    I also feel that in the Sikh Community we do not ever teach our children to be strong like other communities do for example I remember they used to talk about teaching Gatka to the local Gurdwara and right away I remember hearing nothing but negative things about it such as it will get in the way of their studies and such to the point they decided to disband it. This is why Punjabis have stereotypes of alcoholics and being narrow minded. I do not see Sikhs caring to change like this brave warrior in this video. May Waheguru always keep you and your family in Chardi Kala.

    We should have Gurudwaras that deal with alcohol and drug detox. That's the biggest issue in our community. So many good people fall into that hole. If someone were to set this place up I would love to bring my skills and help. Having a background in the NHS and an interest in nutrition, I could bring allot of value to a project like this. We need to come together and built and fund things like this. I would request like minded Sikhs to come together for the future of the Sikh panth. Maybe let's start a dialogue within this comment section?

      I'm a former alcoholic and I agree nutrition and healthy real food helps detox addict. So many Punjabis are alcoholics behind closed doors and the children suffer their whole lives and some repeat the cycle it's horrible.

    Jagraj paji, you MUST travel to Kenya and visit Gurudwara Makindu Sahib if at all possible. A true remnant of what Gurudwara should be.

    Sikhs should REMOVE those ego promoting castes from their names and start using guru given "Singh" and "kaur" to promote equality among Sikhs and MOST IMPORTATLY stop glorifying and promoting these castes especially JATTS from punjabi songs and movies.

    Thank you Veerji for all your Seva that you do! I wish Gurdwaras will listen to this and incorporate all these things. I would love to learn gatka. The only time I felt like I was absorbing the 'Russ of the bani was when I went to Virsa retreat camp. I felt so calm after that camp. I Had a feeling that I never knew existed. I was so calm the following weeks but the Gurdwara I go to, don't give me the same affect

    It’s people that we’re trying to figure out. Instead of examining the people, let us examine the rules that they follow. You wouldn’t stare at the driver in the next lane at the traffic lights. You’d be staring at the lights. Most people are subconsciously told what to do by applications on their phone, including social media platforms. And so if we target their phones through a common interface, maybe we can influence a lot of people to instigate a large amount of change.

    Absolutely, 10000% agree about training and around development at the Gurdwara.... Infact it should be made compulsory even at Mandir's! Shastraas without Shastra, and vice versa is useless. Sat shri Akaal🙏

    • @Ryan-jk5xn
      @Ryan-jk5xn 5 лет назад

      See this just shows caste is not a religious issue. Its a cultural one. Neither Hinduism nor Sikhism has a caste system its Indian society with the caste system.

    • @Ryan-jk5xn

      @mayonnaisemessier63 caste isn't mentioned in either of those text. Varna and caste are different systems. But yes Hinduism does have a varna system.

    They have created this two tier system we are the real sikhs and anyone else who hasn't taken amrit is ashudh sikhs lesser low sikhs. This system is the same mindset of the Brahmin mindset. The amrit sanchar is a personal decision u cnt force it on sikhs to become singhs.

      The place to find sikhi is harmandir sahib ,the reason why politics is unpredictable is bcoz there is no concentrated Sikh politics so everyone has its own say hence there is no where where all intellectual minds of Sikh gather and take decisions
