How do you switch between cassette trays? Is there a setting on the computer or the printer?

Did you have any problems with the scanner on the printer recognising your computer? I have just bought the WF-4835 and while I can scan from both my Dell Desktop computer and my Lenovo laptop computer, I can't scan from the printer to either computer as they don't show up on the printer. I have checked and apparently I have the latest drivers so I have no clue what the problem is.
This is driving me nuts so any advice would be appreciated.
