Excellent plot twist. I especially appreciate the subtle touch the author applied in laying down hints leading to the big reveal. Seriously, of all the horror narration channels I'm subscribed to, I know I can always rely on the good doctor to pick a good story.
Shit that twist; kind of snuck up on me. I guessed they were humans being hunted by a non-human military force (like Daybreakers)... exactly the opposite, though xD
ok that was just sadistic. told ya I'm alone cabin sitting in the woods . I'm freaking out! didn't help I watched Evil Dead. I want to go home! pretty good apocalyptic. love the intro.
Evil Dead...the ultimate cabin-in-the-woods horror. Or at least the best cult classic. Somehow hilarious and terrifying at the same time. The mother looking out of the chained trap door, singing a lullaby... Something about that has always creeped me out.
I'm no evil omen! >:( marvelous as always, Doc! Scary stuff, I'm visualizing it in a stylized, animated, dark with closeups of feet on the roof, etc. [That's what I get for spending my first weekday of spring break binge watching some I guess. ]
after I saw the word twist when I checked the comments I thought the rest of the story "yep these fuckers ain't human" never have I thought I would root for the monster
Will there be more to this story then? That's very exciting. Very rarely does my wish come true with narrations like this, where the story does continue on in a series fashion. I think it would be beyond epic if a channel as well produced as yours, would do a continous series, much like old school radio shows. With a new episode weekly/bi-weekly, where the listener can really dig into the characters, listening as characters develope and the plot thickens. Scary story time with Liam is about the only channel i know doing that and I would so love to hear your deliciously creepy yet enticing voice in something like that, as well as these short creepypastas. I wish I had your skills/talent, I'm not at all tech savvy and a "never ending" series would be an insane amount of work and time. So I am content in these mini-series and absolutely love your voice and your channel. You always have stories I've heard nowhere else and you are just an amazing narrator. I'm like a kid in a candy story, loving everything and always wanting more, lol. If you've read this far, thank you so much for indulging me with my ramblings, if you didn't...well who can fault you that, lol. Much love to you, Doctor. XOXOXO
This is a great idea! I wrote this on a whim to try to get it onto CreepyPasta and after all the wonderful feedback.. I kind of want to keep playing with this storyline! I'd love to continue it and twist it even further into the rabbit hole. Perhaps it'll be something I look into in the near future! Thank you again!
*casually scanning comments to enjoy the compliments to the autor and narrator sees "plot twist" everywhere* welp. Time to stop browsing. Thank you, non-spoiling compliments!
Excellent Dr. Chilling act of bravery while trying to survive. Makes you wonder what they did to be hunted so who needed to be destroyed the ones on the run or the ones doing the hunting. 🖤
Vampires trusted the government to treat them fairly...I get the allegory, but...not sure vampires work given many reasons. 1. Just like some humans, many more would have much more innate tendency to exert superiority and relish the hunt. 2. How in the world was such a thing normalized in the first place and not this scenario occur when first revealing themselves? 3. If even immortal or having long lifespan, that comes with experience, so wouldn't vampires be in key positions to prevent such a thing? Once you're weaker than the weak, you've already lost. Not sure of the determination at the end and not when her lover sacrificed himself, but very modern vampire story. In all that entails.
I think they are drawing parallels to our current state of discrimination in this country. Same concept. A group of seeming different individuals being targeted and erased due to fear of what could be and control of power. I think this is why work is mentioned...i.e. Hispanic origins.
Dr. Creepen Well, I will tell you, after the first book there are only similarities with the show. The first one is the only one that goes completely like the first book. However...one of the later seasons is very close to my favorite book. When Eric loses him memory. So, that is a good one. Hahaha. I'd say give em a read if you get a chance. And try not to let Sookie piss you off. She is kinda whiney. ;)
Unfortunately, that's the danger. Innocent people (and I guess vampires count as people) get swept up when others of their demographic commit atrocities. We obviously shouldn't blame them all, but when you get rhetoric that we shouldn't even punish the criminals for fear of hurting the feelings of non-criminals, we cause the pendulum to swing in the other direction. Hm...just gave myself an idea. Hey Doc, if I write a horror story, would you consider reading it?
