- I know that Wednesday's short vid, as fabulous a story as it was, left you wanting more. I hope tonight's half-hour story will fully assuage your hunger ;-)
This is a fantastic listener submitted story; since I set up a sub-r-ddit for you to post stories you'd like me to read I've really been rewarded with some incredible pieces of writing. Thank you to everyone for trusting me to do a good job of narrating your work. The offer remains open to anyone else who has a story for me!
Have a fantastic weekend, everyone. I'll be back again on Monday and hope you'll join me again then...

I listened to this in the bath and in the dark......I now live in the bath.
I can think of worse places.
I bet you are wrinkly!
That's what i do
That’s hilarious 🤣
When your favorite creepypasta narrator tells a scary story about your home town, and its a half hour?! You sir have made my weekend.
Very glad to hear that, Sara :-)
25 year resident. Love the 'Burgh and its history and paranormal tales.
I'm so glad you read horror stories. This genre provides far more opportunities for you to say the word blood, drop your voice even lower, and (of course) bust out the evil laugh. Thank you for being heaven on earth. Xxx
Its stories of dark pasts with in countries that drive the best stories out of people. Sometimes the darkest stories come out of parts we wish to forget. Your voice was marvelous for this one Doctor. Nicely done
Many thanks, Andrea!
I am not easily unsettled, but that one got me. Cheers to You, Doc, and the author both. Well done!
Revisiting this one after 8 months, this might be my fav
Clicked on it because it had Pittsburgh in the title and I live in Pittsburgh. But I'm not disappointed. Keep up the good work
Is it just me or does anyone else want to take up drinking every time they hear the doctors intros?? 😁
Hope I'm not giving anyone a serious drinking problem!
I saw Pittsburgh and was so fast to click it! My hometown!
Sneaky of me... it's set outside of Pittsburgh. Sorry for that!
Dr. Creepen I can tell that by the story. It's a very beautiful, forest covered area with lots of hills and gorgeous sights to see around and outside of the city. I actually live in one of those beautiful towns outside of Pittsburgh now
I'm in Pittsburgh and love these stories.great city to ghost and creature hunt.
Never been, would like to visit someday.
Horror Alley it absolutely is. All of Pa is actually. Between the wars here and the old mines, there is plenty of unrest around here.
@@savvyivyrose2001 I grew up in Philly, but work just of the city. Valley Forge is currently 10 minutes away from me right now. It is a VERY BIG park. You couldn't pay me to walk that park at night.
I've listened to this many times and each time I replay this story----Its as if I'm hearing it for the very first time----I always find something new when I imagine each character----Thank You--Doc---
Hmm pale white skin, snake man.....Voldermort, Is that you?!
He's hanging out in PA these days.
You should have a million sub. You're voice is so perfect for narration, keep up the good work 👍😁
Very kind of you to say so :-)
I think it's awesome that you read all the stories that people send in.
I got stuck in my 4x4 yesterday, this was a good one
It was lovely to get an extra dose from the good Dr this week, and then to finish with a bit of "Local lore". An American listener loves to listen
Another great story ❤ thank you!
You're very welcome :-)
Long time listener and fan, keep up the fantastic work. :)
Will do :-)
A story about my hometown, I'm so happy. I don't know how I missed this one before. I have my cocoa and I'm ready to listen. 💙
I tapped so fast I almost broke a nail,

WOW! I really....really liked this story! Superb narration too, of course!
Thanks, Rebecca!
*GENIUS WHOOOO*
Phenomenal!! This story was amazingly written and perfectly read ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you, Dr Creepen for reading stories that actually scare me!
Hands down my favorite Narrator, I mean MrCreepypasta has the feeling, Creepsmcpasta has the brit accent. But you have the gravely voice that makes me hang on every word. My favorite one you narrated was Ellie and Elmer. Anywho I hope you had a wonderful day!!! Stay Spooky bro!
Glad you like the vids... 'Ellie & Elmer' is my personal fave too!
