We continue to love your videos. They are the best in the business. We really appreciate the driving advice for the large coaches. Having a quick tour of the inside is also great. Great job!
I’ve watched a lot of your videos in the last year or so, and this was probably your best yet. It is very informative and has some humor, too. Good job, thanks.
Chris brings a new fresh and transparent approach to promoting/selling a motor coach. I’ve gotten more informed about Newmar and the overall RV world. Great service. And, he bares a resemblance to Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars😃. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Chris, You gave out some excellent advice for new and experienced RV owners during the test drive. That being always having a plan “B” when fueling. Too bad the new owner of a new class A gas MH (still had paper plate) and who was also pulling a toad, hadn’t watched this video or had anyone explain what to watch for when turning right. I also watch. Hill Towing of OR, whose latest RUclips video was his extracting said MH from the steel pole protecting the gas pumps at a never designed for motor homes residential gas station. The pumps he was trying to get to, were closest to the street. Based on the video the pumps had just enough room for a car to maneuver up to the fuel island. He entered the station from a side street trying to get to the street pumps. He failed to go straight ahead until his rear tires were past the pole. (Even that would have put the toad in harm’s way). As you can imagine the pole won big time. The pole tore off the compartment door just ahead of the tires, damaged the step mechanism just ahead of the now destroyed cargo door, and since he apparently was going to fast for this foolish maneuver he also knocked the rear axle back about 6 or so inches. He moved the axle back enough the driveshaft fell out. Anyway thanks for sharing your advice and RV wisdom with your viewers. This guy’s plan “A” was terribly flawed and I suspect he didn’t have a plan “B” which should have been don’t stop at this station. You might sell motor homes but I’ll bet irrespective of the deal, the best part of the transaction is your sage advice.
Wow C. Smith, what a horror story. Definitely sounds like plan A was a loser, and it was worsened by too much speed. I am also never afraid to ask my wife to get out and be another set of eyes in these situations. Most people don't travel alone so its wise to use your partner to keep you out of trouble.
Absolutely perfect video Chris!! As a life long charter coach/ long distance trucker in Canada, your driving tips were bang on. And, as usual, your presentation of the Dutch Star was tremendous! Last thing,,,,I was shocked to hear you say the booth doesn’t break down into a bed. I always wondered why you couldn’t get a booth that was solely built for comfort, not a friggin bed!
Very thorough review as always and interesting to hear your thoughts on the merger. The test drive was very informative I never thought to use the exhaust brakes on a level road like that but it makes sense to save the brakes.
Any plans to add the Newmar Super Star to your inventory? I would love to see a detailed video on that as well as seeing it driven like you did for this Dutch Star.
What are the basic differences between a Spartan Chassis and a Freightliner Chassis on the Dutch Star 4020? Is there an advantage to one over the other?
Bath and a half models work best at 40+ feet. You can do smaller bath and a half motor homes, but you have to give up something... King bed, one less sofa, smaller shower etc. Search for our video on the Dutch star 3709.
You guys are so good at these videos Chris, easy to watch, packed with info and technical data. Everything just flows nicely. The best product deserves the best presentation. Beautiful layout on the 4020 as presented. I trust that both driver and passenger seats swivel to face the rear of the coach?? What do think this coach will sell for price wise? Thanks
Hi Carmen thank you for the kind words. Yes both front seats swivel. The MSRP on this is $469,574 and that is the only price I can advertise. Rest assured we will give you a very nice discount on that and we are always competitive in the market. If you give me a call, I can give you a specific price.
One of your best videos Chris. Demonstrating the turning radius with the steerable tag was impressive. I’m surprised more floorplans don’t have the dinette on the curbside for the same reasons you would want your headboard on your side of the campsite. Interested in your thoughts?
It's trickier to put the dinette on the door side because a dinette needs to be on a flat floor slide. Most slides have a step up that is hidden by the furniture and/or cabinets. Flat floor slides go out and then down and generally have shorter compartment doors under them. Most people want taller compartment doors on the door side (awning side) of the coach. Newmar struck a nice balance with this floor plan. Thanks for the kind words.
Great video as usual. A couple of questions - In the Dutch Star line can you get the neo angle TV with fireplace instead of the 2nd couch and televator? Also can you get a queen bed with larger night stands?
Loved the video but especially the driving part. We say "Escape" instead for exit route. We've stayed in the KOA many times. The lower outside TV takes away from the basement storage but the higher ones takes away interior space. According to a Newmar executive, it was Matt Miller who approached Winnebago and it was the only one they approached.
The Cummins engine uses a single heater grid located in the intake of the engine instead of glow plugs. It does essentially the same thing, it warms up the incoming air charge during cold starts.
I sure hope what people have come to expect from Newmar doesn't get tanked by Winnebago. I'm not, but I'm sure those who are in the market or will be, for such a fin coach, are taking a look at this marriage to insure things don't go down hill, and become Newbago, if so Tiffin's gonna be some busy peeps..
Nice video. Good job as usual . ☹️ Winnie ??? Poor quality money saving changes coming soon. So the nasty terrible rumor is true!!!! Does anyone still watch tv??? Three tv’s??? Best rig out there at this time. Was looking at Dutch star but now I have reservations ✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻
43:08 I'm A Beatle! ~ 43:34 Photog Bomber- Hi Toney! ~ 47:02 LMAO coming soon to a theatre near you! TWO MEN IN THE SHOWER caution: rated FSSA* (funniest shower scene anywhere).
Never thought I would enjoy watching a salesman’s video. Chris and Tony always do a great job.👍🏻
Thank you!
Chris and Tony, great job showing the driving of the 4020 Durtch Star. Would like to see how you back it into a campsite.
Next driving video we will cover parking.
The behind the wheel segment was excellent! Thank you.
Thank you and thanks for watching.

