Not coming out whatsoever. Got a super cheap soldering kit to the solder sucker is ass. Any tips would be appreciated I am 2/3rds of the way done.

    • @FIXDPHONES
      @FIXDPHONES  Год назад +1

      The thermal mass of the logic board pulls heat away quickly. A decent soldering iron paired with good flux, wick and possibly some hot air from a rework station will be enough to keep that section of the board hot enough for long enough to remove all solder.(also adding some lower melting point solder and having it mix with the lead free factory solder will bring down the temperature the board needs to have the flux absorb all the solder)

      Eventually it becomes easier, but it’s still the same work each time lol

      I was about to give up after buying the tools and part. The flux was something that I forgot about but I just finished it

      After a few hundred times I’d hope I’d make it look easy. Don’t expect it to go this smooth if you haven’t soldered anything before lol

      Be patient and just don't rip any of the pads...I ended up using my man's butane soldering iron and was surprised how much faster his was compared to my 200$ electric soldering iron...also I used to heat gun ones on top and one mounted under my workbench to get it got on both sides evenly...helped alot and wish ide found that advice before spending hours nearly in tears not able to get it melted down
