Great video. Just found one of mine leaking on a 2024 F250 XLT with 800 miles. Passenger side rocker trough full of water and the carpet wicked the water up. Saw the outside rubber seal on top of the passenger side rear vent pulled away from the cabin wall. Pushed the vent back out as far as it would go and saw a blob of paint right where the seal goes so it couldn't seal. Popped the bulge off with a long flathead screwdriver and vent seal was then flush. I put a bead of silicone along the inside of each vent for good measure. The vents wiggle around as they are but the sealant secures them.
Unbelievable! Piss poor design to seal up the outside of the truck that’s for sure…. One little assembly miscue and all that potential damage to electrical harnesses and mold. Definitely going to rip the back seats out of mine and take a look. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the video. It rained today and I found the same leak in the same spot. The only difference is that the vent was all the way in. I’m replacing it.
Let me take a moment to like and thank you for this video. I just found my 2020 drenched exactly the same way and I suspected it was from the rear. Sure enough, same exact tab is broken on mine and flooded my truck.
My ‘05 F350 driver’s side cabin pressure vent was loose but I never noticed any water. Recently, I had the bed off to replace the bed rails. I’m replacing them both. Since on my truck they only go in from the outside. One small defect can cause so much damage. Thanks for all you do making your videos and look forward to seeing your next video!
I found this to be the problem on my 22 F350, after a dealer only found the door seals leaking. The next time it rained my floors were soaked again. (Obviously not the door seals) Called to get it back in the shop and was told it would be another month, about the time we were heading back south for the winter. Get settled for the winter and make appointment at this dealer, a month and half out. I told them about this video and where to look. Parts ordered, no show, reschedule, back to shop, now have mold growing, blah blah blah. Kept my truck for 3 weeks for repair, mold removal, detail and dry out. Ford would not replace flooring!!(Im pissed btw). I got the truck back last night, it rained over night, the vents still leak!!! Back to the dealer Monday. I sure wish Ford would come out with an updated vent that actually fixes this problem.
2020 F350 Lariat with the 7.3 here. Back in the summer of '21 discovered a leak in the passenger front after a heavy thunderstorm. Technician said it was a rubber plug in the firewall not fully seated and took him 3 hours to locate it. Great channel and content, always enjoy your uploads.
I bought a used 2017 F250 Lariat and I just experienced the water filling the side troughs on both sides but more so on the passenger side. I used a turkey baster to empty the water out. The day prior I had it at the dealership for a recall on the body control module (under glove box by right foot) Turns out the BCM had gotten wet and shorted out dropping the tailgate. They have a 50 page bulletin on searching for leaks to find out where it gets in. In my research I've discovered 5 serious entry points are possible. Rear cab vents, sunroof, window/door, windshield, A/C drain behind the passenger wheel well.
So which one was it ?? I’m getting water in passenger front footwell Not used A/c in 4 months so not that I did have a new windshield few months ago Clean roof drains We’ll c gonna rain tomorrow
I never did figure it out! I do need to check the roof drains. I also put a 90 degree elbow on the A/C drain that in the passenger side foot compartment. The drain can be seen under the wheel well behind the shroud. They found water ends up flowing out the drain but doesn't clear the grommet and ends up I the front passenger floorboard.
Well this is the second "you better check this" video about this I've seen. Just pulled the behind the seat carpet back on my 22 tremor gas. All tabs are locked in place👍 Thanks for the video!
Found the same thing on my 21’…soaked under my driver seat and feet area. Checked the seals on the door… probably took them off 20x haha, nothing… traced it back to the vents were I put the hose on it and sure enough… it wasn’t coming from the top but coming from the rubber which wasn’t sealing so just certain little compartments would fill up and eventually spill over in to the cab. Now I have a new project…taking out carpet and replacing it on a truck I bought 5 months ago…of course used… thank though man I really appreciate your videos. Keep it up brotha!
That was a very complete explanation. I should note that some Superduty owners advocate running antenna wire through this vent. Probably not a good idea given how easy water can enter here if something isn’t 100% with the installation.
