Reinstalling the filter cover is the hardest part. I've replaced the filter several times without removing the glove box, but I hate where the filter is placed. I know Nissan designed it there to discourage owners DIY and making them to bring in to a dealer for replacement, it's all about money.
Good video.
Thank you for informing us!
Michael Flores makes no sense trying to do it without taking out the 6 torx and removing the box. First time I ever did one of these today and I was done in like 15. Now that I know what it takes, will only take 5 mins. Unless of course you're like this guy using hand powered tools. Nobody does that. Get a 1/4 hex driver with skip clutch for limiting the power to like 25 inchlbs for dash work. It's either you do that.... Or you will suck.
Next gen Nissan Murano: to replace cabin filter, remove engine..
What year is your Murano?
Lol 😂 It’s so dump the location for replacement
Thank you very much. If it wasn't because of this video I would've probably ended up taking my murano to the dealership.
It is extremely hard to replace. I think they they do that to discourage people and pay for replacement, but im not gonna give them the satisfaction.
You're welcome and way to go on changing your own cabin air filter.
Make sure you check the screw type before you start. Mine was a special star lock nut on the 2011 murano.
Thank you for informing us!
I followed the above procedure and could not remove the glove compartment. Apparently, there is something else holding it in, besides the eight torx screws and two pawls.
What is the make, model and year of your vehicle?
My vehicle is a 2010 Nissan Murano SL. It appears to be identical to the 2011 in your video.
Yeah the installation should be identical as the 2011. At the 1:21 mark in the video the person removing the glove box pulls on a panel to the right of the glove box to release the glove box. This is probably what is holding your glove box and keeping it from being removed.
The panel on the right was the first thing I removed. After removing all eight torx screws, I also pried out the two pawls hidden by the panel.
we had a 2011 murano in our shop for this. No cabin filter. 3 techs looked for it , then we found this video. Our car was not like this. We had tons of insulation behind the box. we cut it and still didnt find a location for this filter.
That is odd, our data doesn't state this one had the option without the cabin air filter.
Buen video gracias, me imaginó que para murano 2022 está en el mismo lugar
¡de nada!
Thanks. Great video
You're welcome!
Thanks
You're welcome!
instructions not clear at all, i'm looking at my murano and it is not where you imply it is.
This is for the Nissan Murano 2009-2014.