Allegorically speaking, this can be any group. Hell, I’m a white, Christian, male, gun owner, and according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, that makes me a terrorist. I have no criminal record, not even a driving infraction, and I’m considered a terrorist due to my property, my religion, amount of Melanin in my skin, and sex. That’s a true to life example.
My recorded reading is much more calm than it was in my head but I was going to set it to more urgent sounding music. This has changed my mind about that though.
absolutely fabulous story! I can absolutely see a story line starting with this, or even a terrific movie. I loved the idea of the vampires being hunted, and dying because they had become civilized. But now, with this one vampire, the hunted will now become the hunters! The humans have reaped an undying hatred in this one opponent, and he will take the battle to them. He will learn how to use his powers, and teach his pursuers the meaning of fear. Maybe that is why his friend saved him at such a cost, because he saw the potential of him becoming a new vampire lord. Heavens, I would love to hear a followup to this story.
Heyyy! We nearly got the real you in that intro my lad! Loved it...Was much better on my ears! I do however realise that your majority female fan club love the deep drawly Dr persona. I am however, in the minority, I love you for your beautiful flawless reading, your pronunciation, tone and inflection are always spot on. From one linguist to another, I appreciate your hidden qualities .. 😚
I thought for sure, right up until about the 16-17 minute mark, that this was like The Walking Dead...and then...DEFIANCE! Man, I miss that show...St. Louis, aliens? Right? No wait...vampires?! TruBlood?! TRUE BLOOD! Such fun listening and trying to figure out what show it was that you were trying not to mention in the beginning! Just started watching your videos, and I am enjoying them immensely!
Whoa!!!! You are one of my favorites. I listen to you at work. (I own a housecleaning company) sometimes i get myself all freaked out cuz i am in these houses by myself and sometimes things make noise or i see shadows out the corner of my eye. You have inspired me to write a story and post it to see if you'll read it
Fantastic read, as always. I honestly wouldn't have known the TV series (as I've never seen it save for a few random clips). Dang it! Now I need to get into yet another fandom! Hope you're feeling better, Doctor....and if you are, can ya send some of that healing mojo along the way to this sick little bat? ;)
oh shit man I don't have my favorite drink, just a normal one!!! what should I do?!?!? haha nice intro tho, that was awesome seriously, I'm really excited n anxious to hear it now! so here it goes....
mm hmm so it's not just me then..❤ * watches doc start running away * where you going hon giggles. just being cheeky with you love. really do enjoy your silky voice and channel. you do this so very well ❤
Love the post apocalyptic end of world stories! Make one wonder how soon our current occupants of this wonderful blue marble will destroy the very area they call home
***spoilers below*** After they first saw the men in black, I started thinking it would make sense if they were something typically considered an enemy of humans. The comment that they shouldn’t be here anymore. My first thought was zombies, but that didn’t make sense. After the bus station, I considered the possibility of them being vampires, but wasn’t certain until it named the drink. It makes me wonder if any event(s) led to the end of their acceptance, or if, as it seems, it was simply the zealous agenda of a new political leader. Excellent story and narration as always, sir Doctor.
It took me a bit-but I got it well before the end. Tremendous take tho! Loved it. Freshened up the...genre a bit so to speak. And as always a very...juicy rendition by our fav Doc! You know Em. Cee you would make a fine....bloodsucker lol! Or....zombie king. They should make a film of this with you as the star. Or Zak maybe? They could always change the ending a bit so he(you) survives to fight. Thanks DocC.😍😈😎
This reminds me so much of Vincent Price's 'Last Man on Earth'. He was a sensational actor and very high complement. You could very easily do voice over for Vincent Price ❤
No guns in the group, in the USA? That's a stretch. Might make more sense with a sentence like, 'We might of had a fighting chance before they confiscated all our guns but now bows and blades were all we could get.' Even vampires need guns.
