This is really informative. This year I will complete my masters in engineering. I got placed recently in a BIG 4 company as an HR technology analyst.. I don't understand why they told me to learn SAP? I dont have any idea about SAP. What's the use of SAP? Is it not a data centric job? Pls reply..
Dear SAP is a widely used HRIS, by learning SAP you will have better knowledge and understanding of the different functionalities of the HRIS and you will be in a better position to understand and solve the problems that arises in day to day HR operations.. here is an example- your company is doing Performance Management through some third party tool or say manually, but now management wants to explore the option of doing it in SAP itself.. so you can be the person who looks into the feasibility (if its possible or not), if yes how it can be done... Hope you get the point.... And about the data entry, yes SAP does have some job profiles that are data entry, but thats exactly like any other job, in HR as well we have profiles that are just data entry... so just the name "SAP" doesn't mean a data entry job... ask them what job you will be doing SAP.. its vast...
Mam is HR along with business analytics in MBA is a good combination (i am from non - tech background ) I am confused between taking finance kr business analytics as my 2nd specialization. I wanna grow in hr field only, maybe hr analyst too