The test drive was very helpful. Also, love the wood valences! Very beautiful coach
Thank you!

Thanks for the comment, and YES Chris does look like Rick!
What a Insightful video on explaining how to properly operate an Rv I don’t think anybody can explain it better great job
Thank you Charlie

Nice video as always. Thanks for the review. I always enjoy watching your reviews.
Thank you
Very thorough review as always and interesting to hear your thoughts on the merger. The test drive was very informative I never thought to use the exhaust brakes on a level road like that but it makes sense to save the brakes.
Thanks Gene
Great video! Especially the part that you were behind the wheel. One reason why I want a Newmar is because of the comfort drive.
Thank you
I love the driving part, it does help.
Thank you!
Test drive was great. Would be nice to see a similar test loop in the next gasser you review.
I will try to make that happen! Thanks for watching.
Any plans to add the Newmar Super Star to your inventory? I would love to see a detailed video on that as well as seeing it driven like you did for this Dutch Star.
Right now that product is only being sold at 2 dealerships. They are a very limited production.
What are the basic differences between a Spartan Chassis and a Freightliner Chassis on the Dutch Star 4020? Is there an advantage to one over the other?
Thank you for taking the time to make this video love the coach doesn’t it come in a 35 ft Floorplan with the same Features

What is the difference between the 4020 and 4081 models. Hope you can answer this for me.

Don't bullshit yourself. I have been through a few mergers and somebody always gets screwed. I wish you and rest of MC the best with this merger.
Love the shower caps, Chris! Great coach for the size. Thanks!
Thank you Chris for keeping your videos 'ad free'. Does that well designed screen door carry over into the SuperStar? TY
I would think so, but we don't carry that model.
do you need air brake endorsement for your drivers license
how far are you from Nappanee Indiana?
One of your best videos Chris.

Thanku. Bath n half in a 40'? Oh my. Its a selling point now. We won't up grade our Dutch Star without it. Thankyou😎
Keep me in mind!
What is the exterior color of this coach question
Norfolk
Great video as usual. A couple of questions - In the Dutch Star line can you get the neo angle TV with fireplace instead of the 2nd couch and televator? Also can you get a queen bed with larger night stands?
Yes and yes....Give me a call for details

The tv in the basement storage takes up as much as you see as there is usually a water tank behind it.
Very good video, you create the video king aire....!!
Thank you, we don't carry the King Aire. Sorry. Check with Angie at National indoor RV, she has some great King Aire videos.
I'll buy as long as it comes with the two handmaidens stored in the shower. Cheap labor is always a bonus.
We may come, but we aren't cheap :)
Haha "Handmaidens"
Is anyone going to do full length video on 2020 king aire?
I'd love to, but we don't carry those and the video might be 3 hours long.
Does the generator slide out?
Yes
Any engine breaking on a gas engine...? Just breaks in the mountains ?
Gas motorhomes built on a ford chassis have a transmission brake. It does mostly the same things.
Good vid ya'll.
Thank you!
Are you always running some engine breaking? Does it turn ?
I use the engine brake whenever I'm on the interstate. I think it gets annoying in stop and go conditions.
Preheat engine? Not glow plugs?
The Cummins engine uses a single heater grid located in the intake of the engine instead of glow plugs. It does essentially the same thing, it warms up the incoming air charge during cold starts.
What is the size of the fuel tank?
100 gallons on 40' models.....150 on 43'.
Chris as one Big Guy too another you are looking good did you loss 100 lds more or not as much!
OMG OMG
Had to START OVER OMG OMG
Chris, would like your take on Newmar selling out to Winnebago. Very disappointed. Thanks and keep up the great videos!!!
