in this video, thank you very much. I have a question. What type of personalized video do you send by DM. A video offering your services or giving them some advice about x?
You nailed this and I agree with you . I was so behind on linkedIn for a very long time. I just created a business page few days ago and I have shared a video content with a post. I am not good at posting daily even on other platforms so I will stick to one post weekly for the sakevof consistency until I have more time to create more content.
Great video. I’ve been trying to post and have gotten some leads off it so far. I need to learn how to do the editing and getting better pictures on there. I’m at the mercy of my work computer and cell phone without any good software.
I thought this video was very informative. I've been using LinkedIn as a resource to connect with professionals for years, but only recently started using it as an entrepreneur. Some of these things I have done, but I have never been consistent enough to get results that I desired, and I didn't have the right outcome focus in mind. Thanks for providing more guidance Alex!
Good info, Alex, thank you. Any chance you have samples of some of those video DMs you spoke so highly of? Would be great to see the vibe, style, approach
Just to clarify, you filter by those who are active on LinkedIn, then engage with their content (before sending them anything), then send a Connection invitation? Is that a one day process or do you engage with their content a few days and then send a connection request? Or do you send your 100 connection requests a week and only engage with the ones who accept your request? That part was kind of fast so I wanted to clarify. As someone newer to LinkedIn this was the most helpful video I have seen. Thank you!
Yes to answer your question. And theres alot of dif ways to go about it. Def could be once a week, could be multiple times engaging then dming. Just depends on your customer
Great video, great tips! Thank you. A question: How come people like Dan Koe and Justin Welsh almost never post video content, but they are still able to get so much traction and engagement?
You dont have to post videos on linkedin to get engagement. I do picture, text and video. All work. It all depends on your goals, strategy, etc. text doesnt build deep level relationship w audience IMO and doesnt translate to most modern platforms (YT, titkok, insta, etc). Great questions!
Hi Alex, this was such a great video! Sometimes the rabbit hole gets you exactly what you were looking for. Video DMs are something I never even considered, do you have a video on that topic?

Fantastic Alex - found great value in your video - played and truly listened. Why? because I've been 'messing' & 'missing' opportunities with LinkedIn for far too long. I'm on a journey to "do it right, do it the right way - and get it right'. Hope to hear from you - intend searching for you on LinkedIn too
Good video! I shared it with a friend who is starting his own business. Any ideas for the ones of us who want to use the platform for networking instead?
Awesome ideas. I'm just not sure who to "interact" with on Linkedin if I'm a Coach for men who lack confidence. Would that be follow and comment on other Coaches on Linkedin? Thanks!
So, should we have a single LinkedIn personal page that also promotes our business? Or a separate one for personal and business? Great videos by the way!
Hey Alex, loved the video - I love the idea of video DM's but obviously they do require the connection first. I wonder if you might share an example of the kind of message you use to get that connection - from what you're saying it sounds like you probably reference their content and maybe offer up a content piece of your own? Thanks man - keep up the good work, that was a great vid!
Ah nice shout - so really think of the first outreach step being the comments without being weird and annnoying! :) Relies on them being active of course but I guess that in itself is a good filter.@@impaxsmarketing
Great video! I have a personal LinkedIn profile but I have launched my own business which has a different name. Do you advise creating a new profile for the business or convert my existing personal profile to my business name? Many thanks,
I agree, but clearly a lot of commenters liked it. At the end of the day, if Alex likes his style and it works for his audience, he should go with it, even if you and I think he could have saved about half his editing time :-)
Game changing content. Thank you! Question- What if you are building a brand not connected to your name. How do you go deep and get super personal with prospects in content without showing your face and representing a brand?
@@impaxsmarketing thank you for ur reply! What led you to think Linkedin is not va viable platform besides not being to search for my clients? What about IG & Twitter?
Great overview as ever Alex. One question - when you want to keep updated about prospects future posts, what do you find the most effective method? I can click on everyone's notifications bell but I don't aways seem to get notified about new posts consistently. If I save them as a lead in Sales Navigator, is that the safest bet? Of course I could go old-school and just save the link to each contact's 'recent post' feed (so they don't get pinged with my profile views) - but that feels a bit of an archaic way of manually checking up which I might not always have time for!
Great question! Yes, sales navigator would be the best bet for organizing all of your leads and it even creates a mini newsfeed of the leads for you :). Other than that, good ole fashion excel works too lol
@@impaxsmarketing yep, saw the news feed. Super helpful but something I think I need to curate a bit as I initially saved a TON of leads on there by default. Need to prune it down to the truly active ones. Thanks so much!
It sounds good, but creating free content and setting up your website, landing page calls to action, articles that people will read, authentic pictures, and testimonials take time and money. Do you have tips on beginning when you have a brand new idea, how much it'll cost, and how much time you need to create a profile that, at the very least, has a good foundation and converts? Still, a video on it would be well-received by many.