Both my 2017 and my 2018 F150s had water issues. The first one was a bad windshield replacement which had soaked the entire passenger side wire channel and carpet. The last one was after warranty work on the sunroof. Somehow, there was a one inch defect in the gasket that frames the sliding glass. Water started running in down the a-pillar and dripped down the driver's handlebar. I will be checking my new 22 SD for the issue you showed here. Like I mentioned to you the other day, my new truck came with a F350 on the driver side and a F250 on the passenger side. Today, I found about a one inch paint bubble on the roof. Definitely things are not going well at Ford. I waited 13 1/2 months for this truck. Sat in Kentucky completely built since Oct 4/22. Didn't get delivered until Jan 24/23.
I have a 22' F-250 Lariat 7.3 which has been to the dealer 3 times for water intrusion. 1st time they couldn't find anything and 2nd time they resealed the windshield. So,the 3rd time I showed Corwin Ford Reno your video. They found the leak, same exact vent & tab! THANK YOU 👍
Great find! I watched another video where the same thing happened to a guy with his brand new 21 F350 (I think) but they thought it was the heater core leaking, long story short it was a bad fitment on some lines that came loose or misaligned, he never did a follow up. I'll have to check my 22 F450. For the last 3 Super Duty's Ive owned, Ive always cut a hole in those to run a cig. lighter and wiring for a overhead light for plowing and never thought of water intrusion. I wish they'd come up with something to divert the water over the door sill plate in the front driver side foot area. Again, last three Super Duty's I've owned are caked with salt come spring in that wire loom area from where the e brake all the way to the rear seat and I've tried putting towels/rugs under the floor mats to try to absorb the water but nothing seems to help and kick my boots off before I get back into the truck. Before this 22 F450 touches snow/salt I am removing all the driver side trim and wrapping that whole wire loom in heavy 3M Super 88 electrical tape (2" wide tape) to keep the salt off the wiring at least. They need to have a drain in that whole cavity.
Thank you for the video!! I've been thinking that a cat got in my truck and pissed! Either time for me to start popping off trim pieces to find it or take it to the dealer to fix since it's under warranty still.
In 2017, my 2017 sat outside during a Hurricane here in Houston and my carpet was soaked. I took the truck to my dealer and they discovered the rear cab vents were the source of the leaked. They checked the 54 new Superduty’s on their lot and 12 of them had wet carpet.
Yes. My 2020 CC KR. Took me about a year to find it. Way past warranty. Originally reported it while in warranty though. Same exact weak finger. Ended up pulling it in and siliconing it. Siliconed the other side too for good measure. Propped up all the carpet, fans, and dehumidifier in the truck for two days. Had same exact symptoms, driver side front floor soaked. First I checked the sunroof drains, siliconed around the firewall grommet as I had a couple drips coming from there under direct spray. Happened again, pulled the cowl thinking seam sealer was missed. Nothing. Cab vent was the smoking gun. I drive 40-45k a year. First thing I do with my next SD will be pulling the back wall apart and siliconing it as a preventive measure.
I had a problem with my 2016 F150 sun roof drain lines that had come apart in the A pillar. Sure enough i had water pooling at the bottom on both sides where the large wiring harness runs in the sill. Took both side off and sure enough on drain line was off and another was coming apart. Only held on by friction, but I connected back on and placed a small zip tie / clamp to hold together. Never had a problem after that.
Thanks for this video 100% same diagnosis on my 2018 F250 passenger side. I've been hearing water sloshing around for some time, thought it was doors but could never find it. Pulled up "door sill" and found a good bit of water. Quick google lead me here and sure enough you can see the dirt all over that vent behind the passenger seat after pulling the cover. I'll probably replace with new or look into other fix options. My warranty is up so unfortunately the carpet stays but I'm gonna give it a good cleaning.
I had the similar issue back in February of this years on my 2016 F-150 with 5.0L. I took it to my local dealership here in the state of Oregon back in November and they couldn’t find the leak until months later.
