I’m 22 & have lived in Yuma all my life & haven’t really done any of the things you guys did in just 1 day! Definitely encouraged me to check out more of our local coffee shops & visit the prison & art center. Thank you for posting this! Yuma is growing pretty fast so hopefully we get to see an updated video in the near future. :)
I was born and raised in Yuma. I love our town. Yeah, summers are hot and unbearable, but winters and spring are beautiful. I’m been here for 41 years and I don’t ever want to leave
Awesome video! I'm a 27 year resident of Yuma. It's hard to believe, but as little as 15 years ago, Yuma was nowhere close to looking like how it is today; the Downtown area was dead, the riverfront was vacant and overgrown with non-native brush, and the abundance of outdoor activities in the city were quite limited. However, the city has since made dramatic improvements and has completely won over many people, including me. Growing up, I used to hate Downtown Yuma, and I didn't care too much about the area. Today, the city has stolen my heart, and I don't plan on leaving. We'd love to see you two back here again soon! Just wait until it isn't 110+ degrees outside, though.
Comments like this are exactly why we love choosing to visit places like this! The people are so incredibly friendly and truly care about their towns. We live in San Diego and while it is a beautiful city, there isn't really that sense of community that Yuma has. You have a beautiful home! -G
@@JackandGabExplore Thanks for the kind words! I'm actually in the San Diego area quite frequently; I had a blast strolling the Gaslamp District and Seaport Village a couple weeks ago. I also have to stop by The Yogurt Mill in El Cajon every time I'm in the San Diego area; best frozen yogurt, ever.
Hello people ! Thank you very much for this video. My son is working in Yuma, AZ these days and through you, I got to know a little of this city. I wish you success and great health. God bless you.
I wasn't born or raised in Yuma all my life and am only convinced it is a great place about the time that half the country is froze up but people wearing sweat shirts there in Yuma. Getting 80% discounted dental work on the other side is a fine memory. Best sound of a dentist drilling on a back molar you can ever hear from around there. Many people with perfect teeth smiling bright in Yuma. RVer mecca.
I moved here right around the time you left. Things have changed A LOT here. Downtown is currently experiencing a renaissance in business and activity with Main Street once again running through it, compared to how it used to be with that unsightly pedestrian mall that was once there. The Territorial Prison and Colorado River State Park (formerly known as the Quartermaster Depot) were revitalized and renovated about 10 years ago, and business is now booming at both places. The riverfront, which was once littered with trash and hobo camps, has undergone more than $50 million in improvements, and is now a wonderful place to take nature walks, fish, spend a day swimming, and more. That's but a small taste on how much Yuma has changed since you left.
Arizona is a shithole. And the weather sucks out there especially in the summer higher risk of developing skin cancer because how hot it is and you can easily get sunburned smh...
@@jamesstaley5611 I went in June and July a few years back. As long as you have AC in the car and house its cool! Had the most fun in years in the 110° summer weather! The dry heat isn't at all like humid heat! Its bearable! Cant wait to experience year round warmth that the snow birds flock to Yuma for in the winter months! 💯
@@shastina5493 Yuma is nice from October - April :) However I was stationed at Yuma Proving Ground, and being in the army we spent most of our time outside in the HEAT. Also our fatigue uniforms, which we wore when we were in the field, was heavy cloth and long sleeved and dark colored. One thing to be careful of is with the low humidity you don't realize is how much water you are losing. When we came back to the barracks our tee shirts would be stuck to us with all the salt we lost while being outside. You just did not realize how dehydrated you got.
It is a crying shame that these two broke up. They seemed so happy together, but I guess you never know. unfortunately, they stopped traveling due to the COVID and she began her own channel and it was unbearable to watch because she seems so unhappy now and I really feel for her. Ive lived in Yuma my whole life and im starting my freshman year in high school. Cool seeing people visiting it. I can say, Yuma and our local gov can be idiots, and so can the citizens. But for the most part, great little city in AZ that im glad people enjoy!

Liked the park under the bridge where the Colorado river flows! The local Indian reservation there put on one of the best 4th of July shows I've ever experienced! Thinking of moving there as the economy is still reasonable there! 👍💯
Man can’t be in Yuma and not hit the Mexican restaurants bro honestly y’all need to go to 8th street to juanitas and get the best shrimp tacos you’ll ever have!
I had the misfortune of living in yuma. You can candy coat it all you want but it's not so great, meth is everywhere and 95% of the town is addicted, the heat is almost unbearable in the summer and it can actually make it hard to breathe, downtown is not as friendly with everyone as they were with you, they smelled your money from a mile away. I don't regret leaving and I have no intention of going back.
Does Yuma have methheads? Sure, but what city doesn't nowadays? To say that 95% of Yumans are addicted to it is a bunch of crap. If you think Yuma has a meth problem, you evidently have not been to Kingman. Is Yuma hot in the summer? Yes. Because the city is in the desert! However, I'll take the heat here compared to Phoenix, which is a jungle of concrete and asphalt, not to mention the smog. If you couldn't breathe here, you wouldn't last a second in Phoenix. To say that Downtown isn't friendly is also a bunch of BS. I can't tell you how many times I've been there, and I've had nothing but good experiences. I'm a 27 year resident of this city. Chances are you didn't grow up here, if you have such disdain about the area. A place is what you make of it. Negative attitude = negative experience (wow, go figure). If you were so miserable and constantly went "woe is me" when you were in Yuma, that's your own fault.

That's the sad part when it comes to the heat. Should be vice versa: Kingman hot and Yuma neutral temperature.
I have lived in Yuma all my life and I’ve done all of these things but it’s still fun to do after doing them so much
That's awesome! So glad that you enjoy doing them :)
