Poor little Miss Tic Tac. I’m glad she’s ok and I pray she doesn’t have any more issues. I love your darling little goats. 0 degrees here at 8:30 AM. Went from record highs all Spring and Summer to freezing cold within a week. God bless you all and keep you safe ❤️🙏
Poor Tic Tac!! Good to see her up and about!!! Shawn, I'm going to state what you already know,😂 (but maybe others can benefit that read the comments) an active rumen keeps animals like goats, cows and sheep warm. That is how cows can be out in a snowstorm and be perfectly warm and content. That is why it is so important for animals to be fed well in extreme cold weather. Now I KNOW you fed Tic Tac and all the animals very very well but maybe Tic Tac was off her food a little at supper time? I'm thinking probiotics might be beneficial to get her rumen working better. I did notice in the video she wasn't chewing her cud. Again you know all of this but some new followers or even someone new to owning animals may benefit from my rambling 😂😆😉! Prayers for Tic Tac and all the fur babies!!! Stay safe and stay warm!!
Just FYI, Jason and Brooke @Cog Hill Farm found out that the eye lid check is not as always a reliable check for worms. Their Vet told them they needed to do fecal check to be sure. They did the fecal check and their goats had worms. They had to use a different type dewormer to get rid of the worms. They dewormed and then did another fecal check and the worms were gone,.
Poor lil Tic Tac, but glad shes getting better, so hard to see them shivering like that. Hope she gets & stays healthy. Dang weather most all over cold faster. 😔❤🙏
I don't know if goats can become diabetic or not, but I know cats and dogs can. I mention this because you said she perked up as soon as she got the molasses water. To me, being a diabetic myself, that indicates that she had severely low blood sugar. Yes, low blood sugar Can cause one to shake violently as if having a seizure. Someone else mentioned Cog Hill Farm and the fecal test for worms. That is another excellent idea. It was a really interesting couple of videos that Jason and Brooke did on goats and worms. I hope Tic Tac will be okay.
I was thinking the same thing, I'm diabetic. A few months ago,my cat started shaking or having trembles. Took her to the vet and they thought it was her blood sugar. That day,we learned she has neurological issues.
Hi Shawn....I'm so sorry TicTac was struggling this morning and very glad she has perked up. Several people have mentioned getting a fecal sample tested on her and I concur. Another goat channel that I watch...Syman Says Farms in Connecticut, almost lost one of their 2022 Spring babies -Winnie.- to a massive overload of worms. The eyelid check did not reveal the problem but after 2 fecal checks it was found that she was severely anemic from worms. It took weeks and a lot of medication to get her cleared up. I hope you will check their channel for information on Winnie's illness and treatment. Sending prayers for little Miss TicTac!!!!!
Oh my poor Miss TicTac! Hope she will be ok! I don’t like thinking that one of the babies is not feeling her best. It’s very cold up here in Mansfield too, it was 17 on my way to church and it’s not much warmer yet! 🥶🥶 Take cate of yourself too, we don’t want you down sick too! 😊
So glad the baby is better! I’m like you we went from 85-90 one day to 32 the next here in western Oklahoma. There was no adjusting to it!!! I’m sure you are keeping a great eye on all your babies who are so so sweet! Love them all💞
PRAYERS TIC TAC WILL BE FINE. HATE TO SEE ANY ANIMAL NOT FEELING WELL. IT'S GOTTEN WAY TO COLD TO FAST. SNOW IS COMING EARLY. STAY SAFE AND WARM, LOVE TO YOUR FUR BABIES 💘 ♥️
Oh no, poor Ticky. I'm glad she let you cuddle her up. I hope she is able to regulate better if it stays cold. You and I both said no at the same time when you asked Cookie if she was going to give you babies. lol. I am still hoping to see her kids but if it's not meant to be there must be a reason. I wouldn't want her to be in any danger. She's still one of my favorite goats of all time. (She's a GOAT goat🤣😂)
You called her “my little angel muffin”? 🤣😂🤣 We feel the same. Would rather she not have babies if there’s danger to her of the babes. So, would you buy a cookie don’t care shirt 🤣😂🤣 you’ll have to message me on Facebook messenger because I’ll never see your response at this point 😂☺️
I am so thankful she is okay. Up here in Cleveland the lake is keeping us warm while recking havoc to the east. Thank you for everything you do, you are amazing.
The cold did descend upon your part of the country quickly. You’re probably correct that she doesn’t have her full winter protective coat in yet, but keeping your eye on her is a good thing. There’s nothing like warm snuggles and hugs to turn the cold away. 🌹
I hope she feels better soon. I know we got super cold here and even broke some records. I bet it just got colder sooner then what her warmer coat had time to come in.
Sorry to hear about Tic Tac…glad she is much better right now. I’m glad your goats are all doing well after your bitter cold. It has been bad here too. 15 degrees with windchill of 7….brr!🥰🙏🏻🙋🏼♀️
Could you maybe get some straw for their beds? Or put heavy cardboard under their current bed of hay? What about Survivor type heating blankets that are shiny looking under their beds? Next find a thrift store kids sweaters and put it on them.(sorta like cheap horse blankets).
This weather crazy everywhere! In Massachusetts today 38 possible snow and wind seems to subside, but really sunny 😎 It makes sense. Just keep watching for signs see how she is tomorrow?
Hey Gumdrop, oh wow what a scare, happy she seems better now! Maybe she just got a chill. I know you'll keep an eye on her because that's what you do. Thanks ❤
Redneck goat starter pack 🤣😂🤣 No, we’re very selective and try to have all the different Nigerian colors and patterns. We’re still missing quite a few but with limited space we have to be very particular. ☺️
So glad you warmed TicTac up and she seems to be okay 👍 👌 That was probably very scary for you. Now you have to try and figure out why so it doesnt happen again. Thank goodness 🙏 😅
Maybe this goat had gone outside into wind chill a bit long and got cooled too much, and returned inside shivering abnormally as a result. Certainly does not appear lacking coat so should have been able to keep warm, had it stayed inside. The temperature itself does not seem extreme. Good you were able to assist warming, and the extra sugar would have boosted energy to warm up. 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I got up to a shivering goat the other day and I went down to the local farm store and bought five bales of wheat straw. Game changer. Now everyone has a horse mat, shavings, and a foot of wheat straw on the top. They seem to be warm it's been like 26° here in Northeast Mississippi at night.
Thank you ☺️ She doesn’t normally and she wasn’t against the metal when I saw her. Sorry, I know I just pointed in the general direction of the corner. She was actually against the wood facing inward to the barn.
You are such a sweet man! The way that you care for your goats is just amazing. Sometimes them knowing how much they are loved goes a long way too. For the first time my goat Rosie actually has a nice coat. It’s so soft and she’s getting fluffy even though she’s a house goat. I think it’s a good sign that she must be healing some more even though she’s still too thin for my standards. She’s only 31 pounds. How much does Licorice weigh? Rosie kinda looks like licorice they could be sisters 😂
Awww, that’s amazing! I’m totally invested in sweet miss Rosie (ok, that’s what I cal her, you know me ☺️) so happy that’s she doing better. I think licorice is about 45 but I would have to weigh her ☺️
@@zioncreekfarm You would love Rosie! She’s very small and so sweet. I take her to the feed stores, pet stores and even some people stores and everyone loves her. 💕 I’m going to get pictures of her with Santa at the feed store. Rosie loves cuddles, scratches, and she loves getting brushed. Licorice is on the small side then. I’ve read that Nigerian Dwarf goats need to be 40 pounds to be bred. Rosie won’t get bred she’s happy just being spoiled. I still haven’t seen her go into heat either. Oh and I remember you talking about how some goats stop eating when you pet them. Rosie is one of those goats too.
My cham looks naked too. I really think you are right. too cold too fast! Glad to see her up and moving.
I wonder if Tic-Tac would wear a blanket or dog coat like Jami and Lester put on their horses during real cold weather. Glad she had you to warm her.
She might. She was none too happy about me putting my coat on her
I hope Tic Tac will be okay ,.praying for her 🙏
Glad to hear she turned around. Always a good idea to keep an eye on them after a scare.
Slowly I am leaning their wonderful names. Prayers Tictac stays healthy and the rest of your crew. God bless
Aww, thank you ☺️
Great names for your babies ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍
Thank goodness she's ok...hugs little one!
I'm so glad she is okay
There all so cute! Prayers go out to your goats that all stay well.