And you had me thanking my lucky stars, Im from Kittanning P.A About 1 hour from Pittsburgh NO SERPENT MAN SHALL GET ME!
Yeah I'm an hour south if the burgh, so we are safe... Oh carp wait its set outside of Pittsburgh and the guy is trying to drive home to it. Oh well the only place I've seen some really white things slithering through the streets is the Mon valley but those are normally crack heads trying to get in cars for change and whatever else they can carry.
@@cannibalwithmunchies1209 you are spot on the other two are great but no one compares to the Doctor.
Agh I'm from Pittsburgh. The real nightmare is the traffic.
I live in Istanbul; don't tell me about traffic!
And the forever fixing of the liberty tubes.. lol
Pittsburgh is definitely like this. So many potholes in the road.
awesome American folklore pre civil rights era
Indeed it was; glad you enjoyed it, Edith.
by the time I get your stories, I have had several of my favorite drinks.
Perfect preparation, I'd say!
Interesting 🧐 I liked it 🤔👍🏽👏👏👏
I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I grew up hearing about this legend.
What a delightful tidbit. I so enjoyed the uniqueness of this. And Doctor, your delicious storytelling has me quite entralled..... Until next time my dear friend.
Damn, well written. One of the more terrifying tales. You are a great story teller. Thank you and i mean that.
I'm a yinzer (western pa/Pittsburgh person) so let's see how good this is.
Another excellent story by my favorite Dr...
Karen Arceneaux 😉
yay favorite drink time! *gets lemonade*
Good choice!
Your voice is like ASMR. I love these narrations so much.
Very happy to hear it, Riku!
Dr. Creepen I'm glad ^^
Riku Yoshirou
pardon me, but what is ASMR? I keep seeing those letters...
i had to listen i only live 45 min away from Pittsburgh
Hope it doesn't give you too many nightmares!
Dr. Creepen It didnt but im not gonna be visiting anytime soon
I only live 45 minutes away from Pitt as well...so I had to listen lol
Same hear 40 mins south of pittsburgh
This was the best story I've heard in a long time! There is something about the perfect balance of excellent writing and your superb narration style that makes for an incomparable horror experience. I was transported to the car on the muddy road in that unnatural fog, terrified, waiting, trapped, wondering if I am about to die. Really, what else could happen? Then, the co-workers show up and rescue me -- but they're the reason I am there in the first place! I can understand that when the main character returned for answers, he had no strength left to be angry at them. No one was laughing, anyway. And one man was missing/dead. The "pranksters" had paid with a life of their own.
Maybe someone should chop down that tree where all those people were murdered. I don't know if would help, though.
I am curious whether this is an actual legend. I will try to find out.
I would love if you would narrate more from this author. Thank you! 😊😊😊
Rachel V K Try the Nosleep Podcast - season 2, episode 23. The final story of the episode.
Matt Beez Thank you. I will.
i must say, one of the best narrators on youtube with undoubtedly the best stories. thanks, you do a brilliant job.
Very kind of you to say so!
your voice is like warm honey running down my throat 😩😂😂
Yesss so delicious mmm much love Sexy Grandma ✌💘
Willow Augustine very sweet of you to say so!
Hahaha
I've seen a creature similar to the one in this story while I was camping in the backwoods of Kentucky...
There's a reason why people want you to narrate their stories. The doc ALWAYS does the material justice.
thank you
You're welcome :-)
Born and raised in Pittsburgh and I've encountered and been through so much crazy shit... from the shadowman to something throwing bark at me and my boy, to lights that stop and ping pong direction and doesn't come out of the other side of clouds.
wow that was a an awesome story. really creepy delivery , good background story for the serpent man, all in all a well written, great horror yarn . 🤓🙌
This hits close to home
I love how active you are in the comments!!
I try my best but it's becoming increasingly difficult!
It's been a terribly rough week, Doc! Thanks for helping me relax with one of your fantastic narrations! ;)
My pleasure, as always!
