Good idea apart from watching that even with there motion cap suit wearer haveing eyes a few times it looked like they almost hit office furniture which will hurt.

I mean there are places that are one step ahead of this. Where they have a physically built their maps in real life, have digital representations and all you need is the controllers, goggles and and a backpack.
@@justcows7772 There are also some facilities for consumers like somthing named "the void" located in salt lake city dont know if its accesible for everyone jet but they recreated every map basicly without colors in real life so you can touch everything and feel the texture when u interact with it, another idea they had is when you get like outside in the wind you would be acutally blasted with blowers so you can feel it. I saw it a few years ago as they started making this stuff when first vr headsets came out but i lost track of it if they ever finished something for real (just looked it up and turns out they have a few more locations now and you can actually book this stuff)

@@nnrmnlg It's a big space, so there are some hardware issues right out of the gate
- They'd need a wireless setup
- they'd need a VR headset that supports lighthouse 2.0, and they'd need to place quite a few lighthouses, in such a way that you never see more than 4 at a time.
On the software side: unless the suit tracking and the lighthouse tracking happen to line up exactly, they'd need to write some janky logic to make them work together.
Yeah who knows they probably were short on time and wanted to get the video out soon.
@@RC-1290 I mean, they already have their setup tracking head movement and also have 1st person view footage. Cant they just send this footage to their player's VR headset? It doesnt even has to be a real vr headset, just something that you strap your phone in so it would be in front of your eyes, like samsung gear.

Karl Franz , Emperor of Mankind, chosen of Sigmar but it is though, he uses a game engine that can be learned in a week, granted some previous programming knowledge on at a basic level, and an open sdk that does all of the player controls for you, in reality this is as simple as playing minecraft - in terms of building a scene, then just connecting like 5 things together in code and their sdk handles pretty much everything with unity doing all of the physics calculations in the background with no need for you todo anything remotely are in terms of programming and level design. The hardest thing about this was probably just making sure the room was actually linked up with the game scene. It wouldnt haven been too much harder either to throw in some vr gear, i get he tried hard but this isnt really impressive at all

Make a black hat co operative type of game. The computer user uses a vr headset to talk the map from a computer room and the suit guy goes through obstacles
Game idea: You are an area 51 guard that caught wind of Jake's plethora of verified conspiracy files because someone disabled his ExpressVPN, your mission objective is simple - break into the Corridor Digital conference room and retrieve said files without waking up the overworked VFX artists that have stayed up all night rendering deepfakes.
Stealth behavior: Proximity based, meaning getting too close will alert an artist. Movement based, meaning erratic and twitchy movement will cause an area of affect that can trigger artists. Sound based, meaning objects in the playspace will cause sound if moved, if that sound reaches an artist, the artist will be briefly alert and have a view cone, if the player is inside that viewcone he will trigger the alarm.
Combat behavior: If an artist is fully alert, the player will have one dose of secret Area 51 bathwater they can throw at the artist, if successful the artist is pacified in a state of bliss for a minute and completely forgets previous encounters and is unable to be alerted in the following minute.
You should buy/create a tracker for your camera so you could watch the IRL player and the game player side by side from the same perspective.
They'd already experimented with mixed reality setups, so it's entirely possible. It's probably more of a coding problem.

Dude this is sick! A cool idea could be like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, but instead of diffusing a stationary bomb, the pieces to defuse are all around the studio, and there's, like, fake walls in the game that block the MoCap person, I think that would be really cool.

You could link this up to a mobile app version of the game so the play could also wear a Google Cardboard VR headset and actually see where they're going. For proof-of-concept it would be easiest to network the MoCap suit with the VR headset as two separate players, where player 1 is MoCap and player two is just a camera fixed to the head model of player 1. This would cover visual and audio immersion.
Luckily with Unity, deploying this as a mobile app is really easy, so the transforms between the two versions would be pretty minimal.
