    Two of the greats now gone. Maureen O'hara was always my favorite and Robert Osborne had a Hollywood library between those ears and was such a pleasure to hear him review movies on TCM. RIP to 2 Icons of the industry!

      I know this in a reply to the old comment, from 6 years ago... but:
      93, not only that...
      I wish I would live to that age now (not gonna happen), but also speak like that and have that kind of sharp mind at that age.
      Again.... not gonna happen, so it is all amazing to see at this point how amazing she was up to the end.

    I got to meet Ms O'Hara on her 93rd birthday in 2015 in Boise, ID. What a great lady and we talked about sharing the same birthday and she thought that was great. I loved this lady and she will be greatly missed.

    I sent her a fan letter in the early 2000's and she sent me back two gorgeous 8 by 10 photographs of her when she was young and signed them both "To Jill". I treasure those two gifts still, after all these years later. 😊

    I've just finished watching ' How green was my valley ' again, and wept prodigiously throughout.
    Ms. O'Hara starred in the film, and she was oh so achingly beautiful. At one point I found her smile so captivating that I froze the picture and just sat staring at it.
    Her beauty was quite dazzling.

      @ceciliem1811 7 лет назад +2

      Avi, what does this interview have to do with Whitney Houston, a singer? Whitney's oldest brother started her on drugs! Maureen, was a child actress, and a great one! She was an excellent actress period! You don't know what type of life that she led; do you? There is no comparison!

    • @zeldafan1942

    Dear Maureen O'Hara: I knew you were going to be honored in Hollywood: so glad I saw 8 minutes of it on the Internet. I always knew you were and are a Christian lady who dearly loves Jesus. To hear you say so just thrilled my heart! By the way, we are neighbors in Boise! How I wish I knew your address so we could visit one another. I understand, at 93, it is not easy for you, but God! I am 72. I have sung professionally for Jesus for 50 years. When you are in Boise, I can sing for you in person! My Boise phone: 208-342-4889. I am a Lyric Tenor: Gospel Opera, and I am astounding only as by Jesus Himself who gave me this precious gift of song. I love you, dear Maureen O'Hara. I hope you call: Love to you: Bob Bateman