Bollocks! Really brought back driving through Pennsylvanian mountain roads. I was alone and lost; no one awake for miles. (shiver)
Thank you for freaking me out! Good work!
Very good story Dr.. love your work man..
Thank you :-9
I had to stop listening to this alone at night because as a child both me and my sister had nightmares with snake-humans.
You are the only narrator who's videos I like before listening to. Thank you for doing what you do. :)
Rocky Beret I'll try hard to never disappoint!
My appetiite has been satiated im no longer hungry. Thank You Dr. 👌👌👌👌😊
Honestly Pennsylvania is full of strange places and creatures
I'd love to visit some day.
This is why you respect snakes and the like.
Indeed!
Three years later hearing this now, I live born & raised in Pittsburgh ( second most livable city in the United States the first being Honolulu) and thought this was pretty creepy and cool. Lots of history often overlooked.
I just discovered this one, and am quite impressed.
Thank you good doctor, you have definitely started my weekend off right, even if I have to work......retail grrrrrrrr...:-)
Doris Tamalis I feel ypur pain!
Lol, thank you
That was a real good story, Doc..👍..
U have the talent of 'the voice'!!!
Thank u for sharing ur gift of storytelling..
Another great one and creepy as hell!
Ok, in that situation your car giving out a death rattle would be the absolute last thing I would want to here. And as far as the title of this story goes, Pittsburgh pretty much IS a horror story...
I shall watch your both recent videos but I shall comment what is deserved for each and every one. :) Nice video doctor. :)
Always appreciated, Leonardo.
✌ Evening DOC 👹
Hi Bil.
lessons learned:
1. don't drive in the middle of nowhere by yourself.
2. if you must drive in the middle of nowhere by yourself At LEAST have a solid truck that will go through anything.
Oh my this one was good!! I had thrown a few logs in the fireplace and it seemed to go well with the story!!
Best place to be listening, in front of the fire.
I love my fire place It was what made me fall in love with my house :) chopping wood is good exercise also :D I will be sad when it gets to hot to light a fire indoors (then I'll just build a fire pit outdoors :))
Aw yes I get to hear my favorite Dr with a breakfast burrito and my favorite drink in hand
DR creepen you're stories r so good I hit the like button before I listen cuz I know it is good.
Very much appreciated... hope they never let you down!
Dr. Creepen
oh Doctor Creepen is the best.
This definitely satisfied my hunger for a good story. Thanks, Doc. 😙
Glad to hear it, Kendra!
This reading felt like an episode of the X-files!
All your readings are amazing but, I could clearly see the smoke and fog in my mind. I think maybe I'll take a more populated route on my way home from now on, ha-ha.
I'm going to search around and see if this author has any other works I'd like. If they're all written as well as this one, I don't doubt it. Thanks for another awesome reading, Dr Creepen.
A/N
Also, I'm not the greatest author but I've been thinking of polishing up and old story I wrote from my English class high school. My teacher actually made a copy to show as an example to other classes so I felt really proud and kept it.
Make no mistake, this isn't to brag or toot my own horn because in all honesty, it's not my personal favourite of my works but many people liked it and since it was for a Halloween free write, exploring the genre of horror; I figure it'd be fitting. I may consider sending it to you.
Sincerely,
EpisodeP (Sugaepisodes)
Never trust directions that use time rather than distance, especially not when they give you a tree to use as a landmark when you're driving through a FUCKING FOREST......
24:26 the way you said “demon” instantly reminded me of the arbiter from halo
Great way to wake up and have a coffee before getting up 😁
Sounds like a good way to start the day!
Not near Pittsburgh, but loved it still! Have a good weekend, Doc!
Same to you, MR!
awesome story! thanks so much for this Friday treat!
You're very welcome!
Sssssssensational!
I like the new avatar, Lloyd!
Dr. Creepen Thank you, I'm also a big fan of that particular Doctor.
awesome story
Glad you liked it, Roy!
