The way I interpret the guitar playing being viewed as a moral thing is that it ties to the intangible values of art and culture. Playing instruments has no survival value but it is something creative that humans do, by playing music you show you're going beyond just your animal instincts.
    Maybe.

Hi Archengeia. I just want to say, "Thanks," for continuing to upload videos. I've only gotten back into watching your stuff recently, but there's something confident and reassuring about your descriptions and explanations. There's a fortitude in how you speak that is something I wish to strive for in my daily life. I've recently been going through some rough times and your videos have helped me cope with it all in a strange way. Best of luck to you in the future.

Even if you don't do a rumination on Last Light I hope you find the time to play through it before tackling Exodus.

No Spoilers, but Metro: Last Light explains how Artyom can communicate with the Dark Ones

34:00 On the point of Artyom not being powerful but lucky this is true he is for the most part lucky to be alive after the story but not entirely. You see in the novel and in the game Artyom is not chosen by Hunter without reason, the game makes it seem much more like he game Artyom his mission because he just so happened to be standing right there, but in reality Artyom has a few things going for him a few of which are very publicly visible. Aside from all the Dark Ones adopting him and aiding him and him as such being more resistant to their effects, all of which you covered, Artyom is said to be something of a marksman not so super Olympic athlete type, like say Ana in Last Light, but good enough to where Hunter could trust him to keep himself alive long enough to make it to Polis.

kh-ah-l-ah-sch with stress on the second ah and non-soft la pronounciation as opposed to a french way of saying "la", so it's more like in "large" rather than "fuselage" (wich is french anyway obv)

When you say we're going to be playing Exodus, do you mean a premier run?

Having read the books I prefer the games, though I still enjoy the books. While D6 and the librarians are terrifying I find the spider bugs to be worse. In both games I tend to rush through their sections. I will probably do the same in exodus because of course they will be in the damn game!

Fun fact. The sequel doesn't take into account what you do in the previous games. No save game transfer. It's not a Bioware Game.

I thought demons came from bats because almost every mutant in the game comes from small animals with fast reproduction

Regarding main character and dark ones, it's indeed a "chosen one" scenario. A little backstory:
When Artyom was a kid, he and a couple of his friends managed to slip to the dark ones nest in the Botanical garden and open the blast doors. Others chickened out, so to the surface Artyom went alone.
Then he was attacked by feral dogs and a dark one saved him, then pacified him by showing a vision of Artyom's long gone mother (the reason why the protag went exploring the garden, it's the place where he was with his mother when the bombs hit) and communicating "You're not alone; you're the first [to make contact]". Artyom left the nest not understanding what just happened and returned to his friends. When they tried and failed to close the rusted blast doors, Artyom shrugged "Ah, whatever!" and so the passage was now left open for the dark ones to the rest of the metro.
    Cue metro 2033 years later.
    Great rumination, Lore!

It is not actually a morality system, it is an exploration and theme system. It is about how well Artyom learns the main themes of the game's story.
You should read the books. They are superior to the games.