A buddy of mine installed a roll-n-loc bed cover on his 2015 F250 and when running the drain hose, he inadvertently ran drain hose thru the cab vents. He managed to get two inches of hose thru those pesky vents. First big rain, flooded his entire cab.
I am currently trying to find a cab leak in my 2019 F-350. Water has already damaged the BCM on the passenger side. I wouldn't think the source is the rear cab vents as the water is dripping down onto the BCM from what I can tell when I remove the glove compartment. Have you found the source of the leak on your truck ?
Came across this video looking for more information on my 21 F350 water leak - mainly to see if it's a more common problem. My passenger cab vent is doing the exact same thing. Wont push back in. Told dealer it was defective - I'm hoping they replace the carpet. Carpet is soaked, truck is actually starting to smell bad from mildew! Seems like these vents have been problematic going back to the early 2000's at least. Very dissapointed!
2017 250 every time it rains. Taken it to multiple dealerships and they couldn’t figure it out. Great video. I probably need to get the carpet replaced
My 2014 f250 has the same style pressure vents in the back cab panel. How I found it was a swampy smell in the truck and then found the right rear carpet was soaking wet. Pulled the rear seats, trim panels, carpet and water tested. Thought my back glass was the problem, well it was along with the pressure vents. I wound up metal duct taping them up and urethane sealer over top of that to stop the leak. Then I drilled small weep holes in the lower track of the slider glass to let water drain out as the water was following the track into the cab. Sorry for being longwinded, but needless to say it doesnt leak now.
Yep, same thing in my 21 F250. I used a moisture meter and probed my way back to to vent. leaned the backseat forward, took out the sound equipment and found the top of the vent flopping around. Im replacing both vents, pretty poor design. Now to dryout the truck, using a house dehumidifier plugged in overnight(s)
Air extractor. Not only do those 4 clips need to be properly seated to the body, the rubber on the exterior side needs to sit flush without a bend/fold. Can be difficult to get with the bed on. Impossible (?) to even see if it is
My 2021 F350 super duty spent 6 months in and out of the shop for this very same leak. My dealer could not find this leak, and threw all kinds of parts at my truck till I said I saw somewhere on another form that others were speaking of this vent. Multiple parts and procedures were performed including but not limited to a new carpet and a new rear sliding window.
Hey Rod I’m not gonna name names and throw someone under the bus just that I will never be taking my truck back to that dealer again this should’ve never taken as long as it took. I had spoken to you I was about to come out to Michigan from upstate New York to have you look at this and then they discovered the leak after I told them about the vent,
Yeah I have seen this before but not on the new trucks I think it wasn’t put in right from ford I have taken them out before to paint the back of the cab and yes they are a little tricky to put back in
Just had the same experience on a 2022 Tremor.....Bed was removed to replace. It had been leaking for 3 mos and did not notice until washing and the inside windows fogged. Dealer cleaned the carpet and air dried for 48 hours. Just noticed it's still damp and now the truck has an odor. I will be contacting the dealer first thing next week to inform and request the carpet to be replaced. Truck only has 800 miles. Very disappointed in Ford Quality Control processes of late. This is the second repair needed. They installed the cab running lights wrong as well and had to be corrected.
I've got an 04 f250 crew cab thats always wet on the drivers floor right where you showed. I just assumed the windshield was leaking and very well may be on that old pig
I have a 2017 aluma-duty. It had the exact same issue, but on the pass side rear vent. The dealer tried three times to find/fix. When i threatened lemmon law, they called in a water specialist and this guy found it. It has been dry ever since.
Cab mounted third stop light/back up light gasket is a common leak point on the ram cabs. Ford and Ram must be using the same genius design engineering team.
@@dextermay4007 yup most common. On my Superduty I had cab clearence light gasket leak too. It would drip right off the mounting stud down the headliner and out the overhead console into my cupholder on the center console. Luckily caught it early and no damage occurred.