Woah, awesome, so cool to see a story from my hometown! I've lived here in Pittsburgh my whole life so far, I'll keep a lookout for this monster next time I'm dahntahn lol great narration as always Doc! P.S: GO PENS! :)
Happy to see so many Pittsburgh folk enjoying this story!
no wonder they leave their stories for you to narrate..you really have a great reading voice. I would even go so far as to say, you're better than some of the 'Audible' narrators (also the other Audio book readers but Audible seems to be the biggest) If I were you, I would be sending tapes to the big publishing houses because audio is getting bigger and better. Besz wishes x
Many thanks for the kind words and the suggestion :-)
Its nothing but the truth x
that moment when try n ask some one for lift and they freak out and run you over because they think your a snake man but really you were just at a costume party.
Oh this was such a delightful story! I've always had a fondness for these kind of tales - almost like the classic urban legends.
Really glad you liked it!
Pittsburgh is horrifying enough without the snake people.
That bad???
Hardly. I love Pittsburgh
Dr. Creepen Yeah, it's pretty shady. And that's coming from someone who has lived in St. Louis and Detroit......
@@TheMattc999 i call bullshit, wilkinsburgh maybe but not Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh is great.
It's my Hometown. Love these stories. Now Dr Creepen..
We had stories in the South Hills area of a Greenish Blue lightening man. He lurked in the woods near Brookline.
We stayed out of the woods, because of the stories. Suposedly he was struck by lightening as a young man,and lived in the abandon coal mines that were throughout the area. Never saw him. Lol
Loved it! :) You have such beautiful thumbnail pictures, powerful and calming, like Your voice.. :) I promise, I'm not a stalker! ;)
Haha... I do spend a lot of time trying to find an image that fits the mood of the story.
A perfect way to end a long night. Thank you!
You're very welcome.
A huge creepy snake-man? Someone call Yig and tell him one of his offspring is somehow in Pittsburgh.
I've been to Pittsburgh several times, so I can relate.
Love your voice! great stories.
Oooo!!! That was a creepy one!! I really liked it!! Great one for telling around a campfire, late at night!! "Shivers!" Thanks, you picked a Great one!! Have a Terrific weekend!!
Hope you had a good one :-)
I'd be like, "Fuck you, I'm going the way I know."
Eeeek. I was out tending to my garden a little bit ago and a snake slithered out from under one of my wood barrel pots. So I thought I would listen to a snake 🐍 story. And another Eeeeeeeeeek. Thanks Doc!!!
I want to hear a story about the Florida Man.
OK, I'll see what I can do.
Loved this. Great narration as always mate.
Glad you enjoyed it :-)
Awesome read Doc,This was a good pick luv. Flawless delivery as always....... you never let me down:) Definite kudos for the writer, this was good!!
Really glad you enjoyed it :-)
Dr. Creepen Always. You are one of my absolute favs, narration ALWAYS flawless, & tht silky voice Doc ;) Your fans kno tht voice as soon as you start speaking ♡ Perfection.

You're extremely welcome :-)
I'm listening 🤗
:-)
Doctor Creepen
I should totally write my story to you. Pittsburgh seems to be Keen for ghost sightings recently!
Im from Pittsburgh i cant believe i never heard this one lol
wonderful i love it and your narations. have you ever thought of narrating a non horror video as reprieve playlist? dont get me wrong i love your creepy pasta videos and i always find myself jumping with glee when i get the notification of one of your vids. im only asking cuz i love your voice and how you do stories. I'm working on a novel and i think your voice would be perfect for reading it. annd its a fantasy adventure not creepy pasta.
I've never really thought about it but wouldn't rule it out either.
Dr. Creepen okay ill send you my prolog/lore of my story and you can tell me weather or not you would be interested in givinig it a try if you would like
Who's watching this while traveling from Pittsburgh
I don't usually relax with a drink, I eat a popsicle!
Very interesting, since I live in Pittsburgh.
