Looks great! I have been doing boat interior and canvas work on the side for about a year. I want to do some work on a few of my car projects. Thank you for taking the time to put the videos together they are a big help.
I like your style and your work... your way of doing panels with the type of material you use seems much more easier for a 1rst timer.. i really appreciate your knowledge and you sharing what you have learn and taking the easy steps... i have a couple of questions like what did you use for the top arm rest after stripping it and where did you get the 8 inch foam from...
Arthur Whitfield Hey sorry I missed your comment, it didn't show up on my google box. Thank you and yes it pretty basic as I have only started doing the fiberglass work over the last few years. I really don't like doing it, because of the time involved. I got busy and forgot to record about the armrests, but I just used a 1/4 MDF wood screwed to the metal foundation, then used two layers of the 1/8" landau foam for padding, then covered them the same way they were before. I do try and share what I learn in life as I think we all should because it helps us grow and learn as a race together. Thanks for the view and comment, I get my material from Albright supplies 1-800-647-8171
Hey Mr Matt.. i have a quick question. .. looking back on these videos of making the door panels for the monte carlo.. when did you insert the little white pieces to attach the door panel back on the door.. you made the wholes but which part did you insert them on the panel after the foaming in the back or after the vinyl in the back...
hey matt u do some dope work. i do upholstery my self. doing it for about 2 yrs. i wanna know how you get your seats to lay wrinkle free. i would really would like to see how you do that.
Patrice Geffrard Thank you, and for your question, make sure the pattern and sewing is good and to keep each section full, I add a sew foam backing 1/2 or 3/8" to the inserts/tops faces and 1/4" foam to the sides and backs of the seats. hope that helps and I plan on showing more about how to do this stuff in the future, thanks for watching!
REYSHAUNTOPPS1 Nashville TN. and I work on all types of cars, this job was $425 each front panels and $375 each rear panel. My basic door panels start at $125 each though.
REYSHAUNTOPPS1 Nashville tn, and I've worked on a lot of different cars the 20 years I been doing this. door panels can range from 150 each and up, these were about 300-400 each because of the rebuilding and fiberglass work, thanks for watching!

At 15:00 I’m looking at the chrome piece that goes across the top. Do I have to take that window thing with the felt on it off to wrap vinyl around to the back? I’m building some door panels from scratch with wood and I’m having a hard time blending the wood in with it. I have a half inch piece of wood going across the top and I don’t know how to blend it in.
@@papergatorzfedducca7998 someone must have removed them before? I use pop rivets too, just drill them out. I'm guessing them used 1/8th rivets? If so use 1/8th drill bit to remove them👍