Exactly what the problem was. The vent was completely missing. Not sure if it fell out or removed and never replaced but that’s where the water leak was coming from. Now have figure out how to get all the water out of the carpet.
The quickest/cheapest solution I found for my F-150 (similar design) is to use a grease (I used sil-glyde on mine, tried Lucas Red Tacky on my friends and I feel his will last longer, harder to apply) Push the vent as far toward bed as possible. (Mine would shift toward middle about half the width) apply grease on the gasket or where it meets cab hole. I went fairly heavy. Then re-seat the vent. I went from soaked carpet in a drizzle to bone dry with a hose blasting. NOTE: the squeeze tube of silglyde needed a nozzle. Cut a 1 inch piece of 3/8 clear tube and shove in the grease tube opening. The shove a 2 or so piece of 1/4 inside that. It is not perfect, and will pop out on you BUT it beats the heck out of moldy trucks and removing beds because of a piece of plastic.
Same issue here with a 2017 super crew as well dealer had the truck for 29 days not sure if they actually worked on it every day probably not but they would not replace my carpet put in a new vent and let the carpet dry out had a musty smell afterwards. Also drivers side
I am currently trying to figure out a leak in my 2019 F-350. It has already damaged my BCM on the passenger side. My leak appears to be dropping down onto the BCM from what troubleshooting I have done so far. Have you been able to find the source of your leak ?
Thank You we just discovered water damage on our 2017. The truck is garage kept and only comes out to toy a trailer. We have had some rain in FL and noticed water on the floor board. I will go check this now. Do you know if it is covered under Ford premium warranty?
well, we found a lot water in our truck, was comming from the hole where the factory subwoofer is, so Im sealing that hole and I check that vents and was totally dry but just in case I will seal around the vent with silicone, get the carpet dry is not easy, we (as a F150 customer) pay a lot money for truck and not sense how cheap they use parts, more for protect the interior, anyway I hope that was the only way where the water was coming, any tips for check the front area for leak??? Thanks in advance
Another failure place is the sliding rear window gasket and track. Unfortunately seems the only way to "repair" is to replace the entire window. Since I don't use mine often, ended up using silicone to seal it shut. Then disconnected power to the slider motor. Not for everyone but cheaper than replacing the entire window.
I've had the same issue on my truck. (2020 f250) the ford dealer did silicone around mine and replaced carpetdo to mildew smell... lasted a year just started getting water in the rocker again. Seriously disappointing...
I was thinking about making a seal that’s sandwiched between the bed and cab at the top. Almost like the seals on the side gaps of the bed. I’ve wondered if water rolling down off the roof or off the tonneau cover leaks into that vent.
Figured as long as it’s a EDPM rubber, just like the seals on the side of the bed to cab gap, it shouldn’t hurt anything. I found a block rubber weather strip made for camper caps that should be in this week to try out.
Thank you for the video. I found the rear driver's side passenger door trough completely full this weekend while vacuuming my 2017 SD. It had been raining here for a few days last week and my truck was backed in to my driveway with the bed higher than the cab. Call me crazy, but I should not have to reposition my truck in any way to prevent leaks. Am i right? I will be checking this out as soon as I can. Thanks again for the video! Cheers!
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod forgot to say it, thanks for this video, this was my issue too! Is there a better way to install these instead of snapping a new one in and hoping it doesn’t do the same thing? Sealant or anything that you recommend? (I read the comments on silicone, grease, butyl tape etc)
Found puddles of water on my 21 f250 only on the driver side. Unfortunately I have the sub wolfer and amp in my way to the vent. Showing the dealer your video. Congrats on the over 100k plaque!!🎉
I'm not understanding, what are these for and what is their function? Since my bed cover cover drains through the portals in the front of the bed, I'd better check to ensure they don't empty at or above these vents. The thought never crossed my mind until I saw this video.
I have a 2017 F250 crew cab Lariat (no sunroof) and am getting water only in the front passenger floor board after heavy rain. What would be your thought’s and or suggestions on where to start?
