    One of the best songs ever!! My brother in-law died April 23rd 2004. He loved The Who and Roger Daltrey. After he died this song was a real comfort to me:) his name was Joe. He's in Heaven now..11 years ago today..

      Beautiful song. Glad it brings you comfort, Danny Boy. Certain songs remind me of close friends/family who've passed also. Roger solo has a lot songs like this, even though Pete gets most of the credit (I'm a fan of Roger, Pete, and John's solo projects....not so much the one Keith album, lol). All the best

    This song works on so many levels. When I'm sad I need to hear Murray's version, but when I'm angry there's no substitute for Roger's rendition.

      Murray Head's whole album "Say it ain't so" is one of the greatest ignored masterpieces of music. I love Roger but even his version pales to Murray Head's original. Where in the hell does this clip come from? Moon, Roger and Entwhistle but no Pete?

    I got hip to this song on a mix tape from brother who was in the Army! He was gone a lot and left this tape behind so it had Vanhalen the doors and this song by Rodger Daultry came on and thought it was the WHO and after some research I found out most of them helped out by playing for this track!!! After loosing my bro to cancer and cov I now see why he put that song on his mix tape!!! The resolve he had and determine smile!!! P.S. I have been playing drums since I was young playing with paper coat hangers on old bar stools listening to various artists and then one one day I was inspired by Keith Moon in a poster I bought and the many tapes and albums and cd's!!!!!!! I still play ! If you get in a rutt remember say it ain't so and the WHO WITH KEITH MOON DRIVING THE BAND!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS RODGER!!!!!!!!P.S. I do have a set of Premier Drums!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Oh my God thank you so much for posting this! I thought I had seen every who and solo who related video from the 60s through the 70s and 80s and I loved this song so deeply since I was a kid in the early 80s that to discover a promo video, for it just made me so happy just now.     I am here because of "Snowpiercer," it introduced me to this song for the first time EVER two days ago, and it has been haunting my mind ever since, as the first thing in my head when I woke up the past two mornings. (*Just had to come and find it. Thank you RUclips*)

    Thanks for the time and effort you put in to restoring and sharing this video with us. Saw The Who recently at the RAH for the Teenage Cancer Trust fund raiser. Daltrey had just turned 80 and was in magnificent form. I was also fortunate to see Roger's live solo concert at the Palladium a couple of years ago where he sang this wonderful song with a stellar band supporting him. Roger keeps threatening to quit live performing. If he does, the music world will be a much poorer place.

    Daltrey had the most powerful voice, not in pitch or volume, but it was like a hammer blow to the emotions far and above all those heavy metal and rock vocalists who all followed The Who who were essentially the template for that whole genre of music anyway.

      I like the quiet middle section on Mr Head's original, builds musically and volumatically to an intense crescendo. This is a nice version and a bit different.

      The Who greatest rock band ever. Great Daltry song. Seen The Who in 77 in Detroit at 2500 seat Masonic Temple Best concert I've seen. Townsend slid across stage on his knees. This was the concert right before Cincinnati tragedy. They sold out 82,000 at the Silverdome next.

    One of those great songs that Rog found that suits his voice perfectly. Like it was written for him. Without Your Love is another. (What a great set of people in this video, such talent on one stage!)

    roger daltrey and the who, still got it.I saw the who, on jimmy fallon show, a couple of weeks ago.It was magnificent...I wish the late shows, would put, the older groups, singers on there shows...From rock, seventies, jazz, country etc.....

    The Ox, Moonie, and Ian McCullough (guitar player in the video, who was in Wings with McCartney and Laine) are all no longer with us today. RIP to those three!! awesome song!

    Thanks Leo. Well done. I just discovered this song. I'm a long time Who and Roger fan, and am here to support Murray, as there are only a few of us Murrays around.
