There's a street in Edinburgh called Leith Walk, and it's filled with Chinese takeaways, and no one took the opportunity to call their restaurant Leith Wok. Such a wasted opportunity. Lol.
Love Kevin, best comedian around today, I am in my sixties so as a family we didn't have take aways, but in the 1970s Friday night was definitely take away night, but there used to be a lot of us to share the cost, I think the difference between your generation and mine is we were bought up cooking meals from scratch, I put this video on when I sat down to eat my tea, pork chop, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli, it took me half hour to cook, I am on my own but still cook every day for myself, then there is the cost you will get to the age where you will not keep putting up with been ripped off, I'm not an old fuddy duddy, like you I never carry cash. 🥰

I totally agree. We order in about times a week. I'm in Aberdeen so it's rare that we recognise who delivers to us. Technology has made it so easy to be lazy when it comes to home cooking haha!! but i find it a good way to try new things too.
In days of yore, long long ago when I smoked, it was the 'pizza delivery cigarette' ... waiting for a pizza to be delivered, you could guarantee it arriving as soon as you lit the cigarette ...!
This, verbatim, happened some years ago when calling for a Chinese takeaway::
Me: "Good evening, I'd like to order a takeaway for delivery please"
Takeaway: "The usual?"
Me: "yes, please"
Takeaway: "Ok, bye"

Yet I have no memory of meeting him, as he either wasn't famous at the time, or I hadn't seen Concrete Playground yet.
He lived somewhere in my ex-workmates neighbourhood, so used to come shopping at my work, and I used to serve him a lot apparently.

You won't cook broccoli, all you do is steam it, ,ou can steam nearly any veg so its just laziness.
Cut down on the takeaways Eddy, you'll pay dearly later in life if you carry on having 3 a week.