Have a '22 Lariat, same issue, same puddling spot just before left driver foot. Odd though, only happened once about month ago, plenty of rain/washing since. Thanks for heads up, occurs again, I know what I'm checking.
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod yes, I sure did. You said it only had 8k miles I didn’t know if you had warranty work done on it or did it yourself. I’m in the same boat except with an F150, trying to get ford to replace it all
Good video, I see these vents leaking in many cases, is there a part number for those vents, or what exactly that vent is called? Im working on a F350 DSL and both side are just destroyed, rubber hanging out of both. Need to replace them if anyone knows the oem part number and if this is just called some positive pressure cabin vent? Thanks in advance
What is the part number for the vent? Does it have a weather tight adhesive seal around the vent? Can you tell if the vent is warped by looking at the vent? Is the part made here in the USA or somewhere else in the world?
I found that I had junk behind my rear seat stashed and when I put seat folded back it would push this vent out just a bit and water leaked in on heavy rain days I bet those car washes do the most water damage when thousands of gallons comes down on your car
Do you have the part number on that I just found the same issue I’m out of warranty and have to replace it. Can I get away with drying out the carpets really well after I fix it?
I have a 2020 Ford F150 Raptor and I already had to get the TSB 19-2345 repair on it due to water from the a/c drain tube letting water get past the seal and through the firewall. So that was letting water soak my carpet on the passenger side. I've had no leaks but still have a mildew/musky smell coming from my truck when you open the door and my a/c when you start the truck up. Any advice you can help out with?
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod yeah I seen that video before and done it when I replaced my cabin filter after they done the 90 degree elbow. I don’t think they really dried out my passenger side out good so would you recommend me lifting the carpet up to make sure no mold is growing and getting the carpet shampooed and steamed?
Is this covered by warranty ? I have a 2018 F350 with extended warranty . They found same issue but on passenger side ... This is insane - quoted $4k to replace carpets !

7.3 stuff comin!!!!!
Wow that sucks , I know if that was my truck I would be pissed. Glad u where able to find the leak. Thanks ARod
It may not be widespread but it’s common sadly. They should redesign the part so that there is more holding it into the truck.
Correct!
Seeing so many people comment they had the same makes me wonder why Ford hasn’t redesigned it.

Great video. Something so simple can create a ton of issues. Thanks
Check urs 🙋♂️
2017 250 every time it rains. Taken it to multiple dealerships and they couldn’t figure it out. Great video. I probably need to get the carpet replaced
Mine is the same way. No solution at this point!
Sweet I thought I was going to have to remove bed to replace the vents I got 2 new ones but didn’t figure it out THANKS
Nice find brother. Now I have to check mine.
Impossible (?) to even see if it is
Had the same issue on my 17 f150 I had to put RTV silicone all around the new one
Had that issue on my 2013 150 raptor. Will be testing my 2021 super duty now.
Wow!!!! Took me a day but i nailed it
Hey Rod I’m not gonna name names and throw someone under the bus just that I will never be taking my truck back to that dealer again this should’ve never taken as long as it took.
I had spoken to you I was about to come out to Michigan from upstate New York to have you look at this and then they discovered the leak after I told them about the vent,
I have a lot of hotshotters that can bring ur rig to me. Thats just ridiculous to have to deal with service like that
Yeah I have seen this before but not on the new trucks I think it wasn’t put in right from ford I have taken them out before to paint the back of the cab and yes they are a little tricky to put back in
Just had the same experience on a 2022 Tremor.....Bed was removed to replace.
Same thing happened to me. I got them to replace the carpet. It's now 1 uear later and now leaking again.
I've got an 04 f250 crew cab thats always wet on the drivers floor right where you showed. I just assumed the windshield was leaking and very well may be on that old pig
After all these years, one would think that there’s got to be a better placement for those vents.
checking mine right now
Report back!
I have a 2017 aluma-duty. It had the exact same issue, but on the pass side rear vent. The dealer tried three times to find/fix. When i threatened lemmon law, they called in a water specialist and this guy found it. It has been dry ever since.
