3:25 wait what? The S-tronic being jerky at low speeds? Ive owned my 2016 A6 for a few months now and I've never felt that the gearbox is jerking at low speeds.
johnny g it is kind of hard, but it isn't uncomfortable hard. I do have the S-line chassis and s-line suspension and it rides smooth on the B roads and the highway, here in Sweden that is. I could imagine going without the S-line suspension and still be happy with it. But the thing about transmission, it's all about how you use your foot. The gas pedal is "accelerate sensitive", that means if press quickly but only to let's say 30% of the gas, it will go really quick to that speed with low gear. If you feed the gas pedal slower to the 30%, it goes pretty much quick but with higher gears. The car kind of knows what you want by knowing how you control your foot. If you feed the gas pedal slowly when already going it won't kick down, if you do it quickly it will kick down a gear
+xBuzz996 Oh right- thanks for your input! I've always been with Bmw over the last 15 yrs of driving, but always liked Audi. Never knew the S line suspension was different to SE- thanks for the tip. I'm guessing that's the equivalent of bm's SE/ M sport suspension. Because when I had an SE it drove like rubbish but the M sport was much better. Personally I care more about how a car handles than its power. In terms of reliability- how has your Audi's been over the years? Thanks
johnny g Had an Audi A6 from 1999, bought it 2003 and have worked perfect since then. The electronics never failed. I did have some problem with the rear right brake disc, it was kind of leaning against the brake pads so when you drove it, it came a lot of brake dust onto the wheel it self. Then I sold it and bought my currently 2016 Audi A6, picked it up from the store in february so i haven't had it for years, just for months. Worked perfect since then. Though it's not that much in a 2.0 190bhp front wheel drive car, get the 3.0 Quattro if you have the money, if not get a used one, it's so worth the money and they don't depreciate as much as the smaller engines. I don't know where you live, but the best for your money would be the 2.0 TFSI 252bhp with quattro and the 7 speed S-tronic. I wish there were a lot more petrol cars in Sweden, all of them are diesels. So in terms of reliability, Audi has really been good in my experience at least.
I’ve had my 2017 A6 competition s-line since new. Best daily driver I’ve ever owned. Quiet inside, power when you need it, interior quality fantastic. Regular maintenance only. I plan on keeping it til 2023 - 2025.

Sold my protuned 2013 WRX STI sedan and got a 2012 A6 3.0T, then got a stg2 APR tune and parts on it. It's at 460hp and 480-490 tq on 94 gas.
