I grew up in Hindu family and I have been following Sikhism since I was 14, i had organized path at my home and my parents never objected it for once. I listen to it every day and its been more than couple of decades. This is so unfair to stop interfaith wedding!!
Sikhism is so pristine that everyone who gets connected with it in any ways would only fall in love with it and follow!

The thing is there is no problem with any two individuals getting married in sikhi.
The problem lies in that an anand karaj is a very precise ceremony where two people who believe in the gurus teaching are going through a process and a promise to engage in a three way relationship with god and carry out their lives in such a way to respect that relationships. So an anand karaj is a very precious thing. To have an anand karaj between two people that don’t believe in the words of the guru doesn’t make sense. It’s making the anand karaj a cultural thing rather than a religious thing.
There is nothing stopping a Sikh marrying a non Sikh in a court of law and doing a path and engaging in gurdwara activities like listening to Kirtan and appreciating it, there is something disrespectful for two people to engage in a ceremony where they explicitly promise to live their lives in a certain way and then do not even attempt to live by that standard at all.
Although it is wrong to react to this problem violently. The best way to deal with non Sikh people having an anand karaj is by educating them what an anand karaj explicitly is, what they are committing to and asking them if they truly believe they can lead that life. Because otherwise what’s the problem with two Christian’s having an anand karaj if there’s no problem with two people having an anand karaj but one of them is not a Sikh.

Jagraj's point of view was perfectly correct. He explained it clearly. What is his brother trying to say " I want to understand".
Do u expect a non Muslim guy getting married in Mosque? Why things change when it comes to Sikhs?
A sikh can Marry anyone. However, as it is not approved by the Guru, so you cannot do marriage in Gurudwara.
The Anand Karaj is a religious ceremony between Sikhs. Where is the confusion? If u wanna get married to a non sikh, just do a court marriage, why u want to do Anand Karaj in a gurudwara?

This seems more like a conversation between the community, since obviously some of your brothers and sisters disagree with you on that bit. I think the reason for this documentary to even happen is because of the surprise by those outside of the community over the violence. Religious offense can't justify physical aggression. Not in a civilized society.

Jagraj was an angel sent by God to renew Sikhi Spiritual Journey of the Faith of Sikhism. Intermarriage between Sikh man and non Sikh woman is readily accepted but not vice versa because of the narrative of the dilution of the Sikhi Values. However, all humanity are the children of Adam, and since Jagraj correctly believed that Sikhi the purest of God's message to mankind, it would be fair to say that anyone should be allowed to intermarry as long as they are marrying for Sikhi Values & not material desires. Sikhs believe according to their last Guru Gobind Singh that there would be no more Gurus and that the Guru Granth Saheb was the final message and would continue to remain their Guru till the day of Judgement in printed guidance, it begs the question what if there were alternate beliefs who believe that Divine guidance must always continue to manifest in human personality to guide the believer to time relevant issues

I am not in support of interfaith Anand Kaaraj , not interfaith marriages in Sikhi ; the motive of the disruptions was absolutely correct , but perhaps the way was not . As for the Vaisakhi thing , Sikhi doesn't say that other religions can't celebrate Vaisakhi ..... Vaisakhi was traditionally a panjabi cultural festival to celebrate the harvest of crops that every panjabi , regardless of the religion celebrated with joy and enthusiasm , something which shouldn't cease to continue . The thing is that , fr Sikhs it is much more than a festival , it was the day our fraternity was given its full shape i.e. KHASA SIRJANA DIVAS something which Sikhs should celebrate with even more significance than Vaisakhi as Bhai Jagraj Singh continuously use to say .
WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGRU JI KI FATEH !

In Sikhism, individuals of any faith can marry, but there are certain principles to adhere to, Sikhism prohibits the consumption of alcohol and tobacco. Therefore, if someone marries a Sikh boy or girl, they are expected to refrain from these substances. This expectation often leads to the notion that consuming Amrit (Amrit initiation) is necessary for the Sikh marriage ceremony. This belief stems from Sikh teachings emphasizing the importance of following a code of conduct and the ethical principles laid out in the faith.
Note: Khalsa is pure and free from all bad things

Sukhmani put it very eloquently when she said Sikhi is ultimately a lived experience and can’t be grasped by mere rational arguments as it’s clearly deeper than that: “It’s not logical, it’s psychological”: in fact, it’s way deeper than that, it’s spiritual. Rational, you can prove within the pre-defined maxims/axioms of logic , however, spiritual lived experience can’t be rationally proved: it’s like trying to put a square within circle. Just because something can’t be proved doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist. Hence, many mistakenly treat these extra-rational experiences as irrational. While the former encompasses logic but not necessarily confined by it, the latter violates it while being confined to its boundaries. Losing one’s ego before the Divine is the ultimate test for a Sikh. Now tell me is this is a logical exercise or a spiritual exercise? And it can’t be obtained without the grace, in the form of Faith, of the Guru.

. Muslims ask other faiths to convert before they marry a muslim
when you get married in a church your asked, if you come to church and believe in there faith
So why is it wrong for the sikhs to ask the same questions?
Why is it wrong that we ask the couple getting married in gurdwara in front of the guru granth sahib
do you believe, understand respect guru granth sahib. Ji and Sikhi
