In the books, it was called the Rainbow guard, each member wore one color and that color only, except for the Lord Commander, Loras Tyrell, who wore a rainbow cape. Brienne was the Blue Knight. The Tyrells were fine with Loras being a kingsguard in books since he has an older brother they cut from the show, Garlan Tyrell, who's said to be an even better swordsman and a clever leader. Loras later gets named to the kingsguard of Tommen Baratheon.
There's two older brothers. The oldest is Willas Tyrell who from what we've read is a genuinely good guy. Eddard had planned to marry Sansa to him before Robert suggested Joffrey. Willas used to be a good knight but had his leg broken when jousting Oberyn Martell and it never healed properly. However, despite the Martells and Tyrells having generations of distrust for each other, him and Oberyn are pals and he forgave Oberyn for what happened.
They could not have found a better actress than Gwendoline Christie for Brienne if they searched for 50 generations with the ability to transport someone from the past or future. It seems so effortless for her, as if she IS Brienne, body and soul.

Hell, in the books, Brienne herself admits that Jaime almost killed her, and she literally cannot imagine how monstrously dangerous Jaime would be at full force.

Last few seasons are shit and basically insult the entirety of the show. But the first 4-5? seasons were pretty good. I do wish there was less pervy pandering though and focus on the story. They went a lil too into the constant "eye candy" for men to stay interested, when the story was enough.

Look we all know the writing of this show and story has the same flaws of any major writer, when you write such massive stories, theres gonna be hiccups....namely.... writing yourself out of a hole lol The show realized oh crud...theres too many good guys, the bad guys could actually lose, we need to turn the good guys greedy and make em mess up lol