Unrealll
Very common issue. We drill holes in floor for year now.
This is an issue on RAM trucks too. Not all, but it happens.
Gasket for
Cab mounted third stop light/back up light gasket is a common leak point on the ram cabs.
Also drivers side
why would you accept that
Wow, unreal
I've been hearing water slosh after a hard rain, but haven't investigated it yet. I have a 21 F350 DRW. Now you have me curious.
Dude, get up & go check ur truck & report back 🧐🤔🧐🤔🧐🤔🧐
My 2014 has the same issue.
Good catch!
Is a COVID truck… I feel QC went downhill since COVID. And not just with Ford. With everything. Every manufacturer. RV’s anything and everything
The whole world is going down the tubes -mr. Ed
Mines doing the same but on passenger side ford said wasn’t my heater core and it’s still doing it after they had it for a week
Thank you for the video I have the same problem with my f250 2019 but in the passenger side 🤷🏻♂️
Ud have 2 get your dealer to run the number against your plan & see
Thank God for "M-TIME" A-Rod !!!!!! 👍🏻😉
The reasons for accurate punch times !
No lie! SLTS aint got nuthin
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod Amen to that! LOL!
well, we found a lot water in our truck, was comming from the hole where the factory subwoofer is, so Im sealing that hole and I check that vents and was totally dry but just in case I will seal around the vent with silicone, get the carpet dry is not easy, we (as a F150 customer) pay a lot money for truck and not sense how cheap they use parts, more for protect the interior, anyway I hope that was the only way where the water was coming, any tips for check the front area for leak???
Thanks in advance
Gotta waterly test that whole truck
Did you replace the vent in the same way you removed it?
Yup
Another failure place is the sliding rear window gasket and track. Unfortunately seems the only way to "repair" is to replace the entire window. Since I don't use mine often, ended up using silicone to seal it shut. Then disconnected power to the slider motor. Not for everyone but cheaper than replacing the entire window.
I've had the same issue on my truck. (2020 f250) the ford dealer did silicone around mine and replaced carpetdo to mildew smell... lasted a year just started getting water in the rocker again. Seriously disappointing...
you da best arod, gonna schedule myself some service with you and make the drive over. also good intro music choice :)
💪💪💪
The”Ford boss me” guy did a video on that part leaking. Maybe a couple months ago.
I was thinking about making a seal that’s sandwiched between the bed and cab at the top. Almost like the seals on the side gaps of the bed. I’ve wondered if water rolling down off the roof or off the tonneau cover leaks into that vent.
Hmmm good idea
Will have to use something soft because It will rub the paint off. Just like when you have rubber boots stuck between the cab and bed
Figured as long as it’s a EDPM rubber, just like the seals on the side of the bed to cab gap, it shouldn’t hurt anything. I found a block rubber weather strip made for camper caps that should be in this week to try out.
Good diag bud. You might want a publicist because that’s going to be one hell of a story to write up for Ford!
English 131, got it covered
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod I took 3 years of Spanish in high school….Spanish 1 took three to pass hahaha.
.......i am spanish. I took english 131 not geometry. What are you trying to get across, that i should have ate spaghetti?
Thank you for the video. I found the rear driver's side passenger door trough completely full this weekend while vacuuming my 2017 SD. It had been raining here for a few days last week and my truck was backed in to my driveway with the bed higher than the cab. Call me crazy, but I should not have to reposition my truck in any way to prevent leaks. Am i right? I will be checking this out as soon as I can. Thanks again for the video! Cheers!
Had a leak issue in my F150 2019, front passenger floorboard..amongst other issues
What was the source of your leak ?
I don’t recall
They fixed it
It came back
They fixed it
I traded the truck for a 2022 Tundra
It was coming from a drain in the front though hood around front fender
Going to check this on mine ASAP - is there a Part number/name for this thing?
