The campaign included a musical number called "It's Fizzy, It's Ginger, It's Phenomenal" performed by the school's students. The campaign also featured an 18-year-old Jack Lowden, who played a role similar to Zac Efron's in the Disney film High School Musical. Lowden sang and danced in the halls of Auchendookit Senior High.
The older ads played on the statement that it is 'made from girders' and somehow gave you superhuman strength 🤣 From the 90s onwards it was a different strategy, to make the ads absurd, radicicolous and funny, something you'd be talking about in the playground the next day.

British humor is all about taking the piss out of ourselves, and it's really sad that we seem to have lost that.

The match was on the 15th of April 1967 and the final score was England 2 - Scotland 3.
Europeans usually allows a lot more on their adverts and these ads are quite tame compared to many other ads I've seen over the years lol. We seem to be far more open then the US on what can be shown.
You can still get all Barr juices in glass bottles in Scotland. You need to try Red Kola, Cola with a K. They have another traditional style Cola and a few other fruit flavored drinks too