I certainly hope so. If you couldn't see where I was coming from, you really shouldn't be driving. Especially with Blade on top of your car, stabbing a sword through your roof like that. I mean, it's embarrassing! People would talk!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent plot twist. I especially appreciate the subtle touch the author applied in laying down hints leading to the big reveal. Seriously, of all the horror narration channels I'm subscribed to, I know I can always rely on the good doctor to pick a good story.
Absolutely agree; it was subtle enough that you could easily miss it if you weren't paying attention!
Shit that twist; kind of snuck up on me.
I guessed they were humans being hunted by a non-human military force (like Daybreakers)... exactly the opposite, though xD
There were a few hints in there, but it was still pretty subtle.
I love stories with a monster or villain protagonist like this
He said it was True Blood he was talking about
Seraephus
I was imagining something along the lines of The Fifth Wave, and boy was I wrong!
If you can find any more Dystopian or Post-Apocalyptic horror, can you please read it? Doctor, please don't make me beg...🌹
Will do!
Dr. Creepen HELL YESSSS
Great idea!
Make her BEG 😈😈😈😈😂😉
aww that was a great and sad story
I was debating whether or not the protagonist and their friends were humans at all.
The story was just ambiguous enough to keep you thinking they were human but still have you wondering.
ok that was just sadistic. told ya I'm alone cabin sitting in the woods . I'm freaking out! didn't help I watched Evil Dead. I want to go home! pretty good apocalyptic. love the intro.
I should do relaxed natural intros instead of the serious stuff???
yes. Til Wednesday. with happy birds chirping everywhere. I think I saw a Camp Crystal Lake sign just up the road
I hear it's got *a death curse*.
Dr. Creepen crazy Ralph
Evil Dead...the ultimate cabin-in-the-woods horror. Or at least the best cult classic. Somehow hilarious and terrifying at the same time.
The mother looking out of the chained trap door, singing a lullaby... Something about that has always creeped me out.
omg don't know if the chills are because of the food poisoning or the way you narrated that bad ass story. loved it
Glad you liked it that much, Barbara!
Screw the shady humans. I'm rooting for the vampires.;)
I love your chirpy intro and how relaxed you are with us, as if you're talking to a close friend. :)
I think I should maybe ditch the serious intros and do this all the time.
I'm no evil omen! >:(
marvelous as always, Doc! Scary stuff, I'm visualizing it in a stylized, animated, dark with closeups of feet on the roof, etc.
[That's what I get for spending my first weekday of spring break binge watching some I guess. ]
:-) It would be good in animated form.
Thank you so much for doing this to my story! =D You did amazing narrating it and I'm so happy to see so many enjoyed it! Kudos!!
I really enjoyed this one; very happy that you approve of my narration :-9
Very good dear Dr! Wasn't expecting that, for sure!! Thanks for keeping us entertained!! Hugs!
Thanks for the hugs, Loretta :-)
very well done as always our velvet voiced Dr, lol seems u have bewitched more searching souls=) Bravo
A few more folk have found the channel, yes!
after I saw the word twist when I checked the comments I thought the rest of the story "yep these fuckers ain't human" never have I thought I would root for the monster
Always beware the comments section!
Oh man this is incredibly well written, and well read thanks doc for narrating this story. I'm vot that big on vampire horror but this was great
Another amazing narration as always, great work.
Thanks, Gabe.
Herman to St Louis? Find a boat and take the river probably be your safest bet.....
Although having grown up in St Louis I can tell you you're probably safer just staying in Hermann and dealing with shit there.....
this wud b an amazing series. I really hope the narrator continues it and that if so u will keep narrating it. excellent all around. xoxo
Looking forward to it continuing!

