  • It prints, scans, copies, and even faxes. Although there was a CD in the box, I did not have to install any software, register my email, or create an account to make it work. That's a good thing, but are the cartridges locked down by the Empire?

Enjoyed the video. My issue is, I can't seem to figure out how to print a picture from my laptop. It keeps changing my paper size back to letter size.

Just a heads up - I bought my WF-4833 brand new and only used it extremely sparingly (almost entirely basic text, only sixteen 4x6 photos), but it has the most expensive replacement cartridges of all the Epson printers I've had over the last 30 years. Now today - just two years since buying it brand new at full retail ($140) - the magenta head is suddenly defective and it is out of warranty (one year mfg warranty). According to the print counter history, it only printed a total of 1, 980 pages in its entire two year lifetime. 1,117 B&W and 863 color prints. This thing had the shortest usable lifespan of any printer I have ever owned and it was not inexpensive. Considering how much ink it drinks and its horrible short lifespan I'm considering leaving the Epson family of printers. PS: That so called page count per cartridge - that's absurd. I had to buy new cartridges (at outrageously high prices) dozens of times - and you saw my total page count over it's short lifespan 1,117 B&W and 863 color. I'd throw this thing off a cliff if there was one near me.

Thanks for the heads up and comment. Nothing about what these printer manufacturers are doing inspires me to be loyal to their brands. My black and white HP Laserjet 1102W that's probably over 10 years old is still working great, not sure what to try next when that or the new Epson dies. (But I have read Brother might be good and less intrusive...)