I show ya
Found it FORD OEM Back Panel-Vent HC3Z25280B62B
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod forgot to say it, thanks for this video, this was my issue too! Is there a better way to install these instead of snapping a new one in and hoping it doesn’t do the same thing? Sealant or anything that you recommend? (I read the comments on silicone, grease, butyl tape etc)
@vanniek71 Thanks, buddy, I appreciate that. No I have done several with a no sealant or anything
Found puddles of water on my 21 f250 only on the driver side. Unfortunately I have the sub wolfer and amp in my way to the vent. Showing the dealer your video. Congrats on the over 100k plaque!!🎉
I have a 2019 same problem.
Wow what a chintzy part!
Ram Has the Exact same issue!
😬.....💩! At least you found it.
I'm not understanding, what are these for and what is their function? Since my bed cover cover drains through the portals in the front of the bed, I'd better check to ensure they don't empty at or above these vents. The thought never crossed my mind until I saw this video.
We went over this numerous times, peep the comments.
I think these should have some sort of retainer that screws them tight. Sandwitching the sheet metal between 2 pieces of rubber gaskets.
I have a 2017 F250 crew cab Lariat (no sunroof) and am getting water only in the front passenger floor board after heavy rain. What would be your thought’s and or suggestions on where to start?
Your gonna have 2 leak test it like you say me do...
Have a '22 Lariat, same issue, same puddling spot just before left driver foot. Odd though, only happened once about month ago, plenty of rain/washing since. Thanks for heads up, occurs again, I know what I'm checking.
Check now & fix b4 its too late!
Just got my 23. Driving it today water ran down the INSIDE of the windshield just behind the mirror. No sunroof. Supercab. Any ideas
Cab lights
Had the same problem in my 02 f250. Piss poor design
So…what did you do to the carpeting and all the wiring harnesses? Replace them?
Did u watch the video...
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod yes, I sure did. You said it only had 8k miles I didn’t know if you had warranty work done on it or did it yourself. I’m in the same boat except with an F150, trying to get ford to replace it all
@kepple3194 wiring was fine, carpet was replaced!!
Another great video Arod!!!!!
🙌🙌
I know this is older. My 2021 (new to me) is in for the same issue they found these vents leaking. Particularly the right side...
Ok
Just picked it up they showed me they replaced both "muck vents" exact same parts as you show.
I believe I showed you the part number there in the video homie
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod thanks. The dealer knew right away what I needed, thanks for the video
Since 1999 ford still cant get it right. My 7.3pwrstrk & my 19 have this issue.
thank you, great job but dang, 00:04:00 to see what you came here to see
What is the part number for the vent?
Does it have a weather tight adhesive seal around the vent?
Can you tell if the vent is warped by looking at the vent?
Is the part made here in the USA or somewhere else in the world?
...ur killin me smalls
Both of mine on f150 2019 are leaking inside 😮😮
That is crazy.
I found that I had junk behind my rear seat stashed and when I put seat folded back it would push this vent out just a bit and water leaked in on heavy rain days I bet those car washes do the most water damage when thousands of gallons comes down on your car
2nd one I've seen w/ this issue.
No problems with my 17
Do you have the part number on that I just found the same issue I’m out of warranty and have to replace it.
Wwtch my mildew video
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod yeah I seen that video before and done it when I replaced my cabin filter after they done the 90 degree elbow. I don’t think they really dried out my passenger side out good so would you recommend me lifting the carpet up to make sure no mold is growing and getting the carpet shampooed and steamed?
2019 350. One leaked. They charged me 2k to fix it. Then a month later the passenger side went !
Question HC3Z-6K775-A
Fit on 2011 to 2016
Look the same to me.
Thx for your help
Hc3z is a 17 & up number. Cabs are different
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod it won't bolt on. Thanks for your info. Good show and informative
In the video my friend, you can clearly see that they DO NOT bolt in
Our 2018 is doing this and is shorting out the system. Pisses me off
Bummer
Is this covered by warranty ? I have a 2018 F350 with extended warranty . They found same issue but on passenger side ... This is insane - quoted $4k to replace carpets !
The carpet would be collateral damage. If the base part number is covered under your plan, then yes it should be covered