I'm not sure... I've informed the author of my narration, so hopefully they'll drop by, read all the nice comments and feel inspired!
This is a great idea! I wrote this on a whim to try to get it onto CreepyPasta and after all the wonderful feedback.. I kind of want to keep playing with this storyline! Olaris Oh! You absolutely should! I love this story and am just dieing to hear it played out. Now quick, off to your computer, lol. ;-)
Oh what a glorious story! So vivid! loved it, loved the end!
Something about this one really appealed to me.
*casually scanning comments to enjoy the compliments to the autor and narrator sees "plot twist" everywhere* welp. Time to stop browsing.
Thank you, non-spoiling compliments!
not crazy about the story, but I always enjoy hearing your wonderful voice, dear Dr. ;)😗

Great story you are the man thanks
Oooooh...very True Blood-esque! I miss that show! Granted, I loved the books as much. Just differently.
I still haven't gotten round to reading the books!

And try not to let Sookie piss you off. She is kinda whiney. ;)
She was kinda whiney in the show at times too. The 'witch' season was one of my faves!
Dr. Creepen It was awesome! My least favorite season was the Maenad one. It was pointless and boring to me. Haha
It's practically tradition for me to stay up to listen to these narrations! :D Thanks a lot, Doc!
Hope I'm not keeping you up too late!
MANNY~EmberDim
seeing the notification for your narrations always brightens up my day or night hun thank you 💜
Very happy to be of service!

Hm...just gave myself an idea. Hey Doc, if I write a horror story, would you consider reading it?
I think this one was very allegorical: replace 'vampire' with 'minority group' and it's a sadly possible scenario.
Doc, I live all your stories. Your one if my top favorite creeps to listen to. Great job.
So glad I have all these stories to catch up on while waiting on new ones. Thanks :)
Love a good twist. Truly good storytelling! Thank you, Dr. C Stay well.
Just want to thank you. THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing what you do
You could read any product ingredience list to me and i would still be fascinated and listen to the end.
Very kind of you to say so :-)
perhaps this is one of your best
I think it's one of my personal favorites already.
Interesting story, it definitely leaves you wanting more. Thanks Doc.
I would love there to be follow ups.
Lol, I did expect my drawing to be at the end that was an unexpected surprise! Beautiful narrating as usual Doc!
I really appreciate the art that people produce and your beautiful work is now 'in rotation'! Thank you again :-)
And I thank you as well , my good friend. :)
yes. fight them all! loved this story doctor. I look forward to the next prescription.
Wicked twist indeed! Thank you for narrating this story!
This one's backstory is too confusing for me
I kind of felt the backstory was important, though.
Wonderful. I had read it as being more of a panicked and urgent story but the slower more menacing tone works on it so well. 🕷️
I kind of felt that by the time the protagonist had sat down to write this, they would have reached a point of calm determination.
My recorded reading is much more calm than it was in my head but I was going to set it to more urgent sounding music. This has changed my mind about that though.

✌ With my Favorite Strain 👹
Oh yes!
Riiiight!! Lol. Same here. Thank God they legalized it here
I thought for sure, right up until about the 16-17 minute mark, that this was like The Walking Dead...and then...DEFIANCE! Man, I miss that show...St. Louis, aliens? Right? No wait...vampires?! OMG...I hope there is a sequal to this Creepen! NICE!
If there is, I'll be narrating it!

haha nice intro tho, that was awesome seriously, I'm really excited n anxious to hear it now!
so here it goes....
This is great story so far...a vampire survival story...cool....bring on the next part...
you get me all excited when you pop up like that
L.andM.E ASMR
excited??? Doctor Creepen has a close knit group of groupies & we follow him closely on here. 😂😂😂
Tiffany Benefield I had noticed that ;)
His voice it's so smooth and sexy just like warm melted butter so yummy yess much love Sexy Grandma ✌💘
ummmm yes grandma you're certainly right. 😇😇😇
mm hmm so it's not just me then..❤ * watches doc start running away * where you going hon giggles. just being cheeky with you love.
really do enjoy your silky voice and channel. you do this so very well ❤
Very Well Done! Didn't see the twist coming.