Poor baby!!! So happy Tic Tac is doing better now!😊
Glad she warmed up and is ok !
Poor tic tac….maybe she just wanted a daddy hug 🤗. Maybe she needs a nighttime snuggle buddy. Is it possible to bunch them up in one or two stalls?
Prayers for Tic-Tac! I love all your goats and sheep! Can’t wait for more videos!
Prayers and Blessings always ♥️🙏♥️🌧🥰
Like lightning strike mark on Tic Toc ‘s side ❤
Someone said it could be the Z for Zion Creek
Just FYI, Jason and Brooke @Cog Hill Farm found out that the eye lid check is not as always a reliable check for worms. Their Vet told them they needed to do fecal check to be sure. Looks like Tictac has boots on! Love her colors, little white like Z on her!! ❤❤
Her pattern is called chamoisee! Yes the Zion Creek Z 🤣☺️

Poor sweet Lil' Tic!! Thank goodness she feels better as goats tend to "give up"... Keep a watch as I know you will and keep us informed on how she is
Hopefully things get better. I know everyone is shocked with the cold temperatures so soon. Poor little Tic Tac hope she warms up and feels better 💜.
Poor Tic Tac I hope she's feeling better and I am still praying 🙏 for her even if she's doing good ♥️💋
Sure hope Tic Tac stays warm tonight. Love the cute goats.

