There have been no new Aston’s yet since him if you ignore the F1 car itself and that’s something they bought so not exactly a whole new car. The revised DB11 in the form of the DB12 however is a long over due upgrade to that model and does show considerable promise with minimal development overheads compared to an outright new platform. It shows great sales potential and thank goodness it’s not an EV that would cost a pointless fortune.

Unfortunately this hasn't aged well. The stock is doing terrible. Fallen down since last fall. There is no one reason, more of a speculators getting cold feet. The debt is still large but it was knows when they agreed to it. The company rebuild is on schedule, the few issues were the Valkyre deliveries which was less then planned for 2021. The one-off models are all sold out in advance. The volume maker DBX is selling well. The electrification is on schedule, for 2024 hybrid models, 2025 full electric cars. Complete electric line-up by the end of the decade is possible. The new F1 factory is being built with wind tunnel. The issue is the 2022 car being a dog, due to the porpoising and the MB power unit being the weakest of all 4 at the moment. If they solve the bouncing issue and MB cranks out a little more power, the team should go up to the mid-field again. Hate to see the current car being so beautiful and yet, so weak.
Aston Martin's prestige around the world is being restored. More and more people look at the brand with aspiration and their cars are appearing on wall-papers and listed as dream cars.
They need a 2nd model next to the DBX that will bring in volume and steady cash. Something that they can produce with ease and based on tried solid technology. Mr. Lawrence saved the F1 team - Force India - and saved Aston Martin, the legendary British icon. If you think about this, he is a hero of the automotive world. Lots of people ridicules the team at the moment and say that FI was better. When ? 5-6 years ago. FI was falling down the points and most engineers and talents left the company. When Mr. Stroll bought the company, it was in pieces. Not in 4th place. The car was old , outdated, so was the factory and its remaining employee's were not getting paid and were frustrated.
He literally saved the team from being extinct.
Very similar story with Aston Martin. They had a bunch of good idea's but the company was lost and in dire straits. Give him time to show both F1 team and AM to be perfect, but even now at the 2 year marks both alive and well, but maybe not at the performance level where we needed. The stocks should start rising again once the world issues are calming.
