  • The Image: One of those scenes you cannot forget if you are a little bit English/Welsh (American!?)
Apart from the wind whipping so maliciously and remorselessly at Angharad's wedding veils, I love how just for a moment, near the end, the man she really loves (Mr. Gruffydd) appears briefly (unseen by all) from behind the gravestone to watch Angharad and husband drive away in the horse and cart - then retreats just as silently behind the church - and fade to black. No words, all intimated. A lifetime of regret follows.