I thought immediately of Winnie when watching this

So glad your goat recovered. They’re all so sweet! I look forward to knowing their names in time ❤

I love your videos and where there are animals I’ll be there
Thank you ☺️

You’ve had more really cold weather than we have had here in Calgary Alberta. Praying for Tic Tac.
Hope she is doing well
I hope she continues to feel good. 💝🙏
So glad that you caught the problem in time! Prayers for health and safety!🙏❤🙏

Poor little TicTac. She had to be miserable shaking like that. I'm glad she seems to be doing better. That's scary. Ya'll take care.
I am so thankful she is okay. Up here in Cleveland the lake is keeping us warm while recking havoc to the east. Thank you for everything you do, you are amazing.
Yeah like 67 inches of snow on the east side 😳🤨
Your babies looks great! ❤ I hope Tic- Tac is ok.

Hope that sweet baby is going to be okay. Do not apologize, the babies are number one concern.
Hope she stays well, all your babies are really cute and sweet.💗

Awwww stay warm everybody. I live in PA and it’s really cold here too for this time of year.
Good evening Shawn, I;m glad to know that Tic Tac is doing fine
Glad she is ok .... and the cold has been crazy here too
I hope she feels better soon. I know we got super cold here and even broke some records. I bet it just got colder sooner then what her warmer coat had time to come in.
I'm glad tic tac is feeling better.
Thank goodness you successfully addressed this moment. Perhaps keeping a blanket around may help if it happens again.
I'm glad Tic Tac's doing better. Licorice isn't so skinny anymore at least not like she used to be. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you ☺️
Licorice looks really good, but she’s still our tiniest baby, next to GDrop but that doesn’t count.
It's been so cold everywhere this year. Maybe some more hay... you know what your doing. God bless you from your friend in Irving Texas 🤠.
Sorry to hear about Tic Tac…glad she is much better right now. I’m glad your goats are all doing well after your bitter cold. It has been bad here too. 15 degrees with windchill of 7….brr!🥰🙏🏻🙋🏼♀️
You really know and love your babies. Hope Tic Tac is ok. Minnesota has been cold too
I love your goat names. Sending Prayers for Tic Tac 🙏

Shawn have you tried goat pajamas or a dog coat for them?
You are so good with your goats an just pray little tic tac has no more problems !
It’s really cold here in Pennsylvania to! You get the cold before us!
Could you maybe get some straw for their beds? Or put heavy cardboard under their current bed of hay? What about Survivor type heating blankets that are shiny looking under their beds? Next find a thrift store kids sweaters and put it on them.(sorta like cheap horse blankets).
B12, electrolytes, a warming station/lamp? I hope Tic tac is better. Positive and healing vibes for all💖
Hope Tic-Tac is ok & all others are good.

The goats have the CUTEST names! 😍
And how do you have SO many adorable goats!?🥰🥰
Redneck goat starter pack 🤣😂🤣

It was extremely cold in NJ and our wind chill at 8am was 13 degrees
So glad you warmed TicTac up and she seems to be okay 👍 👌 That was probably very scary for you. Now you have to try and figure out why so it doesnt happen again. Thank goodness 🙏 😅
Awww, poor baby was cold!
It doesn’t get much colder than 47° at night where I am and I still need a heavy warm coat! Hope she grows her fluff in quickly
I’m so glad Tic Tac is doing better. Scary thing to find though.

Maybe TicTac was cold from laying against the cold metal wall. Thank you for warming her up…you’re such a good daddy! 😊
Thank you ☺️
She doesn’t normally and she wasn’t against the metal when I saw her. Sorry, I know I just pointed in the general direction of the corner. She was actually against the wood facing inward to the barn.
Poor tic tac hopefully she gets the rest of her winter coat soon

Glad Tic Tac perked up. No worries on the video dude. You and your goat are going through something. We can wait.
To darn cold for me
Tic tac needs goat clothes and maybe a party gown for winter
