    When you were standing with John in front of the bonnet all I could see was my old LA Lancer bonnet. The first car I painted in 1986 at 18 years old. No doubt the Japanese were big copiers.

    I noticed they used 20lt drums to stand on to reach the roof. Thought it would be safer to have a little bench seat to stand on. More stable.

      @@AstillDesign Howard it was a little bit of the basecoat binder when I stirred the replacement tinter, as you are aware a new can of tinter the pigment settles to the bottom and a little must splashed into the lid rim lock and I never sore it before putting the stirer back on the can my mistake. Short answer a little bit of Basecoat Binder was the clear drops. Good pick up nothing gets past these veiwers.😁

    What is the effect of changing the pressure on the gun from 1.3 bar to 2 bar?

    • @BogDustForBreakfast
      @BogDustForBreakfast 9 месяцев назад +1

      Higher atomisation. Generally gains a flatter finish, mostly changed for clear coat application

    • @BogDustForBreakfast
      @BogDustForBreakfast 9 месяцев назад +1

      Also spraying thicker materials like clear requires more air

      Same pressure for 2nd clear then?

    • @BogDustForBreakfast
      @BogDustForBreakfast 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@beauzo9965 in most cases 2bar or 29psi is recommended for clear application. Same pressure, same gun setup, distance and speed for further coats . 2 coats is recommended but more can be applied for different applications. Best to read the TDS for further info . I shouldn’t take over Howard’s comments lol . Sorry Howard 🫣