I have to say I really enjoyed that flipped perspective :-)
I kind of sensed it coming, but it was ambiguous enough to be a surprise.
Intense, I like it.
Excellent as always my friend.
Thank you :-)
I was thinking Vamps, Mutants, or Intelligent zombies. Glad it turned out 1/3 lol.
I was also thinking it might be 'I am legend.'
Awesome twist. Made a part 2 worth while I think
Love the post apocalyptic end of world stories! Make one wonder how soon our current occupants of this wonderful blue marble will destroy the very area they call home
Interesting........... I do love your voice it's creepy and sensually titillating at the same time :), and I even subscribed !
I love it! It would be so easy to make that story into movie😊
Definitely agree.
Great story and amazing narration!!
Thanks, Neha.
Well, I Didn't see that ending coming 👏👏👏👏👏

Here I am warning of spoilers for a year old video. But I just found it, so I suppose others will as well.
It took me a bit-but I got it well before the end. Tremendous take tho! Loved it. Freshened up the...genre a bit so to speak. And as always a very...juicy rendition by our fav Doc! You know Em. I used to love that show too! The messed it up so bad in the last few episodes.
Meloney Gardner So true! Great series, terrible finale.
Once again Dr. Creepen you did not disappoint me.........Team Vampire.
Doris... :-)
2nd or 3rd time on this story. Great , I live it. Greg Chaney
Ataboy another great narration
;-)
once again beautiful
:-)
Ah damn I was really hoping it wouldn't be a vampire one 😣
I love apocalypse stories 😝
This reminds me so much of Vincent Price's 'Last Man on Earth'. He was a sensational actor and very high complement. You could very easily do voice over for Vincent Price ❤
I love a good vampire story!
Great story! Didn't want it to end. Lol..
Awesome story!
Glad you liked it!
love the twist in the end
ANOTHER GREAT STORY NARRATED BY YOU!!!
No guns in the group, in the USA? That's a stretch. Might make more sense with a sentence like, 'We might of had a fighting chance before they confiscated all our guns but now bows and blades were all we could get.' Even vampires need guns.
Would love a sequel to this one...
Excellent. True Blood anyone?!?
My first thought exactly!
What's up doc! Thanks for another amazing narration!
You're very welcome, Cody!
This story is five years ago so I'm hoping there has been follow up stories 😁
Please let me know where they are.
I love a vampire story
i thought this was black vs white
It could very easily be.
The night of the Creepen. Stand up and fight fight fight..
It sounds like a friend of mine wrote this... All the names are so familiar to me, and so coincidental
To the author, Charlaine Harris would be proud!
Well done. 🤗from🍁
Screw vampires! Go us!
good story omg cool vampires nice one , i was think what they was
love a good end of the world.
You and me both!
Damnit, that's IT.
I'm calling Blade......
I can see where you're coming from!
I certainly hope so. If you couldn't see where I was coming from, you really shouldn't be driving. Especially with Blade on top of your car, stabbing a sword through your roof like that. I mean, it's embarrassing! People would talk!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice twist, but I was thinking werewolf.
More post apocalypse creepy pasta please!?
I give you cookie for more.
Rise up stand up
Support your BLOOD rights
Feed the monster within
😍😘😲😲😲😲👹👹👹
Very good!
seriously tho...this was awesome.
Soooooo. Predator becomes the prey. And gets yeeted. Noice.
Would the polar opposite of the television program this reminds you of be the words False Water?
Something like that!
That's how to deal with vampires you hunt them down and Destroy them even the sparkly ones
Bon Temps forever baby!! Bill&Sookie!!!
Good story and narration
That was good thanks Doc
They didn't find out you were in the old Mill... Just obviously shit happens at old mills
